Senior Programme Manager (Part-time Contract)

The Role:

This is an exciting 15-month contract opportunity for a Senior Programme Manager with experience in participatory/community arts who is passionate about driving impactful change and fostering intergenerational connections within an evolving, inclusive organisation. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless continuity and high-quality delivery of our respected intergenerational and care home arts programme during a period of organisational evolution.

Role Details:

• Location: Bethnal Green, E2, East London. Hybrid working negotiable (the role requires office working for key delivery activities and supporting programme team colleagues).

• Salary: £44,000 per annum, pro rata (equivalent to £26,640 for 3 days per week)

• Reporting to: Creative Director (Co-CEO)

• Contract Duration: 15 Months (January 2026 - March 2027)

• Working Hours: 3 days per week (21 hours)

You are an experienced programme leader, comfortable taking comprehensive ownership of an artistic programme that includes multiple projects across diverse contexts. Driven by a strong passion for co-creation, you bring significant expertise from senior project management or producer roles within the participatory/community arts sector. You excel at cultivating strong, authentic relationships with community and non-arts organisations, artists, and participants. With a proven track record in socially engaged practice and direct line management, you are adept at navigating changing environments and possess excellent communication skills that build and maintain vital connections. Your dedication to Magic Me’s mission and the transformative power of intergenerational arts is clearly evident.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

• Programme oversight & leadership: Provide oversight of the full year creative programme, ensuring high quality delivery and the effective integration of individual projects. Collaborate on the design and management of the overall programme budget and manage staff and artist capacity.

• Team leadership & mentorship: Line-manage two Project Managers, fostering a supportive environment and prioritizing their development. Provide direct mentorship to a designated Project Manager as part of Magic Me's internal succession plan for the SPM role.

• Project practice & frameworks: Take responsibility for implementing effective ways of working for the Programme Team. Oversee project evaluation and ensure evaluation practice adheres to the ACE Impact & Insight framework.

• Partnership & artist relationships: Nurture key partner and artist relationships and oversee the Project Managers' portfolios of key relationships. Identify, engage, and establish potential arts and non-arts partners and participants for the 26/27 programme.

The Offer:

The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children's Hospital Charity, are seeking a talented individual to join our ambitious fundraising team as the Events Manager. You’ll be experienced in event management, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask. You’ll work across fundraising teams to engage our incredible supporters through specific events including Wrong Trousers Day, Great Bristol Run, Grand Walk, and other stewardship and engagement events.

Camp Jojo is currently in transition. Over the first 8 years it has worked from one established site in Mersea, Essex; but we are now opening a second site (Nag’s Head Farm) near Appleby in Cumbria. The role of Volunteer Manager (Nags Head Farm) is to provide the management and administration of the key Volunteer sector of Camp Jojo, and to offer administrative support and feedback to members of the Camp Jojo Board in this regard.

The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for successful initial contact, recruitment, communication with and administration of volunteer for the Nag’s Head Farm camps, through to their successful placement at camp. They will also work closely with the Operations Manager: Families and Site Ops. (Nags Head Farm). They will be guided in their role with the existing managers at Ivy Farm, Mersea, Essex.

The primary task of the Volunteer Manager (Nag’s Head Farm) will be to oversee the whole process of Volunteer applications to camps at Nag’s Head Farm, and to maintain and develop databases in support of this. They will be the contact point for information and support throughout the Nag’s Head Farm volunteers’ pathway with Camp Jojo. In addition, they will attend and minute meetings which concern volunteer management, etc.

They may need to work flexibly; the demands will be seasonal, with many more hours needed through spring and summer than autumn and winter. They will also need to be present for the first day of the camps during the summer, which are mostly during the school holidays. The Volunteer Manager (Nag’s Head Farm) will have a varied and sometimes high-paced job environment. As such, they will need to handle multiple tasks, manage their own time well, and interact professionally

ROLE

An exciting role focused on growing and supporting the range of events that take place in Bridge 5 Mill, being first point of contact with potential hirers of our events spaces, supporting our community of tenants and users, and supporting  Bridge 5 Mill’s day to day operations, including reception, marketing and social media. 

BACKGROUND

Bridge 5 Mill is a centre of social change in a historic 5 storey mill on the edge of Ancoats / Northern Quarter, comprising workspaces and event spaces. Our unique sustainable and ethical approach characterises our building and drives all our activities. Bridge 5 Mill is part of a family of organisations (part of the Fairfield Environment Trust, a registered charity) including the Kindling Trust, promoting ecological and social justice through a broad range of projects. 

