About the role

The Support Coach role involves:

• Supporting volunteer facilitators by coaching them through the opportunities, challenges and obstacles of running a Kids Matter programme
• Training and upskilling facilitators by helping run events and develop new resources
• Working with the wider Kids Matter team to encourage and strengthen Kids Matter’s church partnerships

At Kids Matter, we are committed to delivering effective coaching. All Support Coaches are given the opportunity to go through the coaching accreditation process with ICF to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Kids Matter provides the support and supervision for this to take place, and will cover the cost of the accreditation if the individual remains employed as a Support Coach for the two years following applying for accreditation. If the individual leaves before two years, a percentage of the accreditation cost will be required to pay back.

We are recruiting a Peer Involvement Worker to join the Involvement Team and become part of a vibrant and ambitious Lived Experience Workforce.  It is essential that applicants have personal lived experience of mental and emotional distress, and personal experience of accessing secondary care mental health services, or experience of caring for, or supporting someone who has. Please note that experience of working in mental health related services alone will not meet this criterion.

The Peer Involvement Worker will work primarily within the coproduction and involvement workstream, supporting the Trust to develop meaningful and impactful coproduction and involvement opportunities for people with lived experience of Trust services, their carers, family, and friends.

Through joining the Lived Experience Network, people with lived experience of Trust services are offered the opportunity to use their lived experience within activities that support the development and improvement of services. 2. Main duties of the role:

You will use your lived experience, peer support values and principles to support people with lived experience of Trust services to join the Lived Experience Network. The post holder will build connections with Lived Experience Members, gaining an understanding of their lived experience of services, their interests and what they would like to gain from taking part. You will use this knowledge to support members to become involved in activities that align with their lived experience, and to assist the Involvement Administrative Coordinator in reviewing expressions of interests and selecting members for opportunities.

The Peer Involvement Worker role involves supporting members in their involvement through 1 to 1 check-ins, training, group sessions, and by offering support before, during and after involvement activities. You will play a role in supporting the development and delivery of the Lived Experience Member Training & Support Framework.

The post holder will contact and visit teams and people in services to recruit new members and to develop staff awareness of involvement and coproduction. You will offer support to staff to plan, advertise, and run involvement activities with the aim of developing meaningful and impactful involvement.

1. To work alongside the Involvement Project Lead, the Involvement Administrative Coordinator, two Peer Involvement Coordinators, and the wider Involvement Team.

2. Use peer support values and principles within the context of supporting people to take part in involvement and coproduction activities.

3. Support people with lived experience of trust services through the registration process to enable them to join the Lived Experience Network.

We’re recruiting a forward thinking, strategic and compassionate Head of Family Services to lead the development of our support services delivered by our team of Family Support Workers to families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands. This is a newly created role and a key position in our small, impactful charity.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in family support, health or social care, excellent people and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of families facing childhood cancer.

The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role leading work to support our food banks to deliver a warm welcome, emergency food, and access to tailored support and advice for people experiencing poverty in communities across Northern Ireland, while we work together for long-term structural changes to tackle drivers of food bank need.

· Food Bank Support: Manage the delivery of support to food banks in Northern Ireland ensuring our community of food banks remain resilient and can provide a compassionate service to people in need of emergency food for as long as services are needed.

The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home.

  • booking accommodation and travel arrangements when required

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Casework Administrator to join the Scottish Regional Office team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support and undertaking virtual telephone casework across the whole of Scotland, working remotely with SSAFA branch volunteers and Regional Office colleagues to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to the Scottish Regional Office. You will work closely with the Regional Casework Managers and the Regional Manager.

The post is home-based and lone working with support from your line manager and team colleagues and you must have a fast, stable broadband connection in your proposed workspace. You may have to travel occasionally around Scotland or elsewhere in the UK; expenses will be paid.

About the team

In this role you will be working closely with volunteers from seventeen SSAFA branches across Scotland, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team which includes 2 Casework Managers and a Regional Manager and a team of Regional Casework Co-ordinators.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. The successful candidate will have experience of using their own initiative, planning and managing their workload with minimal supervision. You should be experienced at writing descriptive reports following a recommended structure. This role requires you to be a resilient person and it would be advantageous if you understand the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. About the Role

We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.

At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.

The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.

You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations

Key responsibilities include:

· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.

· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.

· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.

· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.

· Monitor, collate and report on work carried out, toward learning goals and impact reporting, coordinated by the Senior Education Officer to support the programme evaluation.

· Support volunteers and build capacity working with partner site staff in the delivery of beaver education programmes.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young audiences, preferably within a wildlife or conservation setting. About the Department/Role

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

The NST itself comprises three departments: Casework, Programmes and Administration, and Learning and Development, which provides high-quality safeguarding learning, policy, and guidance to those working, paid or unpaid, licensed or lay, in the Church of England. In this vital role, you'll join a dynamic team committed to nurturing high-quality safeguarding practice throughout the Church. You'll work alongside our two National Safeguarding Learning and Development Managers, delivering engaging in-person and online training for senior leaders, diocesan staff, and safeguarding officers.

• Deliver national learning events, including SLSP, with a focus on systemic theory and leadership development.
