The Role:

As our Fundraiser, you will develop and lead our community fundraising strategy, aiming to raise £100,000. You’ll manage individual giving, lead events, engage with local businesses, and inspire community support. Your efforts will help us continue our vital work in Bedford.

Individual Giving : To manage individual giving to increase regular donors and one off donations, stewarding existing donors to uplift average gifts.

Events : Working with the volunteer officer to lead on events to ensure income and exposure for SMART.

Corporates : To establish relationships with companies locally and nationally to increase income.

Community : To work with local organisations, delivering talks and inspiring gifts and donations, monetary or goods in kind. Stewarding friends of SMART groups.

Digital : To manage all aspects of online fundraising, across our website, CRM and social media platforms.

Appeals : To manage our annual winter appeal, creating new opportunities for support.

Marketing : To work with the Business Team to create inspiring campaigns and marketing materials.

Reporting : To create meaningful reports to help further support and donations.

Essential Criteria :

• A minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant fundraising, marketing, media, event management or business qualification. OR A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a fundraiser in the charitable sector.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to carry out projects through to completion and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage people at all levels.
• Demonstrable experience of building and maintain relationships to support fundraising.
• Demonstrated ability to gain sponsorship deals.
• Demonstrated experience in volunteer recruitment and management.
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing homeless/rough sleeping individuals.
• Demonstrable ability to meet financial targets.
• Strong administration skills.
• An understanding of HR processes with regard to volunteers (including recruitment).
• Good organisational and project management skills.
• Good working knowledge of a range of computer software packages. including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM tools.
• Ability to manage time effectively & multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
• Demonstrate an empathic and adaptable approach to individuals with complex needs.

They are looking for a Partnerships Manager for 13 months to work directly with their Boards of extremely passionate C-suite executives to secure high value partnerships and deliver a wide range of projects. Responsibilities:

The role of a Partnerships Manager is wide ranging. Working with the board, the individual will personally manage a portfolio of relationships with key senior level supporters and their contacts, whilst also being responsible for identifying and securing new fundraising partnerships. You will be required to work collaboratively across different teams and divisions across the charity to win new partnerships and maintain success.

To be considered for this role you will ideally be:

• An excellent relationship manager, who can communicate effectively with senior level stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Proactive, with great attention to detail whilst being able to deal with competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• An individual who is an excellent relationship manager, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and their associates to deliver the highest possible supporter journey and experience.
• Knowledge of high society, luxury brands, art, fashion and finance sectors is desirable to succeed in this exciting and challenging role.

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Kent and Sussex region.

You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the Kent and Sussex region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.

· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.

· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, following fundraising legislation and good practice.

· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.

· Support the Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) and Head of Regional Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Community Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.

· Support and extend volunteer networks within the geographical area in line with strategy.

· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed locally to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across the geographical area.

· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload cost-effectively and proactively.

Supporter Management

· Provide excellent customer service to community fundraising supporters (including maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.

· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.

· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.

· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.

· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, provide high-quality account management to corporate supporters within the specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.

Increasing Community Support within geographical area

· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within the geographical area, in line with strategy.

· Run volunteer events with both a recruitment and cultivation function, liaising closely with the Stewardship and Events team to ensure a seamless supporter journey, and with the Press team to include media volunteers.

· Manage the recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in the geographical area, providing relevant support and training.

· Liaise with local community organisations (e.g., golf clubs, educational institutions etc.) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with the strategy.

· Initiate and roll out community fundraising events in the geographical area with evidence of effective ROI and achievement of strategic goals.

· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.

· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community (for example, for cheque collections and talks), spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.

· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with CFM.

· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with CFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with both community and corporate strategies.

· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.

Monitoring and Reporting

· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Community Fundraising Manager.

· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.

What we are looking for:

· Experience in partnership fundraising and/or relationship-building.

· Experience in public speaking, such as giving presentations and talking at events.

· Knowledge of recruiting key volunteers and fundraising supporters.

