About this exciting opportunity

Our successful candidate will provide operational management and effective leadership to a team of Financial Wellbeing Coaches (FWCs) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales.

We will count on you to set performance objectives and monitor progress – ensuring compliance with contractual performance indicators and quality improvement, and to monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance.

This key role will also involve managing partnerships, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, and managing and coordinating allocated resources, including volunteers and spot purchase funds.  Ensuring there is a safe and trusting working environment for staff and working closely with other St Giles Wise Managers to ensure consistency of approach and sharing of best practice are also key duties.

• Experience of working in, or managing, services supporting challenging people

• Experience working in or managing multi-agency partnerships working towards common objectives 

• Hold a relevant qualification, or be able to provide evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice 

• Sound understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload 

• Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, guidance codes of practice and industry standards

About Migrateful

Migrateful is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity founded in 2017. Our mission is to support refugees and migrants facing barriers to employment and integration in the UK by offering training, paid work, and a supportive community.

Our chefs come from diverse backgrounds, often shaped by displacement, modern slavery, or gender-based violence. Through our programme, they train to lead cookery classes for the public and corporate groups, helping them build confidence, improve English skills, and gain meaningful work experience.

Since 2017, we’ve supported over 110 chefs to deliver 5,000+ classes to 55,000 participants—creating more than 30,000 hours of purposeful employment and community connection.

About the Role

The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations. 

You’ll play the important role of supporting Facilitators by creating practical guides, coordinating training and skills-sharing sessions, gathering feedback, and maintaining up-to-date documentation such as health and safety records. 

Alongside this, you’ll help manage other key areas of Operations like responding to customer and volunteer queries, coordinating volunteers for public and corporate classes, and supporting process improvements around our use of Salesforce.

A key deliverable of this role is overseeing our invoicing process. You’ll be responsible for bi-weekly checks to ensure timely and accurate payments to our cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and teachers (Chefs). You’ll also support improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes.

Person specification

This role would suit a proactive, organised, collaborative individual who enjoys variety in their work. You’ll need to be confident using systems, have a keen eye for detail, and take satisfaction in improving processes.

Essential

• Experience working in an operations, administrative or coordination role 
• Good attention to detail particularly in handling data, documents and financial information
• Confident engaging with a wide range of people from staff, freelancers and customers

Invoicing

The Role

The organisation supports local areas to use evidence to improve their services and outcomes for children and families. The Practice Development Officer will be part of a team who work with local leaders to support their decision making about how to increase the availability of services and approaches which have evidence of improving child outcomes.

As Practice Development Officer, you will support work that helps local services for children and families use evidence more effectively across Family Hubs, Family Help, and statutory social work. We are looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of UK policy, legislation and practice relating to children’s services, including how this responds to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

You will have experience of:

• Practice in children’s social work and/or early intervention services
• Co-ordinating projects for service improvement or practice development in a relevant sector, for example local authority children’s services, health, or NHS
• Translating complex information into practical messages, advice, and tools.

We are seeking a Research Officer to support a series of user-led research projects exploring:

• Access to social care and support

• Healthcare access and inequalities

• Sexual health and relationships for people with neuromuscular conditions

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, lived-experience research that aims to improve quality of life and influence national policy and practice.

You will work closely with the CEO, Research Manager, and members of our lived experience research advisory group. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the research cycle — from design to dissemination — and will ensure that our research is ethical, inclusive, and grounded in co-production principles.

Key Responsibilities

Research Design & Ethics

• Support the design of research studies in collaboration with the lived experience team and academic partners.

• Support the preparation of ethics applications, participant information sheets, and consent materials.

• Develop interview schedules, focus group guides, and surveys.

Participant Engagement

• Recruit participants through Pathfinders’ network, social media, and partner organisations.

• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in participant communication and data collection.

Essential

For more than 33 years, Refugee Support Group (RSG) has stood alongside refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants across Berkshire.

RSG began as a community social group for refugees and asylum seekers with members offering each other moral support and advice. We have proudly grown from a small volunteer group into a respected charity providing legal advice, casework, and resettlement support for people rebuilding their lives in a new country.

Leading RSG

This is a leadership role for someone who can combine strategic vision with operational and financial focus, and who understands both the complexity and the humanity of our mission.

You will:

• Lead, empower and support our talented staff and volunteers with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
• Shape and deliver a bold, forward-looking strategy that balances growth, advocacy and sustainability.
• Bring strong financial and commercial acumen and have experience in leading organisational change and delivering results in complex or resource-constrained environments.
• Have a successful track record of fundraising and income growth.
• Act as the public face of RSG, building relationships with funders, local authorities, government departments and networks.
• Champion the rights and dignity of refugees and asylum seekers.

About you

You will bring a strong track record of leadership and income generation, ideally from within the charity or public sector, but this is not a prerequisite. You will be an excellent communicator who can influence and inspire internally, externally and publicly.

Above all, you will bring authenticity, resilience and compassion, with the ability to lead through complexity and change.

Lived experience or prior experience of working closely with refugee and migrant communities is welcomed, but not essential. What is essential is that you will be passionate about supporting refugees and that you are driven by a deep belief in inclusion, justice and human dignity.

The Heaney Hub Cluster is an intensive supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the Kensington & Chelsea. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high-support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24-hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues. The Assessment Centre is staffed 24/7.
The hostels are in close proximity to each other, and staff will be expected to work across the units. Three of the hostels supports both male and female customers and one is males only.

Heaney Hub implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

Support Workers will devise person centred support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign-posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

The team comprises of Therapist, Move on coordinator, Housing Officer, 16 support workers, 2 Team Leaders, One Project Manager.

The role requires one to work on a shift pattern:7.45am to 3.45pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or experience within charity/social care sector

Relevant experience in supporting those experiencing homelessness and people with complex needs

Barnardo's is seeking to recruit two Project Worker 2's who will support the delivery of the Ubuntu project across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas (Please refer to the linked additional information sheet containing more info).

Ubuntu "I am because you are" or “Humanity towards others” is an exciting new project delivered by Barnardo's.  Thanks to National Lottery players, Barnardo's has received over £4.5 million over four years from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. The funding will be used to develop regional support networks for families arrived seeking sanctuary across Northern Ireland; Scotland and Hertfordshire. The project aims to empower young voices from a refugee and asylum-seeking background and create sustainable community support.

This is a hybrid role working across the locality of Hertfordshire and surrounding areas with an ability to travel across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas essential. A central base location is to be confirmed upon appointment.  It will also require occasional evening and weekend work.
