The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive continuum of care, supporting young people in our local community who have had a more challenging start in life. This role will be paramount in enabling these young people to ‘discover who they are and what they can become’.

As a proactive member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role is also responsible for the development of an organisational culture that puts our Mission Statement, Purpose, Values and Christian Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility at the heart of all we do.

The role will focus on providing an outstanding environment for children to thrive in whilst ensuring that we are compliant with OFSTED and other regulatory bodies. You will also demonstrate expertise in Safeguarding and be able to lead the growth of the provision.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing the strategic direction, financial sustainability and leadership framework for the children’s residential service and to maintain the operational overview of service delivery and service improvements.

You will oversee and project manage the sourcing and registration of new homes and services, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise efficient use of resources and develop a sustainable business plan and business model which reflect the strategic objectives in relation to the children’s residential homes service.

You will work with the Head of Children’s Residential Services to develop a workforce development plan that promotes effective recruitment of a skilled workforce, enables existing staff to develop additional skills to support the service growth, enables internal promotion, and engages staff to sustain the longevity of employment.

You will be instrumental to the development and growth of our service and help realise the positive ambitions we have to make a difference every day to the lives of the children and young people in our care.

With extensive experience of children's residential care, you will have experience of the day to day operations and the strategic overview to drive growth.  You will be able to share your success where you have opened and expanded services and also be able to highlight to us you experience of sourcing and securing funding streams and all that entails.

You will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills; whether interacting with one of our young people, a member of staff or a member of our Board, you will act with professionalism and kindness; your ability to inspire and motivate will be a key asset and you will create a culture of team work and technical excellence within your service.

Blue Ventures is seeking a Social Media Manager to coordinate our social media communications' strategy, delivery, and measurement. Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from May 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.

You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.

Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:

· Raising awareness

· Supporting those affected by sepsis

· Educating health professionals

· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.

2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.

3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.

5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential

6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.

7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.

8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.

Day to day activities will include:

1. Managing an inbox and replying to enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Oldham Poverty Action Network Coordinator

The role

The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. You will work closely with Oldham Local Motion who is a key funder of the Oldham Poverty Action Network.

· To provide effective coordination of the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network and it’s associated programmes of work.

· To facilitate the Network’s meetings, creating the space for inclusive innovation through workshops and workstream meetings.

· To work alongside Network members to plan and deliver projects and programmes to tackle the root causes of poverty in Oldham.

· To ensure that the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network is delivered in line with the aims and values set out by the Network and Local Motion and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice, including continuing to be driven by those with Lived Experience of Poverty.

· To ensure that the Oldham Poverty Action Network resources are spent in accordance with funding  agreements, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

The Community and Events Fundraising Officer (East Coast of Scotland) will be joining a hard-working and talented fundraising team, working closely with our Senior Community, Event & Individual Giving Fundraising Officer, Community and Events Fundraising Officer (West Coast of Scotland), our SHA Communications team, as well as the wider SHA team.

We are looking for an engaging, passionate and tenacious person who can deliver strong, cost effective and sustainable income growth for the charity, along with good copy writing, admin and organisational skills, experienced at developing relationships, and can manage a busy and varied workload. This is a chance for you to channel your varied skills, qualities, and passion for relationship building to improve the lives of families impacted by Huntington’s disease in Scotland.

About the role

The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward. As the Director of SPCA you will lead and guide a highly skilled and motivated team to make the SPCA a community hub and a centre of excellence which has a positive impact on the lives of local residents.

The governance of SPCA is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Director will report directly to this Board and work closely with Board members.

Key responsibilities

• To build strong relationships with members of the local community, community groups, representatives and service providers to ensure that strategies and services are based on an understanding of the community’s needs and the contribution that SPCA is best placed to make as part of the of the range of local support services.

• To develop and deliver a business plan based on a financially sustainable strategic vision and which maximises the use of existing and emerging funding and income generation sources and opportunities.

• To provide a caring and highly supportive working environment which enables all staff and partners to fully contribute their skills, knowledge and perspectives.

• To manage, plan and monitor budgets to ensure the continuing financial sustainability of the Centre and to work with the Treasurer to ensure that the Centre is operating effective, and compliant accounting practices, policies and procedures.

• To maintain an effective and transparent working relationship with the Board of Trustees to

  Main tasks

• Overseeing all fundraising activities from trusts, the local authority, local businesses and the community.

• Overseeing the development and implementation of an income generation strategy that includes maintaining and securing funding from statutory bodies, charitable trusts and any other relevant agencies/organisations and delivering charged services.

• Forming collaborative partnerships with organisations and agencies from all sectors that can be developed into services and business ventures

• Line managing key staff and ensuring that effective line managing processes are in place for other staff and volunteers. The postholder will directly line manage approximately xxx staff.

• Holding monthly staff meetings where everyone is heard and respected

• Ensuring all employees receive appropriate line management, where issues and problems

  that arise are handled with sensitivity and a high priority is given to staff development.

• Overseeing the recruitment and induction of new staff in accordance with the SPCA’s Equal Opportunities.

• Ensuring arrangements are in place for the systematic collection and review of employees opinions and the opinions of service users and potential users

• Ensuring effective systems are in place for monitoring and evaluating project performance.

• Attending meetings of the Board of Trustees as appropriate.
