JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate the Trust’s health programmes within leading children’s hospitals, and education programmes within schools across the UK.
Our Children’s Hospital One-to-One Mentoring Programme offers patients aged 11 to 18 years old an exceptional experience through receiving one to one mentoring from our world class Athlete Mentors and through accessing online materials. The programme supports young people who are or have been seriously ill, and or injured patients with their physical and mental wellbeing whilst they are receiving care as in or outpatients at hospital.
Our Education Programmes help young people build healthy relationships in school and with the wider community, and understand the importance of physical and mental wellness. With a strong focus on their own personal development, it promotes positive behaviours and attitudes, and sets them up to achieve in education, work and life.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating our One-to-One Mentoring programmes in hospitals, supporting young people to sign up (with their guardian), and linking them with their athlete mentor. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with hospital staff to ensure a steady flow of referrals and to ensure we provide the best possible experience and outcomes for patients who join our programme.
- Coordinating schools-based programmes, liaising with participating schools, supporting young people’s registration, and working with our athlete mentors to ensure smooth delivery.
The role would suit someone who has a proven track record of coordinating multi stakeholder youth programmes (ideally within/or in partnership with the health and/or education sector) and who is compassionate and willing to go the extra mile to provide an exceptional experience for patients (and guardians), and young people.
As a key member of the Trust’s team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all of our team including alongside our world class Athlete Mentors. We are a close, supportive and innovative team, who want to see all our employees fulfil their potential.
While the role is home-based, the post holder will be required to attend some in person meetings across the UK, including at children’s hospitals and visiting schools.
Responsibilities
- Build lasting relationships with hospital staff to facilitate referrals and provide a seamless onboarding journey for patients and guardians.
- Work closely with patients and guardians to provide a smooth process and caring environment as they move through the programme.
- Build lasting relationships with schools and lead teachers to facilitate the smooth running of the schools-based programme
- Provide a structured and supportive environment for athlete mentors to operate in including writing briefing documents and checking in.
- Supporting with gathering case studies from patients, guardians, athletes, teachers and hospital staff

- Ensure programmes are delivered on budget, keeping a track of day to day spend.

We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.
The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.
The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services.
The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
This is an exciting time to join Girls Not Brides as we are currently in the process of reviewing our strategy for the next 5 years. The Senior Officer- Executive Office plays a vital role in providing high-level strategic, operational and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is central to the smooth functioning of the CEO’s office, enabling the CEO to focus on leading the organisation effectively and with impact. In addition to supporting the CEO directly, the Senior Officer- Executive Office will also play a key role in facilitating the CEO’s engagement with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. This includes contributing to strategic planning, project coordination, internal communications, and leadership governance processes.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a Senior Officer- Executive Office with strong experience supporting CEOs, senior leaders and Boards. You will be proactive and independent: an instinctive problem-solver with experience in designing and deploying easy-to-use systems and processes to support effective communication and project delivery within and beyond senior leadership, the Board, and wider team members.
You will support leadership to prioritise projects and tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment. Strategic and Project Management

- Represent the CEO’s office in internal and external engagements with professionalism and confidentiality.

Governance and Leadership Coordination
- In close collaboration with the Director of Operations and Finance, support the Board recruitment process, including conducting due diligence, managing conflict of interest declarations, and ensuring robust compliance and documentation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential experience
- A minimum of 7 years extensive professional experience in a similar role working directly with a high-performing leadership team and Board.
- Significant experience managing Board and governance processes, documentation, and communication flows.
- Strong track record in internal communications processes for diverse, multi-cultural teams.
- Advanced level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Exceptional and demonstratable experience with or knowledge of project management tools/ software and management systems and procedures.