· Experience and a keen interest in building long-term relationships with supporters.

· Proven ability to provide excellent stewardship.

· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Full driver’s license with access to own vehicle. 

· Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and willingness to travel independently.

· Live within Kent and Sussex region.

Ways of working: As part of our Remote ways of working you will be home based. You will only need to attend the office for specific requirements of the role and the business needs.

Roles that are classed as part of the Remote ways of working are able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

The Bike Project is looking for a new Fundraising Executive to join our team. Alongside this the role will manage the relationships and support given to our Community Fundraisers and our participants in London to Brighton and Ride 100 events.

The Role

The Liturgy and Music Co-ordinator role has a variety of responsibilities including, amongst other things:

“Bogs and Bitterns": Somerset Wetland Restoration is one of twenty schemes being funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund.

As Project Ecologist you will be at the forefront of delivering, working with landowners and communities to undertake the survey and monitoring work across Local Wildlife Sites (LWS) in Somerset.

This project is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency. “Bogs and Bitterns: Somerset Wetland restoration is one of twenty schemes being funded across the country. Within our project area we aim to deliver 50 hectares of wetland habitat, restoring and expanding to improve and create quality ‘stepping stone’ sites of high quality biodiversity and to enable species abundance across the wider county.

As Project Ecologist you will be at the forefront of delivering, working with landowners and communities to undertake the survey and monitoring work across these sites. Year one of the project will be focused on targeted ecological surveys and engagement with year two focused on completing surveys and delivering small-scale capital works. The outcome of the project is to better understand the condition of our Local Wildlife sites and to have delivered targeted individual small-scale actions.

Responsibility 1: Develop and Oversee Relationships

Share knowledge and expertise by:

• Taking responsibility for a range of ecological and habitat consultancy and advisory projects.
• Being responsible for corresponding with landowners and communities to access survey sites.
• Carrying out preliminary appraisals.
• Undertaking LWS habitat survey work and producing high quality technical reports within the project area whilst liaising with the SERC LWS Ecologist on this delivery.
• Undertaking and coordinating with volunteers and the wilder project team including Reserves and Nature Recovery Team species survey monitoring and evaluating work across the project area.
• Undertaking a wide range of complex, technical and professional tasks in differing situations, with a degree of personal responsibility and autonomy. It is important to be able to work both alone and as a member of the team.
• Adopting environmentally friendly working practices, setting, and maintaining high personal standards of efficiency and customer care and fostering a ‘can do’ culture based on ownership, initiative, teamwork, and exchange of information.  All staff are ambassadors for the organisation both internally and externally and are expected to always act in a professional manner. They are required to abide by organisational rules, policies and procedures as laid down in the staff handbook.

Responsibility 2: Data Collection and Records

Be responsible by:

• Supporting the ongoing LWS Programme in Somerset, following LWS protocols.
• Capturing and recording LWS habitat/species and condition data and aid in the inputting of this data, supporting updating of LWS records and feeding into the SERC database.

Responsibility 3: Project Fund Management

Support and be accountable by:

• Identifying, coordinating and delivering small scale capital funding and actions across LWS and PCNR network, whilst managing project budgets.
• Working with the communications team where applicable to promote and highlight the project achievements.

General

Role Summary

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway

The Fundraising and Business Development Team Administrator will form part of a five-strong team led by our Head of Fundraising and Business Development. The role is perfect for someone who would like to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people and who would appreciate the opportunity to play a big role in a small, friendly and ambitious team.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and proactive person who will play a key role in supporting the team with sight and activity across all fundraising areas and this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps into fundraising. Above all, we are looking for someone with drive and initiative - a natural problem solver who is always looking to improve upon current processes.

Responsibilities:

As part of a small team, you will need to take responsibility for identifying where your support is most needed through busy times, juggling different priorities to work effectively and efficiently, often under your own steam.
Key responsibilities are:
Corporate Fundraising

• Support corporate fundraising by completing due diligences on potential partners (you will be trained how to do this), organising corporate visits, volunteering days, supporting corporate fundraising events, keeping corporate partners up to date with our news etc and organising meetings.

