Purpose of the Role
Faith underpins all our work and, in this key role the post holder will support the Christian journey by providing resources for personal prayer, spiritual guidance, corporate worship, religious education, and contribute to and participate in member and central charity led events and worship.
This role will explore and research issues about the Christian faith that are relevant to Mothers’ Union, keep the rest of the Charity up to date on issues in the Anglican communion and wider church – and input into the design of MU strategic aims, and work collaboratively with organisations externally on developing resources and implementing faith-based initiatives.
This role will also be responsible for managing Mothers’ Union’s Church-based membership and our Faith and Diocesan Chaplains member-based forums.
However, the focus for this role will be the proactive outreach, development, and maintenance of faith related relationships primarily in Britain and Ireland. This includes creating and managing high-level networks of Christian influencers, Bishops and the wider clergy, and key faith-based organisations to improve the profile, understanding and integration of Mothers' Union within the Anglican communion and ecumenically and to grow our reach, membership numbers, and influence.
A key remit of the Faith & Church Engagement Manager post will be to participate and contribute to our faith-based discussions and resources within Mothers’ Union. For this reason, the post holder must be a practicing Christian. (Occupational requirement Equality Act 2010).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Faith management and resources
1. To lead on the development of faith resources within Mothers’ Union (MU) and lead the strategic planning of all faith initiatives, theological rationales for Mothers’ Union specific initiatives and the overall mission.
2. To ensure that MU employees understand as part of the induction process and throughout their employment, how faith guides the work and relationships of MU.
3. Working with the Director of Membership, contribute to the strategic plan for all faith initiatives and clergy and church relations within Mothers’ Union.
4. To lead MU’s faith-based forums, to work where needed with the Worldwide Board and our Central Chaplain.
5. To facilitate theological underpinning to inform our work by exploring, researching, and gathering relevant data from various sources to keep abreast of new developments and initiatives.
6. To generate faith and church-based content for our website, magazine and newsletters and deliver MU’s prayer diary and oversea Midday Prayers.
7. To work with Mothers’ Union Enterprises on resources and products that have a faith dimension or spiritual content.
8. To work with our Worldwide President or designated member of the Worldwide Board to deliver faith and worship materials for Board and Worldwide Council meetings.
9. To receive, monitor and review MU’s worldwide resources to encourage and develop the contribution these make to the distinctive faith work of Mothers’ Union.
10. To maintain and develop all Faith Resources, identifying and developing new and uniquely MU resources to be added and archiving when required dated resources.
Membership Support – Britain and Ireland
1. To produce creative and accessible prayer and worship resources for use within our membership and more widely.
2. To identify the needs of members at every level for up-to-date information and resources on theology, faith, spirituality, worship/liturgy, Christian ethics and pastoral issues for group or individual use, and to commission a range of resources to meet those needs.
3. To build and manage external partnerships, within the Church and with other faith centred organisations, developing and promoting our work with these organisations.
4. Working closely with the Director of Membership and wider Membership team, to plan and lead faith aspects at conferences and meetings as requested.
5. To help design and implement projects and campaigns that provide an active engagement for our members, raise the public profile of Mothers’ Union, contribute to membership growth strategies and further the mission to promote the Christian faith and the wellbeing of families.
6. Work with the wider membership team on the design, implementation, and delivery of new membership growth models and manage existing membership models including Church-based Membership.
General
- To produce and provide reports and resources as required for the Chief Executive and Board.
- To promote the Christian faith and prioritise the wellbeing of families with members, the clergy, external partners, wider faith organisations, and the Anglican church.
- To further the promotion and integration of Mothers’ Union work with the clergy and within the Anglican Church and facilitate policy and advocacy support for MU campaigns.
- To undertake any other duties as requested by the Director of Membership.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Experience/skills
1. Experience of writing accessible worship material and of being open to different worship styles.
2. Ability to produce theologically credible, accessible, valued, and impactful resources and documents.
3. Experience of engaging, developing and nurturing faith relationships at all levels, from members to boards, to very senior clergy.
4. Good word-processing skills- proficient at using MS Office in particular Word, Outlook, meeting platforms including Zoom and Teams and proactive social media management.
5. Research skills: Ability to collate, analyse, synthesise research data, ability to gather, manage and use a large quantity of information, research and reports effectively,

Work Location
This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (Pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in Central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays.

