• To lead the team to meet income targets through the delivery of an engaging Events portfolio
• To lead the development and implementation of plans, marketing materials, multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys for Event participants
• To Manage and inspire the Events Managers and wider team

• Previous experience in leading a high-performing Events team

About the role:

This is a varied role that would suit an individual who has sound knowledge in childcare legislation, advocacy and participation and is passionate about making meaningful relationships to achieve change.

We are offering this role on a fixed term basis for external applicants.  Internal staff would be offered a secondment opportunity to further develop skill sets/knowledge.  Approval from current line managers must be sought before applying.

The role will require you to be able to work flexibly, which will include evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of our children and young people.

We have a rewarding and varied opportunity for a Community Based Dementia Adviser to join us covering Southwark and Lambeth. The successful candidate will be delivering advice and guidance to people, families and carers affected by dementia. Working as part of the Alzheimer’s Society Lambeth team and the Southwark and Lambeth Memory Service you will support newly diagnosed clients to navigate support and services from the London Borough of Lambeth, who are referred to our service.
 
There is no direct care element to the Community Based Dementia Adviser role, however we work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia. This role supports people in their homes where we interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. The Alzheimer’s Society are proud to have a small but passionate and diverse team with a welcoming and supportive culture.

Hours: 17.5 per week (to be agreed hours must be between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 8 months 
Location: Community based with regular travel across Southwark and Lambeth

About this role

As a Communications Manager your responsibilities would include: -    

1. Lead, inspire and manage the Communications team to raise the profile of Carers First with multiple audiences and awareness of the issues affecting carers 
2. Develop our digital offer across England to expand our reach and engagement with carers online, helping them to access timely and relevant information.
3. Support the wider Carers First team with the promotion and delivery of projects and events to strengthen our offer and services for carers. 
4. Work with the Director of Income and Engagement, and the wider fundraising team, to support campaigns, events and marketing approaches that increase Carers First’s voluntary income and wider donor engagement
5. Effectively develop and manage a range of stakeholder relationships to deliver the Communications Plan.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

Leadership and management 

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior communications position, ideally within the charity or public sectors

• Proven ability to manage both strategy and delivery programmes, balancing long-term objectives with operational priorities
• Superb manager with the proven ability to inspire, motivate, support and lead staff to thrive and create a high performing team and measurable results.

Communications and stakeholder engagement 

• Proven experience of developing and delivering marketing and/or communications plans 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled copywriter able to communicate messages in a clear and engaging way

IT and digital experience  

• Experience using Canva or similar accessible content creation tools, with an eye for strong visual design and brand consistency
• Ability to simplify systems and processes, particularly spreadsheet-based workflows
• Experience using CRM systems, analytics tools, email marketing software, and social media platforms

Fundraising and project management 

• Previous experience working in support of fundraising campaigns, or relevant marketing approaches 

• Project management experience: leading others to oversee and manage projects, events or campaigns.

The Role

Whilst the North-East is an amazing place to live, there are still challenges, with large disparities between Gateshead’s wealthier and poorer areas, and 23,600 people live in areas described as having deep deprivation. With this comes all the associated issues that poverty causes, including 1 in 4 children growing up in poverty and one of the worst levels of social mobility in the country.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and steward relationships with these, overseeing and building a strategy to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo on Spear Programme performance and ongoing operations of the centre, and report back on KPIs

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services

Site management 

• Work with the Church to coordinate the training room and any infrastructure needs for the Spear Centre
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

An exceptional opportunity to work with a passionate volunteer-led organisation and help shape the future of a remarkable industrial heritage site. Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections. Three new part-time staff roles are being created to focus on volunteering, collections and managing the project.

The part-time Museum Operations and Project Manager will manage day-to-day operations and oversee delivery of the project initiatives. We will also be recruiting a Curatorial Officer (one day per week) and a Volunteer Coordinator (two days per week).

About the role:

Based in Haringey, London, is a supported living accommodation for up to 5 service users with staff on duty 24 hours a day. Staff are involved in supporting the service users in all aspects of their daily life, providing them with physical and emotional support in all areas of day-to-day life, both inside and outside the home e.g. personal care, meal times, recreation and leisure, attending medical appointments etc.

