About the role:

Can you spot a story from a thousand yards? Do you understand how journalists work? if so, then this is the ideal opportunity. You will work with our communications team and our global programmes teams to drive MAG’s media relations and secure high value coverage of our vital work. You will assist with a wide range of communications with a focus on proactive media engagement and external communications. About you:

You will be proactive and curious, with communications experience in the humanitarian or development sector. You will have experience developing and implementing media relations strategies, and the organisational skills to manage competing priorities and independently problem-solve. You will be a good networker with the ability to establish good working relationships and to spot and pitch stories. You will be creative, with impeccable writing ability and the capacity to draft copy for a range of audiences and platforms including press releases, op-eds, and social media content. You will have experience analysing and growing online audiences and the capacity to communicate complex information in simple yet accurate ways.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Regional Legacy Giving Manager on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract lasting for 12 months.

As our Regional Legacy Giving Manager for the South, you’ll be responsible for managing and motivating a high performing team of Legacy Giving Officers and Legacy Partnership Officers.

You’ll be tasked with managing team development, setting and monitoring KPIs, overseeing the delivery of a variety of supporter led activities and will have the opportunity to lead on strategic relationships and project management. 

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in generating essential funds that drive our mission forward, supporting those living with dementia, funding ground-breaking research, and campaigning for change. About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of managing events, ideally in a charity fundraising environment. You’ll have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, with the ability to manage and motivate your team to do the same. Crucially, you’ll also be able to analyse data and information to make objective decisions.

This is a home-based role based but ideally you would live in the South of England or Wales. You must be able to travel and have the flexibility to meet key stakeholders and attend events as well as internal meetings at our flagship offices.

What you’ll focus on:

- Direct line management of regionally based Legacy Giving Officers (LGOs) and Legacy Partnership Officers (LPOs) and leading them in co-ordinating the delivery of legacy events and stewardship activities, alongside developing our Will offers and engagement with legal firms.
- Meeting agreed annual targets for both legacy gifts and Will offer metrics across five regions.
- Developing and delivering the stewardship plan ensuring ongoing engagement with supporters who are interested in leaving a charitable gift in their will by upgrading and converting through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger.
- Providing statistical and narrative reports on Team South’s legacy activity each month and as otherwise required.
- Delivering appropriate legacy fundraising awareness training to staff where this upskilling will lead to supporter referrals for the legacy pipeline.

You will play a pivotal role supporting the Charity in several different ways. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison based. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead on identifying, writing, and submitting high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with strategic priorities
• Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and prioritised, maintaining regular communication with delivery leads to shape project bids that reflect current and emerging needs
• Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone
• Act as a passionate advocate for the Youth Zone, representing the charity at networking events, funder meetings, and promotional visits, and supporting the wider fundraising team on campaigns and events when needed.

About You

You will have experience of:

• Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources
• Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
• Collaborating across teams, particularly with delivery, finance, or impact colleagues, to gather information and develop compelling bids grounded in real-world delivery
• Producing high-quality donor reports, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations through clear narrative, data, and case studies

About the Organisation

This is a brand-new locally run youth charity, set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe. With community centric values and located in the heart of Grimsby, it will be an inspiring place for young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, to enjoy their leisure. The building is due to be completed in 2025.

Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker – £34,127 per annum

Join SPEAR and help end homelessness across Richmond and Wandsworth. As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.

What you’ll do

• Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.
• Build trusting relationships with people who are rough sleeping and help them move quickly into safe accommodation.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, including assessments, personalised action plans and follow-on help to sustain tenancies.

-Work closely with partner agencies to connect clients to health, housing, and other specialist services.
-Keep accurate case notes and share information securely using CHAIN and InForm systems.

About you
You bring experience of working with vulnerable adults, ideally in homelessness or a related field, and you’re confident working late-night shifts. You can build rapport quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work well with partner agencies. Above all, you believe that homelessness should be rare, brief and non-recurring.
