Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and play a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.
With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity leave expected to begin in March, this 18-month fixed-term role exists to lead and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level, with immediate responsibility for the Blenheim Ball (April) – the event Tatler refers to as “ society’s smartest ball “chaired by Lady Alexandra Spencer Churchill; and Newbury Race Day (May) – one of Starlight’s longest-standing and most successful supporter events, hosted by Nicky Henderson and his Committee.
This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running and immediately take ownership of two flagship events. Main Purpose

CONTEXT OF THIS ROLE:
At Purposeful, learning is a political responsibility. We are reclaiming and organising our many ways of knowing, meeting stories with data, and building a robust case for this work. We are bridging traditional logical frameworks with feminist learning principles and creating space for their co-existence.
The Senior Learning and Insights Manager will play a critical role-- contributing to a bold learning and insights strategy aligned with Purposeful’s vision, mission, and growth, leading the design of data collection systems, contributing to data collection efforts, from surveys to storytelling, closing feedback loops and crafting knowledge products, intended to inform, influence and amplify.
They will bring technical expertise across a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, they will come with curiosity and a willingness to share. The Learning and Insights Manager will work closely with the Learning and Insights Lead and across all Purposeful teams, particularly Grant-making, Communications and Resource Mobilisation.

SCOPE OF WORK
1. Learning and Insights Strategy and Systems

Contribute to the delivery and implementation of a new Learning and Insights strategy and results framework, building on our Learning Agenda.

Lead the design and embedding of data collection tools and systems across Purposeful teams, in particular our global grantmaking and advocacy teams.

Work closely with the Learning and Insights team to champion a culture of learning within Purposeful and with grantee partners.
2. Technical Support

Lead cycles of data collection across our global grantmaking work - supporting regional teams with technical expertise, as and when needed.

Periodically join learning calls, spaces and convenings with our grantee partners - embedding and supporting documentation.

Lead regular cross team learning and insights meetings and drive follow up actions.

Conduct periodic analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, and produce synthesis that informs strategic choices across thematic and regional work.

Facilitate sense-making and feedback loops with the Purposeful team, girls, young feminists, and grantee partners.

Manage timelines and workplans to feed into key learning and reporting moments.
3. Research

Move learning grants to grantees (approximately five to ten grants annually) to enable them to document their work and/or conduct research which they have identified as a priority - this includes an application process, accompaniment plan and check-ins.

Contribute to the delivery of research led or commissioned by Purposeful, this may include the reviewing TORS and methodologies, check ins with consultants, and reviewing deliverables.
4. Knowledge Production and Dissemination

Conceptualize and produce case studies, briefs or other knowledge products underpinned by quantitative and qualitative data, to assist with case building.

Contribute to the development of other external knowledge products as required, such as slidedecks, thematic briefs, regional briefs, blogs, op-eds, and research reports.

Work across teams to identify opportunities to disseminate and amplify knowledge products, including conference spaces, social media campaigns, webinars, instagram lives and academic publications.

Lead and/or contribute to the drafting of conference and journal abstracts.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience & Skills

At least five to seven years of experience in MEL or research, including experience working with philanthropic funds, feminist organisations or social justice movements.

Demonstrated experience designing and implementing learning frameworks and systems across multiple projects or funds.

In-depth understanding of feminist issues, movement building, social justice and/or girls’ rights, or another thematic area, such as humanitarian aid or climate change, and how it relates to girls and young feminists.

About the role
Reporting in to the UK Influencing Lead, the Engagement & Civil Society Lead will manage Christian Aid’s church influencing, interfaith and civil society partners in the UK, in line with policy, advocacy and campaigns strategies that maximises impact.
The post-holder will ensure Christian Aid is engaged in effective civil society coalitions, and coalition spaces, working closely with the campaign’s advisor and UK influencing team , empowering collaboration.

Our Supported Housing and Emergency Accommodation Service is funded to provide support to those with multiple and complex needs who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, located in close proximity within Gateshead:
- Two supported housing sites; one 8 bed, one 6 bed, both staffed 24 hours.
- Six self-contained properties forming the emergency accommodation element of the service.
Our properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with individuals. About the Role
This is a hands-on and rewarding role where you will lead the day-to-day delivery of major donor fundraising and help grow legacy giving. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary NHS team alongside clinicians, social workers, and community partners to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness. Holding a caseload of service users, you will act as their key contact, contributing to care planning, monitoring progress, and supporting safe discharge using the RiO clinical records system. Together with service users, you will develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building strong therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. You will help individuals access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, attend clinical meetings and community events, and advocate for recovery-focused, jargon-free communication. You will ensure accurate documentation, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development.

We are looking for someone with NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience in a mental health setting. You will bring a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery, and co-production principles, alongside experience of working collaboratively with professionals, services, and communities. Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act is essential, as are excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills. This exciting new project has emerged following consultation and engagement work in 2025 across central government, Local Authorities, regional London-wide partners, Young Camden, Young Brent and Young Westminster Foundations, and the local voluntary sectors.
The result is an innovative, co-funded project, seeking to work in new ways for the benefit of young people at risk of serious youth violence in this part of NW London. This role will coordinate all aspects of the management of this programme, driving high quality delivery and outcomes.
The focus of this collaboration is to tackle Serious Youth Violence and promote youth safety across the stretch of NW London from Kilburn High Road (Brent & Camden), through Queen’s Park (Brent & Westminster) which covers three boroughs. This part of London has been a hotspot for serious youth violence for many years, for young people both based in these communities and passing through. Tackling the issues in this part of North West London has always been a challenge, as the area is split across Local Authority lines. The area also features high levels of serious violence involving young people, both committing offences and also being victims of them (often interlinked). This is coupled with high levels of poverty and inequality, and also features relatively fewer youth opportunities than elsewhere in these boroughs.
As part of the project, the Local Authorities of each area are contributing funds over the next three years to fund collaborative and cross-borough projects that will support the safety of children and young people in this community. The project is funded by John Lyon’s Charity.
The project recognises that many of the challenges in this part of London are structural, but is motivated by the hope that key partners working together in new and different ways can help to breakdown some of the barriers that interrupt effective intervention and prevention.
The project does not seek to reinvent the wheel, and instead seeks to leverage the existing connections, expertise, partnerships and projects already happening within local areas.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.
The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.
The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.
You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.
As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.
The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.
The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.