Trusts and Foundations

• Support trusts and foundations fundraising by supporting on funder research (again you will be fully trained how to do this) and contributing to a constant pipeline of potential funders for the team to approach.
• Helping to manage the schedule for, and possibly writing and/or submitting basic proposals to trusts and foundations.

Events

•  Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.
•  Helping to develop, organise and deliver events.

Individual Giving

• Supporting our Individual Giving programme from an administrative point of view, including sending out pre-written emails to our supporters etc and ensuring first-class stewardship.
• Using our fundraising platform Enthuse to produce reports to support the team (and finance) with relevant information and insights.
• To ensure all donations are processed and on the fundraising tracker correctly, supporter records are kept up to date and supporters are thanked in a timely manner.

General

• To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, and post.
• Supporting other activities in the fundraising team when needed, sending out materials to fundraisers and supporting logistics, diary management and support the organisation and delivery of meetings and events when needed.
• Attend meetings and take concise and accurate minutes.
• Support the Head of Fundraising and Business Development to produce trackers and spreadsheets which help to measure the team’s performance and results. This includes ensuring income is allocated correct from third party platforms and working closely with the Finance Team to ensure that we can report fundraising results and forecast accurately and in a timely way.
• Support with stock control and ordering for our material assistance project, LifeSupply which also forms part of the department.
• Support all income generation activity with the collation of information from other departments, external organisations or though research.
• Other general fundraising and administration duties, as and when required to ensure the smooth running of the department including assisting in other team projects when they arise. 
• Undertake other tasks and duties as may be reasonable which will contribute to the overall success of the Fundraising and Business Development team or the charity’s business objectives.

This role will report to the CEO and work closely with the Senior Management Team and others to support us to develop and deliver our ambitious ‘people and nature’ programmes by identifying and securing the necessary funds to achieve our vision. 

Who we are: Bore Place is situated on a 500-acre organic farm estate in West Kent. Our mission is to enhance the planet in all that we do, to inspire people to live and work sustainably and lead happy and fulfilling lives. We provide a unique venue, educational programmes for young people, public activities and courses, and a site that is open to all. 

We are now at one of the most exciting stages in our development. With a new CEO in place, you will be joining the organisation at a pivotal moment as we approach our 50th birthday in 2027.

We are a small organization with a culture of ‘can do’ and everyone mucking in. We currently do not have a fundraising team but anticipate the Head of Fundraising will build such a team on the back of increased income generation. 

Your role:  In this role, the fundraiser will use expert communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to identify fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. By coordinating events, writing proposals, and recruiting and leading volunteers, the fundraiser will hone speaking, writing, and leadership abilities while moving the Commonwork Trust closer to its financial goals.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organised with a strong track record of successful fundraising. We’re looking for someone who believes in the mission of the Commonwork Trust and has exceptional drive for furthering our fundraising efforts as well as strategising and delivering on new ones. 

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

• Fundraising experience – you will have at least three years of experience at developing a fundraising strategy and understanding how different income streams operate with a strong track record in securing income 

• Demonstrable experience in securing funding – you will have experience in identifying key voluntary income streams and securing funding support from trusts and foundations, and be comfortable with ‘making the ask’ of wealthy individuals 

• Grant funding – you will have a strong track record of identifying, securing and monitoring grant funding. 

• Communication skills – you will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills 

• Leadership skills – you will have experience in leading and motivating colleagues and volunteers 

• Charity experience – you will have worked in the charitable sector, preferably with a focus on environmental issues and have an understanding of how a mission-based organisation operates and the wider sector considerations that a charity operates within 

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

• Certification, diploma, or similar qualification in fundraising would be a bonus

We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take over from Paul Roberts, who, after for seven years leading Aspire Oxfordshire is moving to a national role in another organisation. 
To achieve our social mission in these challenging times, we are looking for a leader who will work closely and collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Board of Trustees (Board). An excellent communicator and relationship builder, your leadership will shape our strategic direction, ensuring our services remain person-centred and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. You will also be a strong people leader who can navigate organisational change, nurture and develop relationships with our many stakeholders and partners, and inspire and empower our team to deliver excellence, every day.

