Location: London/Hybrid - in person working on Mondays (either head office or local network office), with flexibility of home/office for the remainder of the week

The role

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.

FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.

Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making. 

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. This requires involving and inspiring key stakeholders, managing conflicts, setting clear expectations and responsibilities and driving continuous improvements to the way we work together. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.

The role offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to develop a new strategic approach to fundraising across multiple charity partners, operating under the same brand and mission. You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. Cross-team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

1. Lead the development of a Network Fundraising Strategy, incorporating co-designed ways of working and objectives across FareShare Network Partners.

2. Lead on culture change and new ways of working to ensure network partners are consulted and considered in all new fundraising activity.

3. Manage and coordinate FareShare’s monthly forum of network fundraisers and foster a culture of best practice, collective effort, collaboration and learning.

4. Identify network-wide investment projects and support the development of joint funding bids to secure significant income for FareShare and our partners.

5. Ensure national fundraising activity gives full consideration to network fundraising and its potential to be delivered locally.

6. Investigate and take learnings from how local fundraising activity could grow and be delivered nationally.

7. Stay abreast of all Network Partner fundraising activity, financial performance and longer-term business plans.

8. Act as the main point of connection for the flow of information between Network Partners and FareShare’s national fundraising team.

9. Champion the work of the network fundraising teams in cross-department and cross-organisation forums.

10.  Track progress against strategy objectives and regularly review ways of working.  

11.  Play an active role in the leadership of FareShare’s fundraising team and the delivery of our national fundraising strategy.

 Desirable Criteria

• Demonstratable experience of working for a charity that operates under a franchise / regional network model.
• Demonstratable experience and knowledge in high-value fundraising (trusts, grants, statutory, corporate & philanthropy) and bid writing.  
• Demonstrable interest in, and understanding of, food waste and surplus redistribution.
• Experience of coordinating a network of organisations with shared objectives.

Job Description​

Delivering the Philanthropy plan​

• Work with the Senior Philanthropy Lead and Head of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy ​
• Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £15,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey​
• Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance​
• Work with our Prospect Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with trustees, staff, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters​
• Lead on philanthropy events, working with the wider team in delivering income generating, cultivation and stewardship activities ​
• Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand​
• Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising team to ensure opportunities to maximise income for the fundraising team​

Essential​

• A successful track record in high value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets​
• Experience developing relationships with high-net-worth individuals through all stages of the donor cycle​
• Experience working on successful charity events that meet fundraising targets​
• Great verbal communication skills, demonstrated by strong relationships with donors and colleagues. You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate​

They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.

We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing the bpf’s work and mission. This exciting opportunity would suit a fundraising professional with effective leadership, strategic thinking and analytical skills. Proven experience within the non-profit sector, with a broad range of fundraising skills and expertise, is essential. This role will suit someone who can roll their sleeves up and get the job done, as well as someone looking to take on a more strategic and project management role.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. There is significant scope and opportunity for the Fundraising Manager to shape bpf’s work around trusts and foundations, individual giving, challenge/community events, and corporate partnerships (all in their relative infancy at the charity and needing someone with experience and vision to broaden our reach and grow our current income).

The successful candidate will also have a track record of achieving income targets and managing successful, multi-stream fundraising campaigns. During the interview process, we would like to hear examples of the software, channels, and customer/donor relationship management tools (CRMs) you have used to build and manage fundraising campaigns.

Working alongside the Director of Academic and Strategic Development, the successful candidate will need to be a good team player, flexible, hardworking and prepared to play an enthusiastic role in helping the organisation increase its fundraising income.

This role will lead the development and successful rollout of Aurora Nexus Fundraising and Engagement strategy, annual plans, generation income and key project work which aim to deliver significant net income growth and increase awareness by maximising local and regional support.

This is a new post within the charity created in response to an emerging need to diversify our income streams. We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to deliver grant bid writing and to take the lead on the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives to maximise and increase income.

The successful post-holder will join and be an integral part of the Management team.

This post will support Aurora Nexus with its grant fundraising activity as an essential income stream for the charity, including managing and monitoring the bidding process to maximise the success rate of applications. The post holder will also monitor and undertake all reporting on funding to others both within and outside the organisation.

Founded in 2007, KHULA Education is an award-winning South African NGO working in partnership with rural schools and underserved communities in deep rural South Africa to ensure children and youth can access a quality education and economic opportunity.

Over the past 17 years, KHULA has transformed schools that were previously failing into schools that compete at the national level; supported hundreds of young people to access tertiary education opportunities; and helped hundreds more on the path to employment. About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Officer.

As our reach and impact has increased significantly in recent years, so has our income, and this new role has been created in response to that demand.  This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to widen, or consolidate, their knowledge and experience of fundraising, in an international context, as well as gain communications experience.

We are a very small team so the role will cover a breadth of funding streams, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, High Value Donors, and Events, both special and community.  It is therefore important that you have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, and solid experience of crafting successful funding applications.  You will also need excellent planning and organisational skills.

The role can, to some extent, be shaped by the skills and experience of the successful candidate, but it is likely to include the following responsibilities.

 Key Responsibilities

• Steward, retain and grow the support of our existing donor portfolio: KHULA has an existing portfolio of donors including trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors, individual and regular givers, the majority of whom are based in the UK or South Africa. Alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, the post holder will be responsible for managing these relationships, including bespoke reporting for trusts and major donors and taking responsibility for their own portfolio of donors.
• Donor prospecting and new business: researching and generating new donor leads as well as acting on opportunities provided by our Board and others, converting prospects into supporters of our programmes.
• ​​External communications: working alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications, assisting in the creation of our quarterly e-newsletter and the Annual Report, managing our social media channels, in addition to other ad hoc external communications.
• Events: supporting our community and events fundraisers and assisting with the organisation of occasional special events, alongside Board members.
• Fundraising innovation: assisting in the development of creative campaigns to increase donations/recruit lapsed donors, developing products and offerings.
• Financial management and admin: maintaining our donor database and contributing to fundraising budgets and forecasts. 

Person Specification

Experience of working in a smaller charity and team is beneficial as this is a very hands-on role, covering a wide range of responsibilities.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who demonstrate most/all of the following attributes:

• A proven, demonstrable track record of submitting successful funding applications.
• Experience in successfully fundraising from one or more of trusts, foundations, high value donors and corporates.
• Experience of community and events fundraising, including promoting events and supporting participants.
• Excellent communication writing skills.
• Personal or professional experience of a range of social media channels.
• Good IT Skills (Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, CRM systems (we use Donorfy))
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with a largely virtual team

Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:

1. Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
2. Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.

Duties include:

• Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
• Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
• Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
• Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance 
• Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
• Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
• Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
• Attend team meetings at least twice a year
• Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
• Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.
• Other related duties as required.

Key Requirements

Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.

The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.