This role is a comprehensive HR Business Partner position responsible for aligning HR strategy with the operational and strategic goals of Hestia. The postholder will work closely with designated client groups to support organisational change, including restructures, TUPE processes, and the implementation of new services. A key aspect of the role is coaching and supporting line managers to lead inclusively and in alignment with the organisation's values, as well as helping embed learning and development initiatives across teams. The role also champions Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), wellbeing, and reward and benefits.
The role involves providing expert HR guidance on employee relations and employment law, particularly in complex or sensitive cases. This includes managing issues such as conduct, performance, absence, grievances, and whistleblowing. As a member of the Resolution Hub, the HR Business Partner also leads mediation and conflict resolution efforts. The role ensures that HR practices are legally compliant and reflective of Hestia's values, collaborating with other departments to continually improve and align the people strategy.
In addition, the postholder oversees wellbeing and benefits initiatives, maintaining internal platforms and working with third-party providers. They use data to monitor engagement and uptake, guiding improvements and equipping managers with the tools to support staff effectively. The role also includes project management responsibilities, such as vendor transitions and scheme enhancements, to strengthen Hestia's overall employee value proposition.
The HR Business Partner will also take a lead in business change processes, ensuring due diligence during TUPE and structural changes, while facilitating smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences for staff. Externally, they may represent the organisation as the main HR contact. Data analysis and reporting are essential, with the postholder tracking key HR metrics and contributing to both internal and external reports, such as those for the Charity Commission.
Finally, the role involves supporting broader HR functions, including recruitment and HR operations, as well as chairing and coordinating team meetings. There is a strong emphasis on contributing to and leading EDI and anti-racism strategies, supporting internal network groups, and collaborating with Hestia's recognised trade union, Unison. This is a dynamic and impactful role that requires strategic insight, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, values-led approach to HR.

Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate for this role will bring substantial experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally gained in a fast-paced, change-driven environment. They will have led on key people-focused areas such as wellbeing, reward, and benefits, and possess a strong background in managing complex HR issues. With at least 5 to 7 years of experience in HR Business Partnering or as an HR Manager, they will be adept at supporting organisational change and driving strategic people initiatives.
They will be fully CIPD qualified, preferably to Level 7, and demonstrate a deep knowledge of employment law. Their experience will include leading TUPE transfers, managing restructures, and handling redundancy and consultation processes. The role requires someone with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, who can build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders while offering challenge and support when necessary.
Attention to detail, strong numeracy, and excellent written English are all essential. The candidate will also need to be IT literate and comfortable working with data. A sound understanding of safeguarding is required, and prior experience working in the charity or public sector would be advantageous.

What the job involves
We’re looking for an exceptional nurse to join the Specialist Nurses team at Prostate Cancer UK, part of our wider Support Services team that helps men and their loved ones to navigate the challenges of prostate cancer.
First and foremost, you’ll be providing invaluable information and support directly to men and their families via a range of channels, including telephone, email, webchat, and WhatsApp.
You’ll also work with other teams across the charity, ensuring that Prostate Cancer UK maintains a strong, credible clinical voice in all its activity. This will range from supporting men through webinars and classes, to delivering education sessions to health professionals, to reviewing health information resources, to supporting communications campaigns.

You’ll be working Monday – Friday, with a hybrid working model. The service runs predominantly remotely, but periodical office attendance for collaborative work is expected.
Current daily shift patterns are 8.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 5.15pm. The appointee will need to be available 8.45am – 5.15pm daily, as shift patterns are allocated based on service requirements.
What we want from you
You’ll be a registered nurse with solid experience at NHS Band 6, including recent work in either urology, oncology or palliative care looking after men with prostate cancer. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your work effectively and flexibly. You’ll also be flexible and adaptable to meet the complex demands of this role. You’ll show willingness and proactivity to step away from frontline service delivery to support a range of wider charity activity. You’ll also be comfortable with remote working, both in terms of delivering information and support over the phone and working in a remote team.
As a Specialist Nurse, you’ll be committed, enthusiastic and compassionate – keen to apply your existing clinical experience and knowledge to provide information and support to those affected by prostate cancer and have the desire to develop new skills.
