As we move forward with our refreshed strategy, we are looking for a new Director of Finance and Operations to join our Senior Leadership Team.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the Lab’s operational heart; from finance and governance to people, culture, IT and compliance. You'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure our infrastructure is not only effective and efficient, but enabling of bold, systemic work across the UK. The role balances high level financial strategy and organisational leadership with routine financial reporting, oversight of day-to-day operations and actively supporting team wellbeing. It will suit someone confident operating strategically at an Executive and Board level, but who’s also comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a small, agile organisation.

We are seeking someone with significant experience in finance and operations leadership, ideally in a non-profit, consultancy or values driven setting, who is committed to equity, anti-racism, and social justice. This is a 0.6 FTE role (21 hours/week) and we welcome applications from those looking for flexible or part-time senior leadership work that makes a real difference. As a team, we operate remotely across the UK with regular project-related travel. Our staff work from home or when appropriate, together in local co-working spaces, and normally, a few times a year we meet as a whole team for a few days to develop and connect.

You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Walworth. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

Centre Leaders are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres

Location

The role requires intermittent travel in your region (usually within the day). Periodic travel out of the area is also required e.g. to London, this may include occasional overnight stays. 

Salary

£38,200 per annum (inclusive of £2,600 London contribution). This will rise to £39,100 per annum (inclusive of £2,700 London contribution) from 1st September 2025.

We are searching for a dedicated and hands-on Service Manager to lead and develop services for children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs; services will include afterschool clubs (Mon-Thurs), weekend and school holiday playschemes/teen sessions. The role will involve planning and delivering inclusive, engaging, and structured activities within a fun, safe, and supportive environment. This role goes beyond traditional HR, and will help to deliver significant systemic change within ATLEU and, through sharing our learning, for survivors of trafficking across the advice and anti-trafficking workforces. The successful candidate will strengthen ATLEU’s organisational capacity to become a lived experience advice sector employer, integrate exceptional people management and ensure that every employee is equipped to thrive in their role.

In the coming months we will be reviewing our structure to better align it with our purpose and strategy, which will include establishing a new executive and leadership team and this appointment of a People and Inclusion Manager. This is a role for anyone with at least three years of HR experience and a strong interest in taking on a new challenge in an organisation with a commitment to maintaining and strengthening its people and culture and, to build its capacity to provide employment pathways for survivors of trafficking and slavery within the advice sector.

You will work closely under the supervision of the Head of Operations to develop and deliver a People, Culture and Inclusion strategy. You will provide efficient and effective management of Human Resources (HR) services and ensure ATLEU’s values and culture are woven into all areas of our activities. This is a part-time role (up to 21 hours per week), offering opportunities for growth and development.

The People and Inclusion Manager will be responsible for leading on enhancing  a positive, energising work environment at ATLEU, enhancing staff well-being; with a specific focus on

- developing and implementing a people, culture and inclusion strategy

- ensuring that employee wellbeing is at the forefront of this strategy

Education Workers are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

The role requires intermittent travel in your region (usually within the day) this can involve journeys times of 1 hour+. Occasional travel out of your local area e.g. to London is also required, this may include overnight stays.

Salary

£27,400 per annum. This will rise to £28,250 per annum from 1st September 2025.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

Prospect Research Manager

The Prospect Research Manager will be instrumental in identifying and unlocking the potential of these supporters.

This strategic role sits at the heart of our development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.

Following the implementation of a new CRM system, the Prospect Research Manager will also play a key role in embedding best practices in data management and prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.

This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week. We are happy to offer flexibility across the working week, and the specific days and schedule can be agreed with the successful candidate to ensure a good fit for both the individual and the team.

There is an expectation to attend the office once per week as well as any required in person meetings.

The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is £36,750, which equates to a pro-rata salary of:

 Key responsibilities: 

Prospect Research & Pipeline Development: Conduct high-quality, targeted prospect research to identify and support new fundraising opportunities across ZSL’s priority income streams: institutional fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.

Strategic Prospect Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and implement a robust prospect development strategy that aligns with ZSL’s organisational goals and long-term fundraising ambitions.

Insightful Donor Intelligence: Create detailed research briefings, biographies, and insight reports to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and strategic engagement planning.

Tools, Processes & Compliance: Support the continuous improvement of prospect management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to relevant codes of practice.

About You

• Experience in wealth screening, capacity assessment and affinity analysis to provide propensity scoring.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations and how it applies to prospect research and development (e.g. GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice).
• Experience of successfully implementing a prospect development strategy to support increasing and diversifying income.
• Proven experience in identifying and conducting detailed research on high-net-worth individuals, trusts and corporates for the higher education / charity sector.
• Evidenced track record of supporting fundraisers with insights in fundraising to achieve six or seven figure donations.
• Experience of using databases within fundraising for prospect management and reporting and making appropriate data management recommendations (Tessitura would be an advantage).
• Knowledge of the principles of philanthropic analysis, relationship mapping and connections, and what makes a good fundraising prospect.
