Main Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections of the premises to identify and fix maintenance issues, such as leaks or breakages
- Keep an itinerary of tools and jobs
- Manage supply inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Carry out cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping and dusting, to ensure the premises are kept clean and tidy
- Conduct minor repair work, including fixing broken locks, replacing light bulbs and carrying out basic plumbing work
- Monitor the property’s security systems and respond to alarms or potential threats
- Manage waste disposal and recycling activities
- Maintain outdoor areas, such as gardens and parking lots, including pruning shrubs and removing snow or debris
- Coordinate with professional repair services and contractors when required
- Ensure compliance with heath and safety regulations – Fire drills, Gas checks etc

As Digital Support Services Officer, you’ll help ensure that people affected by blood cancer can access reliable information and peer support through a range of digital platforms. You’ll lead the day-to-day running of our online community forum, support and coordinate volunteers, and work across teams to help develop and improve our support offer. About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.
Key Objectives for this Role
Working with the Lead Youth Worker you will:
Homework Clubs
•Collect up to date consent information for all young people joining Future Foundations
•Support with creating session plans for club nights
•Research and source necessary resources activities
•Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for the young people
•Use participatory methods to involve young people about Clubs
•Ensure children’s participation and encourage ownership of and responsibility for the Clubs
•Implement our behaviour management policy
•Liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding Clubs and Mentoring
•Support with maintaining robust recording and monitoring systems (including registers) and ensure quotes, case studies and feedback are saved and stored

The role:
This key role will add substantial grant-making and strategic capacity to the AFF team, which currently consists of 7 people reporting to the Director of A Fairer Future. The role will take on existing relationships in the form of a portfolio of organisations at various points in their funding journey. Key Responsibilities
As Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Project and administrative support:
- Assisting the Project Manager with coordinating project logistics, including scheduling, booking spaces, and organising refreshments.
- Updating project budgets and submitting invoices to the Bookkeeper.
- Supporting the Project Manager in planning and delivering performances, exhibitions, and events.
- Managing the materials inventory and sourcing environmentally friendly resources for workshops.
- Project promotion and participant engagement:
- Helping to manage communication with participants and partners.
- Assisting with volunteer coordination.
- Supporting participant recruitment efforts for projects.
- Helping to raise Magic Me’s profile by sharing images and stories for social media content.
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting:
- Assisting the Project Manager with data collection for project feedback and ensuring continuous learning.
- Supporting the programme and development teams with preparing reports for funders and internal use.
- Assisting with reporting by keeping accurate records of participant engagement and feedback.
- Administration and team collaboration:
- Undertaking general administration tasks related to project activities.
- Supporting the wider Magic Me team through the management of Petty Cash (training for Xero will be provided).
- Participating in training and development opportunities to deepen knowledge and prepare for a future career pathway within Magic Me.

Our Offer & Benefits
- Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, pro rata.
- Holiday: 25 days and bank holidays (pro-rata) + days between Christmas & New Year. Additionally, we are trialling an additional week of leave during August 2024 and 2025, which may be offered in 2026 if successful.

GUCE Programme Lead Role
Community Energy is gaining momentum nationally, where people are increasingly coming together to take control of their own energy. Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE, pronounced “juice”) is looking to see local communities along the Grand Union canal in Hertfordshire enjoy a clean and resilient energy system that benefits all. We develop, support and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for communities from Watford to Tring, and build householder resilience by helping them reduce their bills and energy use.
We are seeking a Programme Lead for two days a week to manage the day-to-day running of the team and organisation and keep us on track as we navigate an exciting time of growth and development - supporting us to fulfil our overall objectives. Depending on the skills of the applicant the same individual could also cover aspects of other roles we are looking to fill.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a person to take on a key role in GUCE’s small but expanding team. The Programme Lead will be responsible creating a structure and policies for GUCE to grow and hit our mission.
As our Programme Lead you will play a leading role in delivering our contribution to the two-year National Lottery funded project ‘Community Energy People’.
Key responsibilities will include:

Terms and Conditions
Salary: Pro-rated salary for 2 days per week, £13,000 to £20,000 per annum (£34,000 to £51,000 full time equivalent) depending on experience plus 3% pension contribution.
Hours: Average 2 days per week (15 hours). The working hours can be flexible.
Location: Home-working, ideally within the GUCE catchment area from Watford to Tring.
You will need to travel to meet stakeholders, attend relevant meetings and visit potential sites. You may be called upon to work outside office hours. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered and the job holder would be expected to provide their own method of travel.
Contractual arrangements: 12 months fixed term with the option to extend, subject to 3 months’ probation.
There is a notice period of four weeks from both sides
Holidays: The equivalent of 28 days per annum excluding Bank Holidays, pro-rata for the part-time nature of the post.
