Keswick Town Council, acting as Fitz Park Trust, has recently announced plans to launch a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a brand-new, inclusive play area in Fitz Park, Keswick. The new play area will offer a modern, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities to engage in physical activity, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration.

Role Overview:
As a Fundraiser, you will play a key role in driving the success of our fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising campaigns, engaging with existing and potential donors, and ensuring we meet our financial targets for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:

The Community Development & Health Programme Manager is responsible for the ongoing strategic development of the programme area, as well as maintaining oversight of the contracted delivery across its broad but integrated remit. Summary of the role
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the role will support the implementation of our 2030 Fundraising Strategy in collaboration with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications and Delivery Teams. Main purpose of job

The Role Responsibilities

Corporate and Community Partnerships:
Work with the Corporate and Community Fundraisers to:

·Engage community leaders and influencers to increase visibility and support for ADSS’s fundraising efforts.

Donor Database Management:
·Maintain and update our donor database, ensuring accurate records of donations, communications, and engagement history.

JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised operations professional to play a key role in strengthening the systems, processes and projects that will underpin our 10-year ambition. The Fundraising Operations Officer will help drive improvements in how the Fundraising team manages data, reporting and income tracking. The role supports the smooth running of Fundraising operations by improving and maintaining systems, processes and administrative functions, ensuring the global team runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a newly established role that will offer hands-on experience in project coordination, risk escalation and CRM management, and will support you to develop technical and strategic skills in an international fundraising environment. KEY OBJECTIVES
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day Fundraising operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. GDPR and IATI, across all relevant jurisdictions
- When needed, coordinate process improvement initiatives that support Fundraising delivery and create efficiencies, ensuring they work alongside those already used within Lumos
- Manage back-office functions for recruitment, inductions of new starters in the Fundraising team, and management of contractors and other suppliers as appropriate
- Provide operational support for events, including managing guest lists, monitoring expenditure, helping with venue logistics and on-the-day activities
- Help maintain and improve internal systems and team documentation (e.g., on SharePoint)
- Support the drafting of Fundraising policies, procedures and systems used by the organisation
- Maintain records of Gift Aid declarations and support the quarterly claims process
Salesforce Administration
- Act as our day-to-day administrator for our Salesforce database
- Manage the process of recording and reporting on information from Salesforce, maintaining accurate donor and income data, and ensuring up-to-date and consistent record keeping
- Take the lead on running selections and reports to support fundraising activity
- As needed, provide basic training and guidance about Salesforce for the team
- Work with the Finance team to reconcile donations recorded on Salesforce with their records
Information Management
- Support the Director of Fundraising with financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to inform key strategic decisions.
- Deliver accurate and timely income and activity reporting to key stakeholders, including the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Fundraising Committee and to share with external agencies such as the Fundraising Regulator.
- Maintain the risk register, ensuring it reflects activity and can be used as a tool by the Director of Fundraising and Chief Executive
Fundraising Support
- Provide administrative and coordination support for fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
- Assist with donor stewardship, including thank-you letters and donor communications
- Respond to enquiries via the Fundraising inbox, social media or post
- Support scheduling and coordination of Fundraising meetings and cross-team projects
- Collaborate across the organisation to ensure fundraising needs are integrated and aligned

Palliative care for children aged 0-18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham, Worcester, and Walsall, as well as in family homes or elsewhere in the community. Overview of the role

Fundraising activities
Individual Giving
· Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships
· Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship
· Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at a lower to mid level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys
Fundraising Appeals
· Manage Glass Door’s direct marketing appeals including our flagship annual Christmas appeal – taking the lead on the direct mail and email campaign
· Lead on content development, and implementation of donor segmentation based on giving history, preferences, and engagement levels
· Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver a robust communication plan – actively taking part in the case studies, content creation and digital campaign plans (social media and website)
· Create and implement a follow-up communication plan to thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions
· Undertake evaluations of each appeal’s performance metrics and donor responses to refine future appeals
Fundraising support
· Monitor the Fundraising inbox and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries from individual donors or prospects

The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO and joining the SMT.
You would be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering income generation strategy.
As the sole dedicated income generation specialist, you will take a hands-on approach to all aspects of fundraising and business development, identifying opportunities, building partnerships, securing funding, and maximising income from a diverse range of sources.
The fundraising income is currently c£300,000 per year and they have ambition to grow this to £500,000 over the next three years to ensure that they can continue to be there for older people when they are in need.
You would lead and manage the acquisition of potential donors, cultivate relationships, solicit donations, and engage in ongoing stewardship activities to retain and grow support.
The Candidate
We are looking for a proactive and hands on fundraiser, happy to be a sole fundraiser within a wider supportive team.
Someone with a proven track record of securing significant income from at least three of the following individual giving (including High Net Worth and regular giving), trusts/foundations, corporates, community, and/or legacy support.
We would like you to have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies and plans.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will manage a high-performing team of four staff: Database & Donor Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager. Community & Events Officer and the International Development Manager. Your key priority is to raise the income required as per the agreed annual income budgets for the organisation, managing all relevant income streams that include Trusts & Foundations, Events & Community, Corporate, Statutory, International and Individual Giving. You do not need to demsontrate an expertise in all of these streams. You are also responsible for ensuring that all communications messaging is strengthening our brand and engaging our supporters.
Finally, you are an active member participating in the Senior Management Team contributing insights and strategies that align with the charity’s development goals. By engaging in this leadership role, the Head of Fundraising and Communications role will help to drive the charity's mission forward, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.

This is a varied role and the successful applicant will drive our community and events fundraising. You will organise the Tour de Vale Bike Ride plus other fundraising events at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, source runners for a range of third-party events including the Great North Run and help them reach their fundraising targets, identify and develop opportunities for community groups and local companies to support the charity and lead and manage our schools fundraising programme.
