What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to connect schools with powerful, practical research. You’ll take a leading role in shaping how NFER communicates with educators, using your creativity and insight to bring our work to life across digital channels.

One day you might be crafting social media content that sparks conversation among teachers, the next, you’ll be writing an email newsletter that lands just right with a headteacher seeking evidence-based ideas. You’ll help turn research into engaging, accessible summaries, so schools can quickly grasp key insights and put them into action.

You’ll also update and improve our For Schools website pages, ensuring every word is useful and user-friendly. Behind the scenes, you’ll track performance using analytics, learning what works and what could work even better. And throughout it all, you’ll collaborate with researchers, designers, and communications experts to deliver thoughtful, impactful campaigns that schools actually want to read.

About the role 

As Digital Fundraising Executive, you will manage specific digital campaigns to drive supporter acquisition, engagement, retention and income. You will play an important role in ensuring we provide the best possible online experiences for supporters, and that our content and journeys are as effective and engaging as they can be.

Contract 

This role is available full-time (35 hours per week, Monday – Friday) with some flexibility around hours worked, or part-time (at least 28 hours per week). You will work remotely or a hybrid of remote and working in our collaborative, modern office space in Haywards Heath, which is open Tuesday – Thursday and is a short train journey from Brighton, or a 45-minute train journey from London. You will be expected to attend the office for monthly team meetings and there may be a small amount of other ad-hoc travel within the UK.  

Responsibilities 

• Managing digital fundraising projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth execution, timely delivery, and alignment with objectives and budget.
• Oversee digital fundraising projects, to ensure they meet objectives, remain within budget, and achieve set targets
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to integrate digital content and messaging into offline campaigns
• Oversee the full lifecycle of email campaigns, including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting
• Develop engaging onboarding experiences for new supporters to encourage long-term engagement
• Support the Digital Manager in expanding international fundraising through a range of digital channels
• Monitor the performance of digital fundraising activities, updating plans and implementing improvements where necessary

Skills 

 Essential:  

• Proven experience in managing digital fundraising projects with timely delivery, adherence to briefs and budgets, and effective results reporting.  
• Experience and understanding of key digital marketing or fundraising platforms and disciplines - such as content management systems, email marketing, social media platforms, search and display advertising and ideally experience with GA4. 
• Excellent writing skills, with experience in writing strong fundraising copywriting.
• Competence in data analysis, reporting, and tracking progress against KPIs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.  
• Project management skills involving coordination with multiple teams and external agencies to achieve organisational goals.

Desirable:  

• Experience in international fundraising.  
• Understanding of various individual-giving fundraising disciplines, such as mailings, inserts, and TV advertising.  
• Experience in orchestrating virtual mass participation events.  
• Strong editing and proofreading abilities.  
• Research skills to identify new digital and fundraising opportunities.

About the role

This role provides tactical and targeted support to our District teams as we seek to enable our volunteers to deliver training to both cadets and volunteers in line with the Sea Cadets Learning Strategy.  This post is responsible for supporting the delivery of the district training, including Royal Marine Cadet (RMC) training activity at Troop level. The work location can be flexible (home or office-based) requiring regular evening and weekend working supporting our volunteers by attending virtual meetings and delivering online training.

Responsibilities

• To provide functional support to our area Training Managers and District and RMC Troop Teams, ensure the district training plans are delivered, amended as necessary throughout the year, to the training plan and in line with identified training needed to best support the delivery of the Sea Cadet Experience.
• To support specific District Teams including the District Training Officer (DTO), District Recreational Officer/ Deputy District Officer (DRO/DDO), District Staff Officers (DSO), and RMC Troop Commanders (Trp Cdr) identified as requiring support under our change management process.
• To work closely with all District Officers to increase the number of certificated, current and competent instructors, and develop the capability and capacity of District Instructors to deliver training to cadets and volunteers across all Districts.
• To support the ATOs/DTOs/RMC Troops in all training matters (including uniformed and unit management teams) with a specific focus on Districts/Troops that need support.
• Support our Programmes and Virtual Training Manager with the co-ordination the of delivery of appropriate MSSC and other approved training packages (including BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) appropriate to the age and experience of cadets across the organisation.
• Work under the leadership of our Assistant Director Sea Cadet Learning monitor performance against set targets set by the National Support Centre to ensure equitable access for cadets and adults to the Sea Cadet Experience.

Bereavement Support Services Lead (Digital). This is a rewarding and key role in the Bereavement Support Services team. The team provides a wide range of services, including the Helpline, Online Community, memory making, and print materials. The aim of this post is to provide operational and line management so that the BSS team can provide consistent, high-quality emotional support to bereaved families who seek support from Sands, as well as supervising the work of the Bereavement Support Officers on the frontline. As our digital support continues to grow and develop, we are looking for someone to support and inspire the team in this expanding area, working closely with Sands’ Bereavement Support Digital Coordinator. The Bereavement Support Services Team offers 1-2-1 support via telephone, email and other digital channels, and is usually open from 10-3 from Monday to Friday and 6-9pm from Tuesday to Thursday with occasional extended opening hours. Support is also available through digital channels; our Online Community, direct messenger on Instagram and Facebook and various closed groups on Facebook which need to be regularly monitored and moderated to provide a safe, user-led space accessible to all. In future a wider range of channels may be used. There are three Bereavement Support Leads (BSLs) including this post holder, and between them they are expected to cover all regular opening hours on a rota basis. Each shift will start 30 minutes before the helpline opens and end 30 minutes after the helpline closes, and BSLs will divide up the week in order to be present during shifts and ensure at least one BSL or the Head of BSS is available to the team 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and 5.30pm-9.30pm Tuesday to Thursday for safeguarding and general support. The role will be split between operational management of the BSS team, line management of BSSOs, supporting and contributing to other strands of bereavement support work, as well as some direct work on all of the support channels.

About the role

This is an opportunity to join our charity in the role of 1-1 Advocacy Team leader.

You will be responsible for leading our 1-1 advocacy team, supporting a small team of advocates to deliver a range of advocacy to adults and young people with learning disabilities.

You will oversee delivery of casework, referral management and monitoring, ensuring Speak Out advocates provide high quality support within a framework of good advocacy practice.

You will also hold a case load supporting people across the service to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.

Our 1-1 advocacy service is tailored to meet individual needs, offering the following support:

· Community issue advocacy - advocacy cases cover a range of issues, including accessing social care and health services, housing issues, wellbeing and relationships.

· Specialist advocacy – support for parents with learning disabilities going through child protection proceedings and for young people with learning disabilities in transition to adulthood.

· Statutory advocacy – advocacy case work under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act (RPPR)

· Drop-in advocacy service - immediate, short term 1-1 advocacy is available during weekly drop-in sessions at our central base in Brighton

Location: Homebased, Warrington. However, frequent travel across the area will be required as part of this role

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Work alongside people affected by stroke with communication difficulties to plan and work towards recovery outcomes that are important to them, including secondary prevention needs.
• Enable stroke survivors and where appropriate family members/carers to develop independence and confidence in the use of tools and strategies to support communication.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
• Work collaboratively with Warrington NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference to the lives of people affected by stroke.

About You

You will:

• Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities.
• Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
• Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs.
• Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system.

This role requires the post holder to travel throughout Warrington to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
