With almost one million young people currently not in education, employment or training (NEET), the need to create meaningful pathways into work and learning has never been greater.

We believe earlier intervention is key to solving the NEET crisis. This means delivering opportunities to practise and apply skills in real-world contexts. Providing meaningful encounters with a wide range of industries and professionals. And meeting young people where they are to build their confidence.
We’re seeking a project manager to lead this work with our trusted industry partners, working in collaboration with employers, local and combined authorities, schools and charities. We are currently delivering Ignite projects in Blackpool, East Riding of Yorkshire, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Northampton, Rochdale and London, and may take on additional projects in new locations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead our Ignite place-based programmes, managing workshops, employer engagement, and volunteer coordination, while ensuring local partners stay central to design and delivery.
- Oversee programme delivery, stakeholder relationships, coordination and logistics
- Through targeted interventions ensure the right workshops and people are in place to support young people to raise their aspirations, develop their skills and bridge the gap between education and employment
This role is a hybrid of strategic and operational work.
Please note, these projects follow The Talent Foundry delivery model of being facilitator-led and supported by industry volunteers. As the project lead you will not be facilitating or teaching workshops, or providing 121 support to students.

About the role
This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.
Supported by the Statutory Grants Manager, this role is fundamental in developing, advancing and championing both new and existing income from local authorities, health providers, and other local commissioning bodies and grant funders. About the Role
The Donor Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the Trust’s ambitions to grow and diversify its membership base. This includes providing efficient administration for individual and corporate donors, delivering high-quality customer service, and helping to strengthen member relationships through proactive engagement and milestone recognition. The role directly contributes to the success of the Trust’s urban nature conservation work by ensuring a positive and seamless experience for supporters.
You’ll be based at the Wildlife Trust’s Head Office at Centre of the Earth, 42 Norman Street, Birmingham, B18 7EP, with some work at our EcoPark site in Small Heath and occasional travel across the region and nationally.
Key responsibilities
·Provide administrative support for membership recruitment and fundraising campaigns such as upgrade campaigns, lead generation campaigns and fundraising appeals.
· Accurate data entry into the Trust’s CRM database, including communication records and changes to payment details, changes to Direct Debits information, gift aid declaration, contact information and marketing preferences.
· Prepare contact lists of new members and lapsed members, to either complete or coordinate welcome/leaver calls as appropriate
· Provide professional and high-quality customer service when communicating with prospective or active member and donor enquiries including via telephone and by monitoring the membership and other inboxes.
· Complete membership renewal processes including the handling of payment by cheques, cash and credit/debit card payments.
· Collate and issue new member welcome letters, welcome packs and Direct Debit confirmation letters in a timely fashion.
· Issue written and / or oral ‘thank you’ communications to members and donors.
· Stock management of member magazine resources and place orders with suppliers.
· Raise purchase orders for commission-based membership recruitment and process clawback claims accordingly.
· Support with the co-ordination and administration of member-only events such as AGM.
· Comply with the Trusts’ Data Protection Policy and ensuring confidentiality of all donor data.
· Maintain awareness of trends in the fundraising sector – particularly membership.

Role Overview: Fundraising Director
The successful candidate will lead RLS’s income generation through our next phase of development. You’ll oversee our relationships with key funders, individual giving, our approach to major donors and our communications. You’ll work closely with the Management Team and trustees to set and implement fundraising strategy and highlight and manage risk.
As a member of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the organisation, with involvement in decisions from strategy to HR, project design and many other aspects of our work.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising strategy and development ○ Lead the development and delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy to meet our funding targets and deliver our strategy.
- Meaningfully involve and guide the Management Team, trustees and Fundraising Officer in strategy development and delivery.
- Develop new funding sources as appropriate.
- Ensure that funding sources fit with RLS’s values and our moral and ethical fundraising policy.
- In future, there may be other line management responsibilities as RLS’s staff changes to meet our new strategy.
2. Organisational leadership
- Work with the Management Team and trustees to lead on the delivery of RLS’s strategic objectives.
- Work with the Management Team to lead RLS, including finding creative solutions to issues as they arise and ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.

3. Lead on funder relationships
- Develop and cultivate relationships with potential funders.

- Work closely with the Fundraising Officer to develop and deliver RLS’s communications strategy.

- Organise and deliver events from time-to-time to support the delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy.
7. Risk management, reporting and record keeping
- Ensure that the Management Team and board have an accurate picture of RLS’s financial position, including a clear picture of risk.
- Oversee accurate records of funder and donor relationships and income through our CRM.
8. Representing RLS and occasional travel
- Represent RLS at events from time to time.
- Occasional travel, potentially including international travel.
9. Line management
- Provide high quality line management to the Fundraising Officer.
In future, there may be other line management responsibilities as RLS’s staff changes to meet our new strategy.
