What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

As Partnerships Officer, you will play a central role in managing high-quality relationships with Martingale’s growing network of partners, while also supporting the governance and operational functions of the organisation. Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and our existing Partnerships Officer, you will help ensure that funders, supporters, and mission-aligned organisations feel valued, engaged, and recognised for their contribution to Martingale’s success.
A key part of your role will be to strengthen relationships with funders and university partners, building long-term commitment to Martingale’s mission. You will manage relationships with multiple departments across our ten partner universities, coordinating internally to ensure these partnerships run smoothly. Alongside this, you will support the operation of Martingale’s key governance bodies, including the Advisory Board, Student Advisory Board, Academic Advisory Committee and Scholarship Selection Committee, ensuring timely communications, accurate records, and positive engagement with members. You will also lead on partnerships with aligned charities that connect our Scholars to earlier stages of the STEM pipeline.
You will be responsible for communications and reporting across our supporter network, ensuring partnerships are effective and mutually beneficial. We are looking for a strong communicator with experience in partnership management and external relations. You may have demonstrated this through cross-organisational projects, even if it was not your primary role. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the delivery of the partner relations strategy, working with our 40+ partners to effectively build long-term successful relationships. In collaboration with the CEO, you will support new and existing funders, in-kind supporters, partner charities, and Ambassadors, ensuring they feel valued, informed and connected to Martingale’s mission.
- Strengthen and deepen relationships with partners through a structured and personalised programme of engagement, recognition, and reporting, including invitations to events throughout the academic year.
- Oversight of all university partnerships, including reporting, communications, and course confirmations. This will include working closely with all Martingale staff for effective management of key partnership contacts across development offices, multiple departments, and doctoral programmes.
- Oversee the smooth running of Martingale’s governance bodies, building on the existing governance framework to ensure continuity across the different groups.
- Liaise with the team to maintain accurate records of both financial and in-kind contributions.
- Lead on the development and delivery of the annual impact report, alongside bespoke reports for funders as appropriate.
- Accurate record keeping of partnership engagement on Martingale’s CRM.
- Build a range of case studies on Scholars, partner universities, funders, and other supporters to strengthen Martingale’s messaging to new funders.
- Work closely with the other Partnerships Officer to ensure fundraising campaign targets are met, providing relevant materials and support where needed.
- Support in the delivery of key Martingale events such as Solve for X and our annual Welcome Dinner

We are recruiting two Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners to join our Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Team at YMCA East Surrey.
Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) will be expected to integrate into YMCA East Surrey’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) team and to support all early intervention work. You will assess and deliver (under supervision), outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
This Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner role includes completion of the Child Wellbeing Practice Postgraduate or Graduate level Diploma run by the University of
Sussex, which follows the nationally agreed curriculum to qualify as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.
The post holder must have experience of working with children, young people and families with multiple and/or complex needs and hold a minimum qualification equivalent to a NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field. In addition, the successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
For the Level 6 (Graduate Diploma) the minimum level would be 3 x A-levels with grades of AAB - BBB (BBC if meet the criteria for contextual offer), or an equivalent qualification such as NVQ level 3 or above, or equivalent experience (and proven ability to work at graduate level). Evidence of experience of working with children and young people.
For the Level 7 (Post-graduate Diploma) the minimum requirement is a Graduate Degree at 2:2, NVQ level 6 or above in Health Care or equivalent experience (and proven ability to work at post-graduate level)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Includes attendance at the University of Sussex 2 days per week from January to October.

· Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post including practical, academic and practice-based assessments.
· As well as attendance at the University for training, fulfil private study requirements to enhance learning and prepare assignments for examination - recommendation is 150 hours of study for each of the 8 modules, which includes the teaching days.
· Assess and integrate issues relating to transitions, education and training/employment into the overall therapeutic process.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Mentor Co-ordination (recruitment, onboarding, supervision and support)
- Collaborate with and support the Programme Delivery team to design and deliver bespoke training for mentors, both online and face-to-face.
- Lead on the recruitment, onboarding, and training of mentors, working with programme delivery team to deliver a seamless mentor journey.
- Partner with the MarComms team to coordinate communications with volunteering partners and mentors about online and face-to-face opportunities. Lead and coordinate the full mentor journey in collaboration with MarComms, including recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Co-develop and uphold robust volunteer policies and procedures with Operations and HR, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and legislation (including safeguarding, child protection, risk management, health and safety, and data protection). Coordinate with HR on implementation, including DBS, right-to-work, and reference checks.
- Encourage best practice sharing across the volunteer community, fostering collaboration and peer learning.
- Lead on recognition and celebration of mentors, including national campaign days, showcasing their contribution to TDA’s work.

