About the role:

One role is based at Kings College Hospital the second role is based at Princess Royal University Hospital. As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• implement effective ways of working with male victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to male victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through procedures and protocols to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• specialise and be leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for a male victims

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

This role is based in Norwich, as a Case Manager you will be:

Providing a high quality, end-to-end support service to the most vulnerable victims of complex crimes in particular Domestic Abuse. This post is an exciting opportunity to work with Nottingham City’s PCN 8 (Clifton and Meadows).. Using the Macmillan Electronic Holistic Needs Assessment to support Cancer Care Reviews will ensure patients have access to the right support for all their non-clinical needs. The post will also work on the preventative agenda, supporting uptake of cancer screening across the PCNs and supporting the practices within the PCNs to deliver their improvement plan around early diagnosis of cancer. (in line with NHS England and NHS Improvement -  QOF Quality Improvement domain 20/21 – Early diagnosis of cancer).

 You will work in partnership with GP surgeries to give non-medical support that maximises patients’ wellbeing through their Cancer journey. The primary role is to do Cancer Care Reviews, with access to each surgery’s IT systems to track patient lists, document, and communicate with practice staff. This role will involve liaising with services from within the NHS structure as well as external services, so you will need to be skilled in navigating intricate processes and organisational structures from both the inside and the outside. You will also help with improving screening uptake and community engagement, building relationships with local services and groups to further enhance the support.

About the role:

The role of Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the service in Cumbria.

As a TEIO, you will;

• answer incoming calls, speaking to those affected by crime & manage a caseload
• make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
• work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
• liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
• work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

About the Role:

The role is office based across the Wakefield and Shipley sites. We are currently operating on a hybrid rota which includes some days working from home. There may be occasional travel required for training and development purposes.

We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.

Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.

The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.

This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. To lead on running our employability training and Alumni Job Club.

2. To develop workshop structures and learning materials for these in close collaboration with the Development Director and ensure that participant feedback from earlier programmes is incorporated.

3. To line manage Development Job Coaches as needed.

4. To manage and deliver job search sessions.

5. To lease with Employability Lead when participants are ready to move over in In Work Support team.

6. To advertise project opportunities to autistic people throughout London and manage project recruitment and onboarding.

7. To ensure processes are in-place for each project to:- assess each participant’s individual skills and gather baseline data; ensure job matches are appropriate to the individual’s needs and aspirations; and that targets set are relevant and promote new skills and learning; acquire and complete necessary risk assessments to ensure safety of clients, staff and partners.

8. To oversee the set up and settling in of jobseekers into work placements, when needed. Providing support and training to employers where required; providing personalised on the job training to participants and employers as required and develop strategies and advise on reasonable adjustments.

9. To coach, train and help manage new project staff to support jobseekers and put in place monitoring protocols.

10.  To ensure jobseekers are progressing towards their individual targets; understand protocols and interpret work culture correctly; understand the health & safety in the work environment and adopt appropriate workplace behaviour.

11.  To ensure good working relationships are maintained with all employers/ work experience placements and that feedback is regularly sort from all stakeholders to help improve our service delivery and future opportunities.

12.  As a key member of the Development Team to work closely with the Development Director to actively, engage with employers and external organisations to promote CareTrade and our job seekers and to pursue opportunities to work collaboratively.

13.  To attend events, to market CareTrade to autistic jobseekers and to liaise with Disability Employment Advisors at JobCentre Plus, Disability Services teams, Social Workers and others to promote and support employment opportunities as needed.

14.  To organise and promote social groups for jobseekers.

15.  To collect data and use data analysis to help produce reports, internally, for funders and partners.

16.   To help seek and apply for appropriate awards and grants when required.

17.  To be a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)  and First Aider and complete regular training working alongside the Development Director to ensure the safety of participants and staff.

We are looking to recruit a part time Older People’s Money Management and Support Coordinator (21 hours/week) to be responsible for providing essential financial guidance, support and advocacy to Customers living in Gateway’s Older Peoples Schemes. Your primary focus will be to help older residents manage their finances, access appropriate benefits, and develop financial literacy skills. We can offer a hybrid working arrangement for this part -time position - you will be able to split your time between working from our office in Mile End and working alongside our residents in our Sheltered schemes in Tower Hamlets.

Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

· Working closely with Income/Housing Teams in reviewing pre-eviction cases ensuring appropriate support has been offered prior to action.

· Providing a customer focused service where we help to empower residents to sustain their tenancies, delivering both welfare benefits advice and money guidance support.

· Financial Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to older residents on financial matters, including budgeting, debt management, banking, and money-saving strategies.

· Benefits and Entitlements: Assist residents in understanding and accessing relevant benefits, allowances, and grants, providing support with applications, appeals, and assessments.

· Financial and Support Assessments: Conduct comprehensive financial assessments with older individuals to determine their income, expenditure, and financial needs, identifying areas for improvement or intervention.

· Budget Planning: Help residents develop realistic budgets and financial plans, considering their income, expenses, and financial goals, and offering ongoing support to ensure their successful implementation.

· Financial Literacy: Organise workshops, training sessions, or one-on-one coaching to enhance residents' financial literacy skills, empowering them to make informed financial decisions.

· Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of financial assessments, support provided, and outcomes achieved, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and producing reports as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

· Extensive knowledge of a wide range of benefits (including welfare reform)

· Experience of working in advisory role with the public

· Experience of handling case work and referring to relevant organisations

· Knowledge of completing applications for benefits, grants, appeals and funding.

· Understanding the principals of budgeting for low-income families

· Good understanding of equality and diversity.

· Operate flexible working hours to make sure all customers have access to this service.

· Sound knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting techniques, debt management strategies, and benefits systems in the United Kingdom.

About You: 

To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills: 

The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.

Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Development Officer (Early Help Outreach) to be involved in supporting and developing the volunteer aspects of the Befriending project in the Westminster area and to ensure that the organisation reaches and supports as many families as possible, primarily those aged 0-16 years and referred by the Westminster Early Help service as step down families. In addition, you will support the Outreach team supporting families of those aged 0-5 years.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Team Leader on all aspects of volunteer recruitment, such as ensuring there is a continual bank of active volunteers, publicising vacancies and organising and conducting interviews. You will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of volunteer training and providing one to one support and group supervision as appropriate. In addition, the role will include matching of volunteers to families, assessing the needs of families, supporting with home visits, keeping accurate records and completing reports. The post holder will also support holiday activities with wider teams and outreach support.

You will need to have experience of volunteer recruitment and training as well as experience of managing volunteers. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the role of volunteers in community projects. We are looking for someone with experience of family support work and of effectively managing safeguarding issues. Comprehensive knowledge of local agencies, networks, and partnerships within the area of family support is required.

You are required to have excellent communication skills, both written and oral to enable volunteers, service users and partner organisations to be kept well informed about the project and to resolve any issues in the delivery of the project.