To thrive in this role, you'll need a demonstrable track record of senior leadership in an employment development, supported housing & homelessness or directly comparable field.

Main Purpose of the Job

The CEO is responsible for providing leadership for Aspire’s continuing success and to improve its organisational resilience, working closely and collaboratively with the Board and the SLT. You will lead the strategic planning and delivery, general management and performance of Aspire, with a team of c. 60 employees and an estimated annual turnover of £2.8m, ensuring the organisation can provide effective, holistic person-centred support to people facing significant barriers or disadvantage to securing employment and independent living, including through strong partnerships with like-minded organisations.

Key tasks

Key tasks are intended to be a guide to the range and level of work expected of the job holder.  This is not an exhaustive list of all tasks and the post holder will be expected to carry out such other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.

Strategic leadership & development

• Work with the Board and Senior Leadership Team to develop then lead on the delivery of the Aspire multi-year strategy, including the ongoing co-production during 2024 of a new multi-year strategy to 2027. Horizon scan for external environmental challenges and forward plan for responsive delivery scenarios.

• Deliver the Aspire strategy effectively with a two-fold approach: empower a capable, resilient senior leadership team (C-suite) and further develop and empower senior and middle managers at Aspire; and oversee investment to enhance systems so that the team is better able to support clients and staff and responsibility can be delegated as appropriate within fit-for-purpose infrastructure.

• Lead Aspire to respond effectively to the environmental sustainability and inclusive economy agendas and to continue embedding equity, equality, diversity and inclusion approaches into its workplace.

• Develop further Aspire’s delivery role to help realise ‘system change’ upstream, of a more inclusive and sustainable economy, including through encouraging community wealth building and a more regenerative and distributive local economy model.

• Maintain regular contact with the Chair and the wider Board of Trustees to facilitate full engagement of the Board and derive maximum benefit from individual and collective Trustees’ experience and connections.

Effective people leadership

• Support leadership team and senior fundraiser colleagues to set and meet their professional development & personal objectives, aligned with Aspire’s organisational strategy, contractual requirements and commitment to flexible working and maintaining a healthy work/life balance while delivering against business need. 

Effective delivery of charitable programmes

• Forge strong, positive relationships – including through alliances and partnerships and alongside our Senior Fundraiser and Chief Programmes Officer (CPO) – with representatives from our service commissioners, statutory partners, key donors/trusts and senior stakeholders for the effective delivery of our charitable programmes, including meeting stipulated funding commitments and performance targets.

• Work with the CPO and Senior Managers to build the capacity, range and quality of Aspire’s charitable programmes provision in our strategic priority areas to help ensure we retain contracts in coming years and make the most of emerging opportunities, whilst ensuring our activities focus around our core mission. Support the CPO to strengthen our charitable project data insight, opportunity assessment, lived experience participation and management framework.

Embedding new funding streams and priority project development areas

• Identify and develop income-generating activities to strengthen the charity’s financial resilience and carry forward the business development for Aspire’s expanded housing activity, including evaluating and, if appropriate, securing Registered Provider status for Aspire. 

• Work with the Senior Fundraiser proactively to seek out continuity and expansion funding for our strategic priority charitable programmes.

Compliance

• With the Board and SLT, particularly the Chief Operating Officer (COO), ensure Aspire meets all its organisational compliance requirements with respect to existing, and new programmes.

External relationships and brand

• Leverage external relationships and brand to support our fundraising strategy, notably any matched fundraising campaign, keeping abreast of stakeholder perceptions and ensure it links to our strategic objectives.

• Protect and grow Aspire’s brand and reputation including as an innovative, enterprising, problem-solving organisation including through articulating and implementing a strategic communications plan, representing Aspire at high profile events and initiatives.