We are seeking a dynamic Healthcare Partnerships Lead, to drive forward our Healthcare Engagement Strategy, ensuring that more people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle in managing MS symptoms and progression. You will lead the development and delivery of initiatives that align with our strategic vision—ensuring that everyone affected by MS knows that hope and possibility exist beyond diagnosis.
Healthcare professionals play a pivotal role in the lives of people with MS. As the first point of contact, they are the primary source of trusted information and support. Given the lifelong nature of MS, these relationships can span decades, making it essential that we engage meaningfully with the healthcare community. By fostering strong partnerships, we can ensure that more professionals are equipped to share evidence-based lifestyle interventions and offer hope from the very beginning.
Why this role matters
Since 2012, Overcoming MS has been at the forefront of promoting an evidence-based approach to the self-management of MS using healthy lifestyle choices alongside medication. Although there is no cure for MS, we help people with MS to live well by making informed lifestyle choices.
Over the past 18 months, we have laid a strong foundation for this work:
· Identifying key barriers to supported self-management in MS.
· Co-developing educational resources to support healthcare professionals
· Piloting projects with healthcare professionals.
· Refining and presenting data to demonstrate the value of our approach.
Now, we are ready to build on that momentum—and we need you to take it further.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the successful delivery of the Healthcare Engagement strategy, identifying and promoting engagement with our key audiences and stakeholders, in accordance with the NHS 10-year plan.
· Raise awareness with healthcare professionals of the importance of healthy lifestyle in managing MS symptoms and disease progression, resulting in expanded access to supported self-management for people with MS.
· Lead the development and delivery of strategic projects that engage healthcare professionals.
· Raise the profile and credibility of Overcoming MS, our information, events and courses, positioning us as the go-to charity for lifestyle and living well with MS.
· Increase the impact of our HCP education module, through our existing partnership with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, marketing the education widely, evaluating its benefit to HCPs and strategically reviewing the format, vehicle and content as appropriate.
· Work closely with our internal Evidence Gathering Group, our Medical Advisor, and Information and Research Manager to facilitate the development of the relationship, profile and reach between the charity and the health and social care sectors.
· Develop a wide network of key healthcare professionals to inform our strategy, provide expertise, expert review of materials, and content (podcasts, webinars, blogs)
· Co-produce posters, abstracts and academic articles to present at key conferences.
· Identify and attend key healthcare events and conferences, building networks, partnerships and other resources to increase knowledge and awareness.
Other responsibilities
· Create meaningful engagement with the MS community and healthcare professional partners, widening our reach to support more people with MS.
· Empower people affected by MS and their healthcare professionals to discuss lifestyle modification and the Overcoming MS Program with confidence, improving self-management and health outcomes.
· Identify opportunities for accessing funding streams, working with Fundraising colleagues to diversify our income base.
· Raise our profile within the healthcare environment so that they recommend the charity and will advocate on our behalf.
· As we are a small, busy charity, all staff help with the general running of the organisation in addition to their specific role activities.
What you will bring
· Proven experience in healthcare partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
·Strong understanding of the challenges facing people living with a lifelong condition such as MS, including the emotional, physical, and social impacts along with a strong understanding of the NHS, Public Health and the UK health care policy landscape.
· A proactive, independent professionalism with the ability to problem solve.

About the role
The Legacy Case Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the award winning Legacy Case Management team to deliver our transformational legacy income of £15 million each year. Legacies are Christian Aid's largest single source of voluntary income and are one of our key fundraising priorities. As we look ahead to an exciting period of growth across the legacy sector, the role of the Legacy Case Management team has never been more important.
About you
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. A good communicator, you will be at ease liaising with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team. You will be proactive, working with initiative and prioritising your workload to meet monthly deadlines. This dual role is split approximately 40% fundraising and 60% project leadership and partnership development. You will play a key role in securing new income streams through successful funding applications to trusts, foundations, and public-sector bodies, while also overseeing the delivery of inclusive, community-based projects and representing ECP on key strategic forums and partnership steering groups.

