The Opportunity
We're looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser to help us grow our network of corporate supporters who share our vision of a greener future. Reporting to our Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you'll be the welcoming face of the Forest for local and regional businesses; from managing existing partnerships to identifying exciting new prospects. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Membership Manager, the Corporate Membership Officer – Commercial Relationships and Fulfilment will:
- Manage and grow relationships with corporate and university members.
- Drive new partnerships, membership sales, and sponsorship opportunities, with clear revenue targets, while maintaining strong long-term relationships with existing members.
- Identify and convert opportunities that enhance IWA’s profile and support membership growth.
This is a dynamic role for a confident, articulate account manager who thrives on building relationships. The successful candidate will combine strong customer service skills with proven B2B sales and account management experience, excellent time-management/organisation, cultural awareness and sensitivity when working across regions, and excellent communication abilities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management
- Act as the dedicated account manager for IWA’s portfolio of over 400 corporate and university members.
- Deliver expert advice, support, and engagement to maximise member value.
- Manage the end-to-end membership cycle (prospecting → onboarding → renewal), ensuring timely renewals and accurate CRM record-keeping.
Business Development
- Drive growth by identifying and securing new members, sponsors, and revenue opportunities.
- Own and report on a personal sales pipeline; meet or exceed agreed sales/retention targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant services to both new and existing members.
- Promote IWA by developing a network of influential contacts within political, economic, social, and water sector communities.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including membership engagement, marketing, and IT teams to deliver the corporate membership strategy.
- Manage member queries and administrative processes, including billing and invoicing coordination, in line with the company’s SLA guidelines.
- Ensure a seamless client journey from prospecting to onboarding and retention.
- Represent IWA at events (where required), both within the UK and internationally, to promote membership and build commercial relationships.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a persuasive communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Have proven success in B2B new-business sales (meeting or exceeding targets) and account retention.
- Be an experienced account manager, confident in engaging senior business leaders.
- Demonstrate the ability to research, identify, and approach decision-makers independently.
- Bring marketing skills, with experience using diverse channels to attract and retain members.
- Have professional CRM experience (required), ideally with Salesforce (strongly preferred).
- Possess strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

- Ideally, have experience within a membership body, or charity organisation.

Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Relations).
- A Master’s degree in a similar area would be plus.
- Formal training and certification in sales and account management (preferably Salesforce Administrator) would be a strong benefit.
Experience Required
- 3+ years’ work experience in sales and account management.
- Experience working in membership associations and/or international organisations would be a strong benefit.

This role will be a key part of our fundraising team, managing a portfolio of trust and foundations with the capacity to give up to £25,000 and the opportunity to assist with major grant funding bids which will enable us to drive forward our ambitious goals.

What will I be doing?
As Project Officer, Workforce Partnerships, you’ll be part of the Education and Workforce team, supporting our mission to build a strong, diverse physics workforce for the future. Your work will help leverage our evidence and insights to identify and develop institutional partnerships through which we can deliver sustainable impact against our Skills priorities.
You will also take a lead in celebrating the crucial role of physics-related technical talent in the workplace through operational administration of our flagship Technical Skills Awards.
You’ll support the delivery of projects, working closely with colleagues across the organisation, IOP Members and external stakeholders.
Projects and activities you may work on include:
- Supporting stakeholder mapping and engagement activities to drive impactful new partnership development.

Over 100,000 visitors come to the Cathedral each year and our Cathedral ‘community’ comprises thousands who feel close the Cathedral because of historical connection, the purchase of a brick in the 1950s, their membership of the worshipping congregations or staff and volunteers.
Reporting to:Chief Operating Officer.
Accountable to:The Chapter of Guildford Cathedral and the Guildford Cathedral Enterprises Management Board.
Hours and salary:Full time – 35 hours per week (flexibility is essential for this role and the hours worked are governed by the pattern of the events programme). The salary for the post is £45400.
What You'll Do:
Lead the Enterprise team to provide an outstanding level of service to events clients, visitors, including the families programme, and deliver excellence in the Café Restaurant franchise and the Shop. You will work enthusiastically as part of the Cathedral’s team of staff and volunteers to help deliver our vision.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role:

Events
- To direct the events team in organising the extensive events programme, maximise the spare capacity of the Cathedral building and the adjacent grounds, thereby generating income as required by the Cathedral budget.
- To be responsible for the execution of events, delegating to the Events Team and/or other Staff members as appropriate.
- To be on duty as part of the team rota delivering events.
Café Restaurant
- To ensure that the franchise delivers the requisite performance, in terms of quality and financial benefit to the Cathedral, as required by the contract between Guildford Cathedral Enterprises and the franchisee.
Management
- To be the line manager for the Enterprise team members, including Events Officer, Events Assistant, Shop Manager & Shop Assistant, Visitor Engagement Officer, and the Families Engagement Officer.
- To be the Cathedral point of contact for management issues related to the employees of the Café Restaurant franchisee.
- To attend Diary Management and Head of Department Meetings.
- To ensure all marketing and relevant information reaches the marketing team in a timely manner.
Shop
- To direct the Shop team to provide value for money in the Shop, delivering an excellent level of service to the community and a level of income required by the Cathedral budget.
Visitor Engagement & Families Programme
- To direct the Visitor Engagement Officer and Family Engagement Officer to deliver the wide programme of tours, concerts, and Family engagement days, broadening our visitor numbers and demographic and managing the outreach activities actively and effectively.

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.
· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.
Income generation
· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.
· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.
· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.
