The Role
As CEO, you will provide inspirational leadership, overseeing all aspects of the organisations work in the UK and abroad, ensuring continued impact and growth. You will manage our fundraising programme, finances, and operations, as well as motivate and inspire a small but highly dedicated team and network of volunteers.
You will:
- Lead the organisation’s strategy, safeguarding its mission and values.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated leader with a strong track record of management, fundraising, and financial acumen. You will be values-driven and compassionate, with the ability to inspire others and build meaningful relationships at all levels.
You will have:
- Proven senior leadership experience, ideally in the charitable or not-for-profit sector.
- Strategic thinking skills with strong financial and operational management experience.
- Demonstrable success in fundraising and developing new income streams.
- Experience of working with Boards of Trustees and managing governance requirements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience of acting as a public spokesperson.

Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 16 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Assist with recruitment of eight schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. You will work alongside three other Data Officers to assess, prioritise and provide solutions including the building of data selections and journeys for direct marketing purposes and the running of supporter data imports and exports.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering data selections, Building automated journeys for fundraising and engagement activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring communications are delivered to agreed Service Level Agreements.

About You
You will have experience of using CRM Dynamics, Faststats and PeopleStage and or any Donor CRM for marketing purposes. Communication skills play a key part in this role, because you will need to be able to talk through or present selections or solutions to stakeholders.

The Retail Business Manager – London offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Save the Children Retail's evolution, playing a pivotal role in leading change, inspiring teams, and bringing our culture and vision to life.
This role will be vital in providing clarity and direction with regards to how we operate (see our How Our Shops Operate document attached), guiding and engaging shop teams to drive the business to optimum operational success, as well as harnessing commerciality and embracing localism in line with each shop's proposition.
Our shops exist to provide a beautiful shopping experience for all the community. They are each unique within our family of propositions but are united in creating an energy and atmosphere, with positivity and kindness, and providing a welcoming diverse environment.
The current shops you'll manage include Barnes, Bermondsey, Blackheath, Chiswick, Clapham, Ealing Green, East Dulwich, Islington, Kew, Primrose Hill, & Teddington, but please note that these shops/locations will change as the business evolves.
About You
Essential skills & experience:
• Significant experience in a multi-site retail management role.
• Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop geographically dispersed teams.
• Experienced in driving and delivering change management including refits, new shop launches or similar retail development projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to use insight and data to drive performance.
• Confidence working collaboratively and cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
• Entrepreneurial and driven by results with the ability to recognise and prioritise opportunities with the greatest potential.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across London.

About the Degrees Initiative
The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification geoengineering (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions. The initiative has been working in different forms for over a decade, and our work receives worldwide coverage and widespread acclaim.
This is a unique opportunity to inform conversations on SRM in Asia, including the Pacific Islands. Rather than lobbying for outcomes, Degrees aims to support informed, independent policymaking by fostering connections between researchers and policymakers and strengthening institutional expertise. Degrees promotes regional research, creates spaces for policy-science dialogue, and supports the dissemination of Global South research.
Responsibilities
The Policy and Engagement Manager, Asia and the Pacific Islands will strengthen the voice of the Global South in discussions and potential negotiations on SRM research and governance with relevance to Asia by connecting experts to policy processes. Accordingly, the successful candidate will:

Identify and engage key policy actors (e.g. national delegates and legislators, scientific advisors, intergovernmental officials) in Asia and the Pacific Islands, connecting them to local SRM experts and providing them with information, where appropriate, while remaining neutral regarding the potential use and governance of SRM;

Work with SRM researchers from the region to support the creation of a coordinated community of experts;

Build informal and formal partnerships with like-minded organisations, helping to inform discussions and counter misinformation about climate and SRM

Share expertise and experience gained from Asia and the Pacific Islands with staff and researchers and participate, as appropriate, in activities in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean to gain similar expertise;

Identify the most impactful international forums and regional SRM discussions, and work to connect local experts into these;

Support the execution and coordination of the Degrees policy engagement strategy in collaboration with other policy and programmatic staff;

Contribute to budgeting and alignment with programmes;

Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities by contributing to tracking, documentation, and reporting of policy engagement outcomes;

Identify a core group of researchers interested in policy engagement, and facilitate and join their participation in governance fora such as the UNFCCC COP, UN Environment Assembly, and meetings of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity;

In cooperation with the communications staff, ensure the development of clear, contextualised briefing materials for policy makers and other audiences.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop new opportunities to work in partnership with Young Adult/Paediatric neuroscience centres, treatment centres and hospitals to drive best practice in Young Adult/Paediatric brain tumour care which focuses on improved outcomes and quality of life
- Further develop the Young Adult/Paediatric healthcare professional network, ensuring we develop and maintain productive relationships.
- Work collaboratively internally & externally to understand the needs of different healthcare audiences. Work with teams across the organisation to develop engagement tools & activities to increase knowledge & confidence in brain tumours
- Help build new networks to allow us to actively influence service improvement and patient care to achieve better outcomes for the patient’s quality of life
- Coordinate & facilitate engagement activities with healthcare professionals to gather actionable insights, develop surveys and produce hospital reports
- Work in conjunction with the Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence and other external professionals to support the development and delivery of continuous professional development.