Job Summary
The Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, a newly established role within the Income Department, will be responsible for delivering our expanding portfolio of Corporate Partnerships while actively seeking out and securing new partnership opportunities.
MHI is at a pivotal point in its development, having experienced significant growth since launching in 2017. Over the past 18 months, a primary focus has been on cultivating strategic partnerships that not only support fundraising efforts but also align with broader organisational goals such as volunteering, volunteer recruitment, stewardship, and enhancing brand recognition.
Having secured three large longer term partnerships, we are now seeking a creative, passionate and knowledgeable Corporate Partnership specialist to lead on launching, relationship management, stewardship and growth and ensure all opportunities are maximised.
Working closely with the Director of Income, Head of Communications and Marketing and Senior Trust and Foundation Manager. You will work across income streams (major donors, trusts and foundations and commissioned partners) to spot opportunities for enhancing existing or developing new long-term, strategic corporate partnerships. - Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with a primary focus of gifts of £100,000+
- Build excellent collaborative relationships with internal colleagues to collate information for funding proposals, impact reporting and stewardship opportunities.

- Maximise the use of SAS engagement opportunities (Parliamentary events, volunteer conferences, beach cleans, etc.) to cultivate prospects and steward donors to an exceptional standard

Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work with, and communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals from internal colleagues, institutional leaders and external collaborators, stakeholders and donors.
An ability to assimilate complex information and translate this into compelling funding bids and impact reporting through excellent written communication skills.
A working knowledge of major gift, corporate & trust & foundation fundraising, including identification, research, solicitation and stewardship.

We’re looking for an experienced and creative fundraiser to lead our individual giving and supporter engagement programmes, grow our supporter base, and champion innovation in public engagement and income generation. You’ll be rallying resources which will ultimately help us grow our impact for wild orangutans and the people living alongside them.
The Role
As Head of Individual Giving & Supporter Engagement, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of SOS’s public fundraising portfolio – inspiring individuals around the world to take action and give generously for the future of Sumatra’s rainforests and wildlife.
You’ll be responsible for individual giving, digital acquisition and retention, legacies, appeals and campaigns, and supporter events. You’ll be given the freedom to innovate, identifying and developing new income streams and engagement products and approaches that help us reach and inspire new audiences.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with strong acquisition experience, who can help us grow and diversify our supporter base.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll work closely with communications, partnerships, and programmes colleagues to build an engaged community of supporters and advocates for SOS.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy

Lead the development and delivery of SOS’s public fundraising strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and income targets.

Set and manage income and expenditure budgets for all individual giving fundraising streams, ensuring healthy ROI and sustainability.

Set clear targets and KPIs, with robust financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring.

Foster innovation across public fundraising, developing and testing new products and propositions.

Promote a culture of data and insight-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and connecting our supporters to the impact they enable.

Adhere to the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practise and Data Protection legislation and ensure the SOS Donor Promise and Fundraising Values are alive and visible in all fundraising activity.
Individual Giving & Donor Development

Oversee acquisition, retention, and uplift strategies for individual donors, ensuring a seamless and inspiring supporter journey.

Design and manage a calendar of appeals and campaigns, including the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

Work closely with Communications & Marketing colleagues to deliver compelling creative content and integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels.
Digital Fundraising

Lead on digital acquisition strategy and performance, testing and optimising paid and organic campaigns to grow SOS’s online giving and supporter base.

Manage and optimise digital giving platforms, donor journeys, and analytics to improve conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
Legacies & Events

Develop and implement SOS’s legacy marketing strategy, raising awareness and nurturing pledgers and enquirers with care and authenticity.

Manage fundraising events (such as our Buffoonery comedy night) and oversee community fundraising initiatives, optimising engagement and lifetime value.
Collaboration & Management

Line manage the Development Assistant, ensuring that our supporters receive outstanding stewardship.

Work closely with colleagues across Development, Communications, and Programmes to ensure a joined-up approach to engagement, conversion, and storytelling.

Keep up to date with sector trends, digital innovations, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice in all fundraising activity.
About You
You’re a strategic and practical fundraiser who knows how to inspire public giving. You combine creativity with an analytical approach, and you’re motivated by purpose and impact. You’ll flourish in a small, committed team where innovation and collaboration are key.
Essential:

Significant experience in individual giving and/or digital fundraising, including both strategy development and delivery.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding income targets across multiple channels.

Familiarity with CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms.

Strong understanding of digital acquisition and retention techniques, data-driven fundraising, and supporter journeys.

Experience managing appeals and campaigns, ideally including match-funded initiatives (e.g. the Big Give).

Excellent copywriting, creative and analytical skills, with an eye for compelling storytelling.

Experience in budget management and performance reporting.