- Equip and support mentors on safeguarding, ensuring they understand policies and procedures through training and ongoing guidance.

EXPERIENCE
- Experience of volunteer management (experience working with corporate volunteers is a bonus)
- A proven track record in designing and delivering effective and engaging training to volunteers
- Knowledge and experience in safeguarding and child protection (or willingness to undertake training)
- Experience of writing clear, concise and engaging policies and procedures
- A demonstrable understanding of the role of youth work in contributing to positive outcomes for young people and different models of delivery

RMF is a registered charity founded in 1855 whose aim is to assist registered doctors and their families who are in financial hardship. The Royal Medical Foundation is a charity based at Epsom College in Surrey, UK. It was founded in 1855 by Dr. John Propert. The foundation’s primary mission is to assist GMC-registered doctors and their families who are experiencing financial hardship. The foundation provides support in several ways: regular payments to doctors, widows, widowers, and children of doctors; One-off grants for emergency situations; and assistance with school fees for the children of doctors, helping to maintain educational stability during times of distress caused by illness, bereavement, or financial need.
The Role
The role will be assisting and supporting the case work manager in the good running, granting and management of awards to beneficiaries and the development of its impact in accordance with the RMF’s charitable objectives. The caseworker will report to the Case Work Manager but is accountable to the Chair of the RMF.
Case Work duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Investigating all applications, which meet the Foundation’s guidelines to satisfy their eligibility for financial assistance. Checking the applicants’ personal and financial circumstances to make recommendations of the type and amount of assistance required. Investigating supporting documentation, potential beneficiaries and conducting due diligence to eliminate any fraudulent applications, particularly if information provided is inconsistent.
- Ensuring applicants meet the Foundation guidelines and eligibility criteria and provide the relevant information needed.
- Support the Casework Manager with preparing, drafting and presenting case papers for quarterly RMF Board meetings, as well as regularly reviewing cases and providing updates where necessary.
- Administering new and existing grants and awards, including administration of regular payments to beneficiaries. Maintaining regular contact with all beneficiaries and ensuring that any problems are dealt with swiftly. Regularly reviewing and updating existing beneficiaries’ financial circumstances and liaising with the finance department and Administrator accordingly.
- Signposting and referring as and when necessary to other agencies (e.g. social workers) and charities. Maintaining close liaison with all the other Medical Charities to ensure that all applicants receive the assistance they need, and to prevent unnecessary duplication in financial assistance. Attending regular meetings held by trusts and charities to stay connected with developments in the voluntary sector and for networking purposes.
- Signposting to support applicants with Welfare Benefit advice - ensuring that beneficiaries are in full receipt of all their eligible Welfare Benefits.
Office and management duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
General Administration
- General office administration including dealing with all post, emails, and telephone calls for the RMF.
- Ensuring the various application forms and letter templates are kept up to date, including changes to state benefits.
- Track and monitor applicant and case load data, identifying any trends or patterns of behaviours. Regularly monitor and update key metrics relating to applicants and case work including number of applicants per quarter and their profile/demographic, number of open and closed cases and report to the Board on a quarterly basis.
- Draft a quarterly report to the Board, monitoring data and identifying trends relating to key metrics relating to applicants and case work including the number of applicants per quarter, their profile/demographic, number of open and closed cases.
- Providing timely information as requested by the auditors and responding to any queries form the Auditors. Assisting the Director of Finance and Secretary to Council in preparing for and drafting the Annual Report and Financial Statement.
RMF Board Meetings
- Support the Casework Manager with preparing the case papers and all supporting documentation for the Board meetings.
- Preparing the award and refusal letters after each meeting, in line with decisions made as recorded in the Minutes.
- Managing and tracking each beneficiary offer and acceptance of award.
Payment Arrangements
- Ensuring there is sufficient funding available for awards agreed by the Trustees. Liaising with the finance team to ensure payments are made on time and are accurate. Providing appropriate updated data to the Director of Finance (of Epsom College) to add to the Grants Financial Statement.
- Providing information for payment of the monthly BACS and other payments with supporting evidence and liaising with Director of Finance and Administrator for approval of payments.
- Ensuring the correct withdrawal of unused funds is put forward at each meeting and inform Accounts Department accordingly to deduct on the Grants Financial Statement when approved.
- Ensuring that the various payments requested by the beneficiaries are reasonable, are consistent with the minuted decision, that funding is available, and payment is actioned appropriately.
Marketing and Profile raising
- Support the Caseworker Manager in developing and implementing plans to raise the profile of the RMF and target appropriate audiences within the medical sector to increase appropriate applications and report back to the Board.
- Assisting the Caseworker Manager in raising awareness of the work of RMF including writing articles for medical publications, applying for charity grants and awards as well participating in charity award events;
Compliance
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Casework Manager (or other senior manager) who will escalate to the Safeguarding Lead where appropriate – following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative guidance applicable to the Charity, including the Charities Commission guidance.
- Ensure board reporting, recording keeping and working practices are compliant with Data Protection principles, UK GDPR and other regulatory requirements;
- Maintaining a high standard of record keeping and detailed case records, including attendance notes of any communication with applicants.

