Role description

As our director of digital and information security, you will lead our digital risk and resilience team and programme in order to help build resistance and resilience among the people and movements challenging unaccountable power.

Your focus in this senior role at this crucial time will be on leadership, strategy, growth, and culture, with specific responsibility for our digital risk and resilience programme, internal information security, and tech transformation. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead our digital risk and resilience programme

1. Manage the design and delivery of our digital and information security support, including:
   • Coordinate the digital security mentoring, accompaniment, and capacity sharing we deliver to at-risk activists and low-resource civil society organisations referred through our rapid response mechanism.
   • Oversee the professional information security consultancy and advisory services we provide to high-profile nonprofit and foundation clients.

This is a 2.5 day a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. You will be joining a wonderful team in the UK and Uganda. We currently have two paid staff (based in London and Bournemouth) and a variety of volunteers in the UK, plus a team of 26 staff in Uganda. About the Role
 
Our client is looking for a creative and committed freelance Project Officer to help shape and deliver the next phase of their programme, designed to prepare care-experienced young people for their first tenancy and independent living.
 
The Project Officer will lead on developing and adapting engaging, practical content for both in-person workshops and digital learning formats. This includes producing new resources, co-producing elements with young people, managing delivery in two pilot settings, and supporting the programme’s evaluation and scale-up. About this Role

The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing and promoting IAPO's mission and initiatives through effective marketing and communication strategies. The Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering advocacy campaigns and engagement activities, creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and amplifying IAPO's online presence and visibility within the global health community. The role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for non-profit work. The post holder will report to IAPO's Chief Executive Officer and work closely with all staff members.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our stakeholder engagement initiatives with local authorities across London. This critical role will drive forward the board's vision by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring effective collaboration between local authorities, public health services, and NGSN partners. By positioning gambling harm as a public health issue, we aim to embed harm reduction within broader health systems, ensuring improved access to support and care across London.

By joining our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping the NGSN London Regional Board achieve its aims of reducing gambling harm, promoting long-term recovery, and ensuring improved access to support and care across London's communities.

Bereavement Support Services Lead (Digital). This is a rewarding and key role in the Bereavement Support Services team. The team provides a wide range of services, including the Helpline, Online Community, memory making, and print materials. The aim of this post is to provide operational and line management so that the BSS team can provide consistent, high-quality emotional support to bereaved families who seek support from Sands, as well as supervising the work of the Bereavement Support Officers on the frontline. As our digital support continues to grow and develop, we are looking for someone to support and inspire the team in this expanding area, working closely with Sands’ Bereavement Support Digital Coordinator. The Bereavement Support Services Team offers 1-2-1 support via telephone, email and other digital channels, and is usually open from 10-3 from Monday to Friday and 6-9pm from Tuesday to Thursday with occasional extended opening hours. Support is also available through digital channels; our Online Community, direct messenger on Instagram and Facebook and various closed groups on Facebook which need to be regularly monitored and moderated to provide a safe, user-led space accessible to all. In future a wider range of channels may be used. There are three Bereavement Support Leads (BSLs) including this post holder, and between them they are expected to cover all regular opening hours on a rota basis. Each shift will start 30 minutes before the helpline opens and end 30 minutes after the helpline closes, and BSLs will divide up the week in order to be present during shifts and ensure at least one BSL or the Head of BSS is available to the team 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and 5.30pm-9.30pm Tuesday to Thursday for safeguarding and general support. The role will be split between operational management of the BSS team, line management of BSSOs, supporting and contributing to other strands of bereavement support work, as well as some direct work on all of the support channels.

The Role

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across regions, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region.

Mentoring programme

• Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
• Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
• Design and deliver events and workshops for mentees.
• Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
• Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
• Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
• Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
• Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network process in line with our child protection policy.
• Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.
