The Role
What will I be doing?
As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. We are looking for an organised, resilient individual who can work without close supervision.
Duties include:
- Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings
- Responding to a wide range of enquiries from internation and external contacts
- Conducting initial reviews of degree accreditation applications
Projects you work on may include:
- Development and delivery of assessor training
- Supporting the development of a course endorsement scheme
- Assisting with the enhancement of doctoral training accreditation

- Senior academics in physics departments and university quality offices
- IOP members who volunteer their time to support degree accreditation and professional registration

The Work Rights Centre, in partnership with the LEF Fellowship Programme, is looking for a Trainee Solicitor to join our ambitious and driven team. We are a charity set up by migrants and for migrants, and every day our multilingual team of legal advisers stand up for their employment rights and secure their immigration status.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong sense of justice, who is looking to build a career in a legal profession. This role will suit someone who values impact, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable migrant workers and disadvantaged Britons.
You will be able to learn from three experienced solicitors, exercise your skills as an adviser, and progress your career in a friendly and supportive environment. The LEF Fellowship Programme will cover the cost of your mandatory legal training and exams. By the end of two years you will have had the chance to complete your SQE training and gain the required practical experience to fully qualify as a solicitor.
The role
As the Trainee Solicitor, you’ll work on a stimulating range of issues across two wide areas of law - Immigration (in Year 1) and Employment (in Year 2). You will learn how best to support vulnerable clients with limited English language and digital skills, how to spot signs of modern slavery or manage safeguarding concerns.
Working with our immigration team, you will help clients understand and secure their immigration status in the UK. You will support clients who have limited leave to remain (e.g. on employer-sponsored visas, Ukraine Visa Schemes, or pre-settled EUSS status) or who are entirely undocumented. Working with our employment team, you will work on cases involving non-payment of wages, non-provision of work, unlawful deductions, race and gender discrimination, or unfair dismissals. Crucially, you will have the opportunity to understand the real-life intersection of the two areas of law, as they are often experienced by the same clients.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain well-rounded experience across all stages of the legal process, including interviewing clients, collecting information and assessing evidence, taking down witness statements, providing over the phone and written advice, and collating evidence bundles.
Alongside your legal work and SQE2 study, you will complete an independent social justice project aligned with your personal interests and objectives of the charity. This might entail legal research, sourcing strategic cases, or compiling data on the impact of the current policies. Working on this project will give you an opportunity to conduct strategic legal work contributing to systemic change.

As an unqualified, inexperienced independent multi-disciplinary advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. You will receive training in the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. We are looking for an experienced Director to help us lead the transition from one strategy to the next in 2026 by leading our financial planning and reporting, together with our people first culture. The role of Director of Finance and Resources is central to almost every area of our work. You will be responsible for:

· IT and premises.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the post holder will be able to work strategically, autonomously and collaboratively as a critical member of the Senior Leadership Team which consists of this role and a Director of Research & Advocacy, Director of Fundraising, and Director of Communications. You will have responsibility for working with the Board and managing the Finance Committee, People & Culture Committee and Remuneration Committee. The post holder will consistently embody our values of bold, curious and collaborative in their strategic leadership of the Directorate.
You will be able to step into the role quickly, already being experienced in senior financial leadership alongside oversight of other support functions. Your background could be within the charity sector or other dynamic organisations, and you will bring a real drive to be part of making something great! The role mixes strategic oversight with hands-on doing as is usual in smaller organisations, and you will be comfortable balancing these ways of working.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Qualified accountant.
- Successful track record in leading a finance function, ideally in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
- Previous experience in managing external audit, risk management, payroll, pension, and procurement functions.
- Successful track record in line management, building teams and engaging working climates, where staff are motivated, performing to a high standard and engaged.
- Experience building an inclusive culture and creating workplace systems and processes in line with this culture.
- Evidence of working with board members and other senior management to help deliver strategic objectives, good governance and financial priorities.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Winchester.
Working closely with the prison and their staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising peer opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and possess personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based, working 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday. As part of our vision for growth we are looking to recruit a Youth and Families Worker to help our work with young people and families. We are looking for someone who will share our enthusiasm to reach out with the Gospel and with God's love, to develop our outreach through Messy Church and other activities and to find new ways to worship which will include all generations.
As our Youth and Families Worker you will be at the heart of our outreach with young people and families.

What you'll be doing:
You will assist with development of activities for young people and the establishment of a youth outreach programme
You will assist in the development of Messy Church
You will work with the existing leaders of Messy Church (for families) to increase the opportunities for engagement, for example through holiday projects, after-school club activities or in Fresh Expressions (such as Forest Church)
You will plan and enable intergenerational social activities
You will develop relationships with children and families and provide a pastoral ear for connected families
You will build effective relationships with local schools
You will help develop “Vintage Messy Church” activities for older people which will lead to active participation in the worshipping community
You will participate in, and occasionally lead, Sunday worship and other aspects of Church life
In due course you will seek funding to sustain (and even grow) the outreach
You will share in other tasks as may be agreed between you and the Pastoral Support Group as opportunities arise
Outline Terms and Conditions
1. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure and the taking up of no more than two satisfactory references.
2. Appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
3. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance (subject to the probationary period noted above),
4. The hours of work will be 20 hours per week, flexible by need and negotiation. It is anticipated that evening and weekend working will be part of the role, along with the main Christian festivals.
5. The Salary will be £15 per hour, paid monthly by arrangement.
6. Paid holidays – 25 days per year pro rata plus public holidays
7. The post is based at the Old Meeting URC. The person appointed will be required to travel in the local area and will also be able to work from home by agreement.