We have just fixed our broken lift. This is great news, as the period without a lift had a significant impact on our community of tenants, wider users and on our income from venue hire (with far fewer events able to take place during this time). This came on the tail of the Covid pandemic, which transformed how and when people use workspaces and events spaces. 

We are now at a pivotal time to rebuild both our events program and our offer as a beautiful, ethical and central venue to hire, as well as exploring how to diversify our services. You will be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our activities and in overcoming these  recent challenges.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a small dedicated team to help us deliver our vision. Alongside the Building Manager, your role will cover day to day operations, reception, events and marketing. You will be central to supporting events and our hirers, promoting our social change vision, and making Bridge 5 Mill a thriving community hub. We are looking for someone with experience of managing or promoting events, excellent interpersonal skills, energy and leadership.

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE

Events and community building duties;

• First point of contact for enquiries about events or from potential hirers
• Liaise with hirers and event facilitators
• Build events collaborations and partners
• Assist with event setup and management
• Plan and deliver community, social change and revenue generating events
• Build a network with similar spaces in Manchester to strengthen collaborations

We're looking for a very capable Finance Manager to join us. This is a varied and rewarding finance role at the heart of a small, friendly and ambitious charity working to improve the lives of people with eczema. Please see the recruitment pack for more information, including full job description.

To be successful, you'lll need to be proactive and enjoy working in a small team. The role involves a high degree of delegated responsibility and autonomy, and you're expected to manage your workload effectively within your functional remit.

The post-holder is responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Society’s finance and CRM operations, including the National Eczema Society membership scheme. This is a full-time sole-charge role, managing the processing side of charity’s finance function, including managing purchase and sales ledgers, preparing payment runs, managing supplier reconciliations and month-end tasks.

You would join our small team based at the charity’s offices near London Bridge. There is flexibility for some home-based working and you are expected to work in the office at least two days a week to facilitate effective team-working. National Eczema Society offers help for staff studying for accounting exams.

At National Eczema Society (NES) we are passionate about making life better for people with eczema in the UK and their families. As a small and agile charity, we punch above our weight and have big ambitions. In the UK, around 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults live with eczema, so lots of people are looking to our charity for support and hope.

Our mission is to empower people to live well with eczema and bring about positive change for our eczema community. We do this by providing expert information and advice needed to manage eczema well. What you’ll do:

This is a varied role that blends strategic leadership, quality oversight and hands-on expertise. You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the I&A service, ensuring it meets the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and delivers consistently excellent outcomes.

• Supporting and mentoring staff and volunteers, creating a collaborative and high-performing culture.

• Acting as safeguarding lead for the service.

• Driving continuous improvement in systems, policies and practice.

• Building strong relationships with funders, commissioners and partners, demonstrating the impact of our work.

• Occasionally taking on complex cases yourself, using your expertise to guide both the team and the clients we support.

• Experience leading or managing advice services (welfare benefits, housing, health & social care or similar).

• Excellent people skills: you’ll enjoy coaching and developing others, and you’ll know how to get the best from both staff and volunteers.

• The ability to represent ACWG confidently with funders and partners.

Summary of the role:

The Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager will oversee the development of existing high-net (HNW) donors and pipeline new high-net prospects. You will work closely with key Third Party supporters to establish our presence nationally.

A key part of their role will be to strategise to identify high-net donors and foster long term relationships so Muslim Aid is their charity of choice.

You will also work closely with fundraising and supporter services to organise tactical, innovative, bespoke and strategic events to meet the requirements of high-net donors and maximise major gifts like no other.

About the Role:

1. Develop a three-year high-net donor strategy with stakeholders that drives long-term sustainable revenue and year on year growth.
2. Develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to maintain engagement, retention and increase revenue with existing and prospective donors that supports our organisational strategy.
3. Develop a full Philanthropy & Legacy system to review fundraising forecasts, review progress and implement quarterly tactical activation plans to recover potential losses.
4. Conduct market and internal analysis to identify novel funding prospects. Use innovative thinking to devise creative fundraising strategies and solve problems as they arise.
5. Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy, aligning with our overarching objectives and CSR initiatives. Manage the budget to ensure maximum ROI on fundraising activities.
6. Incorporate legal and regulatory standard into all fundraising activities design/delivery.

About You:

You must currently hold the right to work in the UK. Muslim Aid is not offering sponsorship for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Significant experience in fundraising, corporate relationship and/or high-net donor development.
2. Proven track record in implementing corporate / business / high-net donor strategy and achieving challenging targets.
3. Experience in public speaking and presenting information to executive level audiences.
4. Knowledge of a wide range of fundraising mechanisms including CRM, sponsorship, brand association and employee fundraising.
5. Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
6. Highly developed negotiation skills.
