The Capital Project Manager will be responsible for leading a £4-5M project that will build a new Cattery facility at our Battersea Old Windsor site. The role will oversee all aspects of the project to ensure the capital project is completed on time, within budget and to the required standards and design. This will include working with colleagues in Animal Care, Infrastructure and Income Generation teams to ensure the project has appropriate funding, the design and build of the cattery meets Battersea’s strategic and operational requirements and that the operational impact of the construction is effectively managed to minimise the impact to dogs and cats across our centres during the works.

We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.

Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. They will also support the strategic development of the Crafts Council’s programme, managing relationships with external commercial partners, artists and institutions, overseeing project budgets and timelines and contributing to reporting and evaluation frameworks.

This is a dynamic and hands-on role which involves working across the organisation and beyond to deliver and communicate best practice in exhibition production and collection management.

About You

• You will bring adept production and organisational skills to this role
• You will be confident leading the planning and delivery of exhibitions and collection projects working in collaboration with artists, partners, contractors and venues

Main Duties

In collaboration with the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, you will:

• Oversee planning and arrangements for installation and de-installation of exhibitions including Brookfield Properties Craft Award summer exhibitions
• Maintain exhibition and collection project budgets, timelines and documentation to a high standard
• Lead dynamic teams of casual assistants, freelance technicians, designers, conservators and photographers as required
• Facilitate accessibility of the Crafts Council Collections including Primary, Handling, Archive, Oral Histories and Library. Leading on both online accessibility via Collections Online and ensuring the collection is available to its audiences physically
• Ensure maximum impact from National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Craft for the People' Is achieved, ensuring crafts council collection is available to a wider amount of people and is more resilient
• Oversee management of upcoming loans, arranging object transportation, entry and exit processes, loan agreements, mounting and conservation, where needed
• Lead on loans marketing and collections income generation projects
• Oversee collection management projects, including acquisitions, auditing, condition checking, improving packing, image and copyright licensing, object photography, location and movement control. Recording Information on Crafts Council's CMS Museum Index +
• Review and improve collections storage processes, embed collections trust benchmarks in security, building management system for temperature and humidity control, pest and disaster management
• Contribute to implementing cost-effective and environmentally sustainable working practices for exhibitions and collection maintenance
• Ensuring that we are recording the impact of our programming by recording data and KPI's. Integrating our customer relationship management system Salesforce.

Job Summary
The Finance Business Partner in Volunteering is responsible for providing the first line of support and assistance with the development of financial plans, analysis of the financial performance and forecasts of the Adult Volunteering area, in order to provide high quality business insight to both support and influence strategic decision making by St John’s management teams. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team to ensure delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, that is aligned to strategic operational plans. This will require regularly meeting with relevant stakeholders to critically review and challenge reported performance against agreed plans. This role will not only look after the Adult Volunteering part of the organisation but support some other overheads/areas within the organisation.

About You
You are a fully qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Ideally you have gained experience in the charity sector and large complex organisations. You can demonstrate previous experience in a finance business partner role with a track record of supporting the end-to-end processes for in-year forecasts and annual budgets and three-year plans that are aligned to business strategy. You have significant experience in managing the day-to-day, monthly and annual production of management accounting processes. To be successful you can demonstrate excellent skills in influencing with confidence and gravitas to respectfully challenge. The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system and developing financial policies and procedures. 

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. The role will involve travel to international programme locations.

About the Royal School of Needlework:

The Royal School of Needlework (RSN) is the International Centre of Excellence for the Art of Hand Embroidery. Based at the historic Hampton Court Palace, we have been dedicated to preserving and innovating in the art of hand embroidery since 1872. Our thriving education programme offers courses for all levels, from beginners to degree level, and we teach onsite and online in locations across the UK, and internationally in America, Japan, and Australia. Our renowned Embroidery Studio creates bespoke embroidery for fashion, art, and royalty and offers expert conservation and restoration services for valuable and historical embroidered pieces.

The RSN is unique. No other single organisation covers the breadth of education and practice to promote the art and technique of hand embroidery or has our connections, collection, archive and heritage. Embroidery is an international language. Cultures and communities have used embroidery-based techniques to tell stories and record events for hundreds of years while the individual benefits of mindfulness and mental wellbeing are now increasingly being recognised today.

Position Summary:

The Philanthropy Manager will have a strategic role in increasing funding for RSN’s mission, educational programmes and Fragile Threads programme, individual giving, legacy giving and stewarding events.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser, who is a pro-active and results-driven individual. You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience of face-to-face fundraising, excited by the opportunity to play a key part in the transformation of the RSN. You will use your experience to refine, refresh and grow our established giving circles.

You will have experience in major gifts fundraising, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches and proposals for five and six-figure gifts. You will be good communicator with experience of building and managing successful relationships with donors, senior stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors and overseeing the stewardship of key donors.

You will be an excellent communicator with experience of working directly with the general public, healthcare professionals and researchers, perhaps in account management or a customer-facing role. You will have a background in social research methods, ideally within a health or medical context, and you will be organised, agile, adaptable and a team player.

Prospectus is collaborating with an internationally renowned art and educational institution to recruit for a newly created role in their Advancement Team - Head of Advancement Operations.

Managing a direct team of three, this role reports in to the Director of Advancement. The post holder is responsible for providing oversight, analysis and leadership to the department based on their in-depth knowledge and understanding of information management and financial systems. The Head of Advancement Operations leads the team responsible for the management of the Advancement database, gift administration, prospect research, and leads the financial monitoring of the department, working closely with the Finance team and providing complex analysis and forecasting to the Senior Management Team, Governing Board and other committees. The postholder is also responsible for maintaining and delivering regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external audiences, including quarterly committee papers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role with a strong grasp of fundraising activity and working closely with finance teams. You will have experience of using Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura or a similar database in an educational, charity, arts or heritage fundraising department. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and will be adept at providing advice on matters relating to information management, operations, and systems. You will demonstrate advanced experience of data analysis with the ability to provide recommendations and deliver actionable insights. You will also demonstrate excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills, ensuring team projects and targets are on track and met in full.
