The Healthy Ageing Project will address specific challenges within the community, while actively promoting healthy ageing in practical and effective ways across our network.
We will focus on the strengths and expertise of our member groups to promote engagement with Ireland's unique music, dance, sport, language and culture.
We will work together with our members throughout this three-year journey. Together, we will develop, launch and promote a project geared towards improving health and wellbeing, reducing health inequality and providing strategic direction for national health programmes and policy recommendations for the Irish community.
This post is part time (17.5 hours per week) and will be based in the North of England, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester etc.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising who can galvanise support for our work from funders and donors, develop a high-performing fundraising team, and support colleagues in developing fundable projects to restore habitats, engage people and bring wildlife back. Main Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the Trust’s fundraising, overseeing development of prospect pipelines and growing income year on year from membership, major donors, individual giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, grants and charitable trusts, ensuring that the Trust achieves its restricted and unrestricted income targets
• Inspire funding support for the Trust’s work through relationship-based fundraising with major donors, corporates and grant-making bodies
• Enable delivery colleagues to secure funding for their work, supporting the development of fundable projects and high quality bids and securing continuation funding
• Stimulate growth in individual giving from members and non-members through the development and implementation of an ambitious plan incorporating supporter development, recruitment and retention.
• Ensure fundraising systems are working effectively and all activity is compliant with the Trust’s policies, fundraising guidelines from regulators, and all relevant legislation, including Data Protection and Health and Safety.
• Manage an integrated functional team across fundraising, contribute to the direction and development of the Trust as a member of the leadership team and undertake other duties in line with the role as requested

Keep Britain Tidy has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the Chewing Gum Task Force programme. The Chewing Gum Task Force is a partnership between Defra, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland, Scottish Government and Welsh Government and chewing gum producers including Mars Wrigley and Perfetti Van Melle which aims to clean up historic gum staining from UK high streets and change behaviour so that more people bin their gum.
The Project Manager will lead on overall administration of the scheme and manage the cleansing grant programme for councils, working alongside partner organisation Behaviour Change. In Years 1 and 2 of the scheme, participating councils have seen reductions in gum littering of up to 80% in the first two months. Now in Year 3, we will shortly distribute more than £1.2m funding to councils across the UK.
This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management, ideally in environmental projects and/or grant schemes. Excellent organisational and record keeping skills are a must, along with the ability to form good working relationships with Chewing Gum Task Force stakeholders.

The Role
As the Legacies Manager, you will assume a pivotal role within our dynamic Partnership and Development team. - Work closely with the Head of Relationship Fundraising and other fundraising colleagues to ensure that all fundraising activities are well-coordinated and contribute towards the overall fundraising strategy.
- Identify growth opportunities that foster organisational projects which impact and improve the Legacy programme.
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of legacy giving opportunities within the organisation. “Empty Spaces to Homes” is a ground-breaking initiative focused on a circular buildings approach that already has a feasible proof of concept from piloting, with strong upscaling potential. The premise is simple; unlocking the potential of long term empty commercial spaces to create affordable housing for vulnerable people. As well as the social benefits of adding to affordable housing stock, the Empty Spaces to Homes approach of retrofitting existing structures – at a much lower carbon cost - offers a greener and more sustainable way to meet the housing gap, in comparison to the environmental impact of the new build construction industry. Breaking down long-standing barriers to resource-efficient renovation is essential if the UK is to play its part in meeting ambitious global decarbonisation targets.
Purpose of The role
The UK Housing Advocacy Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading advocacy efforts, shaping policies, and promoting sustainable housing solutions for affordable housing in Great Britain, particularly through our groundbreaking initiative "Empty Spaces to Homes."
As this is a new role, and is being recruited alongside the Head of Global Affairs and Advocacy, key responsibilities will include the establishment of a new function at Habitat GB. Bristol Old Vic’s Fundraising and Development Department is responsible for building financial sustainability for BOV through securing external funding from individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations.
The Development Officer: Individuals & Corporates will secure income from individuals, through our giving schemes and major gifts, and corporate sponsors who support productions, engagement and community work and the newly formed literary department. We are seeking to recruit a person with passion for our purpose and a collaborative spirit to be the strategic lead on our football and multisport commitment.
The multi-sport facilities commitment is a key priority within Sport England’s Uniting the Movement Implementation Plan. As part of this commitment, up to £224 million of Government funding is being invested into football facilities for 2022-25 through the Football Foundation, with a minimum of 40% of that investment required to benefit other sports.
We are seeking a strategic lead who will focus on supporting our Active Partnership network to activate football and multi-sport community sites through influencing policy, distributing funds and working closely with key National Governing Bodies, sporting and football stakeholders to develop positive and sustainable relationships.
This role and the work of colleagues, including local Active Partnerships, ensures local communities have more access to places to play football and other sports in their local area and aligns with Sport England’s Uniting the Movement strategy.
The strategic lead will also work closely with the Multi-Sport programme manager and Active Environment lead to oversee the Multi-Sport Activity and Facilities Fund, which was announced last year and which will provide revenue funding to deliver multi-sport activity and some small-scale capital test and learn investment. Close working with the eight regional leads who liaise with local Active Partnerships will also be vital.
The Active Partnerships National Organisation (ANPO) will work on the programme alongside key partners. These include Active Partnerships from across the network to deliver the fund locally, the Football Foundation, the LTA Parks Tennis, England Hockey, and Sport England. The latter has invested £8 million of National Lottery funding across a four-year period.
The fund is an opportunity for local communities to fully benefit from facility activation investment in their area, where an opportunity for new multi-sport activity has been identified. The fund will focus on activating PlayZones and other Football Foundation 3G or grass pitches, parks (Lawn Tennis Association Parks Tennis) and artificial grass pitch sites (England Hockey) in targeted areas. Selection is based on criteria such as Active Partnerships priority places and Sport England’s place-based expansion.
Roles and Responsibilities
•Develop and lead relationships with Sport England and strategic partners, specifically with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) leads and the Football Foundation.

About EFA
English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. We’ve become a national centre of good practice for a radical participatory approach to ESOL, informed by the work of Paulo Freire, and we share this approach through trainings, research and partnerships.