- Experience in promoting a charity’s mission and goals to offer appropriate support to potential applicants
- A good working knowledge of the processing of grants and awards in compliance with regulatory standards, alongside financial acumen

This will involve ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, larger projects may be handled by you directly at times. Programmes can vary from delivery of media literacy workshops in schools, counter extremism training in PRUs to city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.

Key responsibilities

Manage and deliver on our diverse projects

Coordinate our UK and US based delivery teams.

Recruit, coordinate and support schools and teachers across the UK to take on our political and media literacy workshops and projects.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, councils and other stakeholders.

Assist in the collection and collation of data for the project’s monitoring and evaluation activities, including pre- and post-session surveys.

Contribute to the preparation of project reports.

Coordination and growth of our freelance delivery network, known as the Community Facilitator Network (CFN).

Occasionally travel nationally and/or internationally, if required.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in project coordination or administration, preferably in the education, non-profit, or related sector.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Experience in event planning and logistics coordination.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and other relevant software.

A strong interest in political and media literacy, civic engagement, and addressing online harms.

Ability to work independently and proactively, taking initiative to solve problems.

Familiarity with online learning platforms and virtual communication tools.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, communications) is preferred.

Strong writing skills are desirable.

You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

About The Role
The Programme Manager will form part of our European programme team, working closely with our functional leads to deliver impactful strategies that target emissions reductions from heavy emitting industries in the EU. This role will focus mainly on the issue of Chemicals Decarbonisation - where experience is preferable but not required - and take the lead on delivering EU-targeted activities and outputs. This role is initially set as a 12-month contract, with potential to extend, and will report into our Head of Policy and Research.
What you will do

Work with Climate Catalyst colleagues and partner organisations to develop policy options, positions and recommendations for European chemicals and to ensure effective engagement of business across different stages of our campaigns;

Identify policy options and contribute to determining strategic policy positions and recommendations for decision-makers and those who influence them.

Strengthen and build relationships of trust with key businesses, business NGOs, trade associations and other private sector actors
-
Conduct stakeholder mapping, research, and analysis to identify strategies and tactics to effectively engage businesses and potentially investors in support of our policy objectives.

Build knowledge in the field of decarbonising chemicals, with a specific focus on policy mechanisms such as the EU Emissions Trading System and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

Lead strategies with partners for successfully targeting and engaging businesses to achieve goals and objectives to influence government policy

In collaboration with partners, strategically engage C-suite executives and senior business leaders in support of campaign objectives, drawing on your network and the networks of other colleagues and partners as relevant

Keep track of climate policy, technology, and economic trends pertaining to the private sector internationally, and specifically in Europe.

Engage subject-matter experts, consultants, and researchers as necessary to support our strategies.

Produce business-orientated outreach and policy advocacy materials – including memos, brief reports, letters of commitments, talking points, and speeches for business leaders.

Produce scopes and terms of reference for targeted research on essential chemicals which will shed light on trade offs and influence our target audience.

Represent Climate Catalyst at relevant events and forums organised by partners and businesses associations.
What You Would Bring

At least five years of demonstrated experience in engaging businesses towards policy advocacy relating to climate change issues.

Experience engaging with EU policy-making processes

Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on organisation-wide strategies.

Knowledge and understanding of the key issues pertaining to decarbonisation of the chemicals sector or other industrial decarbonisation policies and areas pertinent to Europe.

Strong initiative and an ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to distil complex issues for a lay audience.