Responsibilities as our Deputy Manager will include:

• Deputising for the Manager in managing the staff, coordinating the delivery of all services to the Service Users and ensuring the requirements of the appropriate regulatory body are always adhered to
• Managing the care support provided to the Service Users in the absence of the Manager in a non-judgemental way based upon trust, honesty, transparency and professional standards
• Supporting Service Users with all daily living tasks and outings as appropriate and development reviews
• Supporting people when out in the community and promoting a better understanding and awareness of Learning
• Difficulties and Physical disability issues in the general community
• Assisting in ensuring all appropriate records are maintained, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory body

What we’re looking for in our ideal Deputy Manager:

We are looking for a candidate that has experience of delivering services to people with complex needs, who will ensure that the service users receive a high-quality service, ensuring that their individual sessions are planned, executed and monitored.  You will also need to ensure that all areas are delivered and maintained to a consistently high level, and that staff are encouraged to meet goals for service users and themselves.

You must be willing to work flexibly across our services when needed, and will have experience of managing staff, leading a team and conducting supervision, with a willingness to learn management skills as and when identified by your line manager. Head of Finance
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience

Joining the Executive Team and playing a central role in shaping the charity’s future, you will:

• Lead, manage and continually improve the finance function
• Provide accurate, timely financial reports to the CEO, Executive Team and Trustees
• Be Executive Lead for the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
• Oversee financial accounts, forecasting and reporting for large-scale programmes and estate developments
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including annual audits and reporting to the Charity Commission and Companies House

• Lead and develop a small Finance team, including the Senior Finance Manager, Debt Recovery Consultant, Development Partnerships Lead and two Finance Officers

This is a role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across all departments, ensuring the charity has the financial insight and stability to deliver life-changing projects.
 
About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within a charity. You’ll bring:

• Confidence in leading finance operations and processes with strong attention to detail
• Experience of statutory reporting, VAT (including partial exemption) and financial compliance in a charity setting
• The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to colleagues and trustees
• Experience of introducing improved reporting tools and supporting others to use them

The role

We’re all driven, and you’ll need to be too - this is a fast-paced, ambitious environment with lots of learning and change.

We’re looking for a strategic, creative Head of Fundraising to lead our next phase of growth.

Your first focus will be stewarding our 3,000 fundraisers - overseeing segmented email journeys, managing a £40k prizing fund, and improving supporter care through deeper, more personal touchpoints. That might mean calls, events, or just finding ways to help people feel more connected to their impact.

Beyond that, you'll help us develop and test new income streams - from matched giving and regular giving, to sponsorships, repeat fundraising, and post-event conversion. You'll also play a key role in evolving our Challenge Events portfolio across in-person, virtual, and blended formats.

This role requires someone with a strong track record in fundraising growth, a test-and-learn mindset, and the ambition to build something big.

• Strategy Development and Implementation

Fundraiser Care

• Customer Lifetime value / retention / regular giving.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring effective stewardship.
• Develop and implement donor retention strategies to increase long-term support and regular giving.

Trusts and Foundations

• Working closely with our Head of Programmes to oversee our bids process, working with specialists and utilising learnings from previous years.
• Deepen strong relationships with grant-making bodies and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Corporate Partnerships

• Manage and develop corporate partnerships and event sponsorships. 
• Develop tailored proposals and pitches to attract corporate support.

Team Leadership

• Lead, inspire, and manage a small fundraising team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members for both fundraising and marketing.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Track and report on fundraising performance against targets.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in a senior fundraising role.
• Proven experience working on fundraising events and event fundraising.
• Demonstrable success in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
• Strong track record of securing major gifts, grant funding and/or corporate partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.

About The Role

Legacies are one of the most vital sources of income for the Royal British Legion, helping us continue our work supporting the Armed Forces community. We’re now looking for a Legacy Management Officer to join our dedicated team and ensure that every gift left to the charity is managed with care, professionalism, and in line with the wishes of our supporters.

In this role, you’ll take responsibility for a varied caseload of legacy files, from straightforward pecuniary gifts through to more complex residuary estates, foreign assets, and occasionally contentious cases. You’ll be the point of contact for executors, solicitors, other charities and beneficiaries, ensuring estates are administered correctly and that the Legion receives its full entitlement. We’re looking for someone with proven experience in Wills, Probate and Trusts, or legacy administration, whether that’s from a legal practice or a charity environment. Strong knowledge of inheritance tax, estate accounts and the wider legal framework is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to make decisions on complex issues. You’ll also need to be highly organised, resilient under pressure and able to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
