As our Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of the centre and offices of Headway East London. You will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our community. Your work will ensure that our centre is not only a functional space but a place where people feel valued and cared for.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with an agency cleaner to perform cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule, to ensure satisfactory levels of cleanliness throughout the building.

Contribute towards retaining our 5 Star rating kitchen standards by supporting the kitchen team with post lunch cleaning.

Work flexibly to support with ad hoc cleaning around out of hours events.

Update the admin team when supplies of consumables are running low, ensuring that basic supplies are always available.

Update the Admin and Premises Manager with any observation of health and safety risks and concerns.

Assist the Admin and Premises Manager to improve and maintain our health and safety standards.

Secure the building at the end of the day.

About the role
Your key purpose will be to support the Supporter Experience Manager in the delivering an excellent supporter experience for individuals across all fundraising activities. This includes projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, supporter journeys and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Supporter Experience Manager on supporter stewardship.
The Supporter Experience Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team. They will support in maximising the potential of our fundraising data, ensuring accurate and effective fundraising finance processes, gift aid maximisation and utilising the fundraising database.

Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. KEY AREAS:
- FUNDRAISING (80% of time)
Trusts & Foundations and Prospect Research
- Lead on the development and submission of applications to smaller trusts and foundations (up to £25,000), including drafting proposals, tracking deadlines, and updating the pipeline.
- Maintain and update the pipeline of prospective donors across income streams (trusts, corporates, government, and institutions).
- Conduct desk research into comparable organisations, donor trends, and partnership opportunities.
Appeals & Campaigns
- Support the coordination of Vision Action’s seasonal and thematic fundraising appeals (e.g. World Sight Day, Christmas, Summer).
- Lead on the planning and delivery of smaller appeals, including supporter follow-up, donor profiling, and managing campaign logistics.
- Log donor information and engagement history accurately in Donorfy CRM.
- Support the development of appeal-related materials in collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Officer.
Events & Community Fundraising
- Support the planning, recruitment, and delivery of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and other sporting and challenge events.
- Provide guidance and logistical support to individuals, volunteers, schools, and community groups running their own fundraising events.
- Represent Vision Action at relevant fundraising and community events, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management
- Support the stewardship and cultivation of individual donors, sponsors, and prospects through phone, email, and written communication.

Digital Media Marketing and Engagement
- Support efforts to grow Vision Action’s digital presence by creating engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling aligned with our mission.
- Support membership relationship stewardship by developing regular updates, thank-you messages, and creative engagement campaigns to nurture and retain supporters.

- At least 3 years of experience in a fundraising, administration, or supporter-facing role
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)

- Confident written skills, with experience drafting letters, emails, or fundraising materials
- Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and confidence working across digital platforms

FTWW is looking for a full-time Volunteer and Community Coordinator! Background
The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company and specialist integrative counselling and psychotherapy training provider based in Queens Park, London. We are a leading training provider in the sector and currently have around 400 students attending training courses ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees.
Thousands of therapists have trained at the Minster Centre since our inception in 1978 and we have an extensive community. Our courses are accredited by the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and some are validated by Middlesex University. We are also registered with the Office for Students.
The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training.
Job summary
The Registry Manager supports all aspects of training and course administration from first enquiry to graduation. This includes introductory courses, professional counselling and psychotherapy qualifications, and MA programmes validated by Middlesex University. Reporting to the responsible Management Committee Lead, the Registry Manager ensures that we deliver efficient and effective services to support admissions, enrolment, university registration, assessment, progression, HESA data returns, awards, and graduation of our students.
The Registry Manager has line management responsibility for the course administrator, leads on course scheduling, managing student data, organising the Bursaries and Hardship Fund (the Minster Centre Fund), supports key committees, monitors academic progress, and ensures accurate information is presented at Assessment Boards. They will balance day-to-day student matters with supporting the team and working to improve administrative systems.
This is a varied role which is critical for the delivery of The Minster Centre’s strategic objectives and charitable aims. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and will have significant relevant experience of administration, ideally within the Higher Education or professional training sectors. - Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
- Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years.
- Oversee the recording of student progression.
- Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.
Reporting
- Co-ordinate and support the accurate information recording and preparation for Assessment Boards and liaise with the External Examiner.
- Oversee and support the various HESA data returns as the liaison Senior Contact and ensure all data is accurate and meets various submission deadlines.
- Provide accurate statistical information to the Management Committee for inclusion in annual reports.
Staff management and stakeholder liaison
- Manage the Course Administrator.
- Work with Admissions, Quality, IT, Finance, Training, and Reception Teams throughout the academic year.
- Attend regular staff meetings and work with other key staff to market courses.
- Conduct annual appraisals.
- Be a key communication link across the staff and student community.
- Work with other key staff to ensure that information is provided accurately to students, staff, and the public via handbooks, Moodle, and the Minster Centre website.
- Liaise with Middlesex University at key points in the year.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties which fall within the ambit of the role, in discussion with the Interim Management Committee.
