The Diocesan Safeguarding Team supports parishes and senior clergy to safeguard children and adults who may be at risk of abuse and neglect, and those in abusive relationships.

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Training Administrator supports the department through a variety of tasks from the booking and administration of safeguarding training courses run by the Diocese and content management for the training webpages through to the maintenance of the personal safeguarding training record database.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training

• In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
• To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year.  This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
• To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses. 
• Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.

General Administrative 

• Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review. 
• Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings. 
• Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
• Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) is Lambeth’s peer-led Disabled People’s Organisation. 

You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation.

My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a multi-award-winning self-advocacy charity uniquely run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998.  The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative user led projects that enhance and empower the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.  These established projects include a fee earning training and consultancy Professional Services team, gig buddy, travel buddy scheme, a nightclub, campaigns and self-advocacy groups.

Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence.

Training Link is recruiting a new Green Learning Coordinator who will develop and run environmental workshops for local residents in Somers Town, Camden.

The purpose of the role is to design and deliver a new Green Learning programme for Training Link and to support residents in Somers Town in their journey to becoming cleaner and greener through community engagement, training and project delivery.

About Training Link

Training Link is a small charity with nearly 40 years’ experience of supporting people in Somers Town. We offer courses for adults to help people get a job or return to work, often after a long absence. Many of our learners are reluctant to go to a large adult education college where in practice they would receive little individual support in their learning; we offer a supportive, friendly learning environment where people feel comfortable and welcomed.  Current classes include ESOL, IT and Maths. We also provide one to one sessions for those needing support around literacy. 

Purpose of the role: 

• To design and deliver new Green Learning programme for Training Link.
• To develop and run high quality, engaging, fun and interactive community-based environmental awareness classes and activities tailored to adult learners, including learners speaking English as a second language.
• To support residents in Somers Town in their journey to becoming cleaner and greener through community engagement, training and project delivery.
• To help Training Link team to positively engage and communicate with local residents and community leaders/ groups on climate emergency and positive actions.
• To create a welcoming, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• To enable those learners who wish to study further to gain an accredited qualification in Environmental Awareness, including environmental awareness in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities: 

• To record and monitor learners’ attendance, progression and achievement.
• To contribute to the evaluation of teaching and learning to inform future planning, ensuring learner involvement in the process.
• To keep up to date with local and wider issues related to the Climate Emergency, from a lay person’s perspective.
• To liaise with the Director and participate in the appraisal process when required.

• To ensure that each learner provides personal information as required, and complete a learner agreement enrolment form and evaluation form at the end of the course. To keep a register for each session.

Essential Requirements for the Role

• Knowledge and Qualifications:
• Good understanding of the Climate Crisis and what can be done at a grass roots level to address it.
• An adult teaching or coaching qualification is desirable, or willingness to be working towards one.
• Ability to think creatively and use judgement, experience and initiative to solve problems
• An aptitude for collaboration and cross team working
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with all sections of the community, in a variety of situations, including the confidence to present to different and represent Training Link at events

You’ll be working with a dynamic group of volunteers and visitors, helping to keep the Hub running day-to-day, as well as taking on a special focus of your own.

One special focus will be reaching out and drawing in: connecting with communities, groups and people around Swindon who are not using the Hub; building relationships, working in partnership and organising events and activities to see that the Hub is as inclusive and diverse as it can be.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (14-21 hours per week). Additional hours may sometime be required, particularly for Trustee meetings, and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.

The charity’s inaugural Volunteer Coordinator will lead on the charity’s existing and emerging volunteer activity, including recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteer groups. Volunteers will be key in the achievement of local impact, and the coordination of these vital roles will be equally as important.

The postholder will support managers in the creation and implementation of volunteering opportunities and ensure that the charity’s policies and procedures create a safe, supportive and effective environment in which volunteers can thrive.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time or Part-time (14-35 hours per week). If part-time agreed then additional hours may sometime be required and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.

The charity’s inaugural Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of marketing, comms and PR of our Community Hubs, with a focus on our Oldbury Court Hub. The role will drive enhancements to the charity’s engagement and impact which will secure further support and resources for its critical work.

The postholder will work with colleagues in delivering regular communications output, events and campaigns, and in building and managing networks of local stakeholders and partners.

Based at the 999 club in Deptford, a safe and welcoming space for those experiencing homelessness Move+ is the latest of the 999 club’s service offerings which also include a drop-in day centre, employment & training support, advocacy & advice, a women’s space and the Bridge, our evening service for people in mental health crisis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge service within the sector. The overall aim of Move+ is to enable people who have been homeless to draw upon their shared experiences and support one another to escape homelessness for good. Move+ empowers people to live independently, to set up and maintain a stable home, while working towards long-term goals and aspirations enabling them to move forwards with their lives. This is achieved through a combination of peer coaching, personalised support and an exclusive program of workshops and activities.

Working closely with the Coproduction Manager as part of the Specialist Services team, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of Move+. This includes line management of a team of Peer Coaches, focusing on support, personal and professional development. You will conduct assessments and manage referrals, build and maintain relationships, as well as promote the service, both internally and externally. Overall, you’ll ensure a high quality of service delivery that meets or exceeds targets and, most importantly, supports and empowers all participants.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering and motivating others. Prior experience, lived, management or other is great, but attitude is key. We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and confident individual to join our Social Prescribing team working with adults and children, specialising in mental health, and helping patients to access support that will help them lead more independent, resilient and healthier lives.

Working alongside GP practices, Social Prescribing Link Coordinators help child and adult mental health patients and families connect with health and community services which will make a real difference to their emotional and physical wellbeing.

You will deliver personalised support to patients, independently managing new referrals from health professional and a caseload. It’s essential that you have an understanding of how to prioritise need, and are able to recognise when to refer on to specialist services, and must be confident to communicate at all levels across health and social care sectors.  

The position is available in Gillingham and applicants must have experience of working with adults or children, a background in medical or social care, and experience of delivering mental health support to clients or groups.

You will need to demonstrate a robust knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding and boundaries in all aspects of your work. Car driver essential.
