We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.
• Conduct follow-up calls with guests where needed and track outcomes
• Support volunteers who are working on delivering Advice Services e.g triage volunteers and pathways volunteers
• Provide advice to the General Advice Service as and when required

Case Management

• Manage own caseload and work independently to support guests
• Use of Case Management System (AdvicePro) as well as Microsoft Office for communication and document production.
• Support with developing case studies and gathering guest feedback
• Collect statistical information as requested for reporting purposes.
• Feed into the development of monitoring reports for funders and other stakeholders

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;
• Ensure data protection regulations are adhered to, and that sensitive data is handled in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.
• Keep informed of new and changing legislation relevant to the post, and of local issues and policies
• Be committed to the aims, procedures and policies of Sufra’s advice service in every aspect of service delivery.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Children's Services Co-ordinator to lead on the delivery of our services for children and young people with additional needs (SEND). This includes an Afterschool Club, Weekend and School Holiday Playschemes/Teens sessions and evening youth groups.

​The role involves planning and delivering inclusive, engaging, and structured group sessions within a fun, safe, and supportive environment. You’ll be key in mentoring staff, ensuring quality service delivery and getting to know the children, young people and families we support.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Organisation

· Collaborate with the Team Leader to manage bookings and allocate places across sessions.

· Support with recruitment and line management of Group Leaders, Deputy Group Leaders, and sessional staff, working with the Head of Services and Talent Acquisition Manager.

· Develop creative, inclusive session plans in partnership with Group Leaders, ensuring activities meet the needs and interests of participants.

· Procure resources for sessions including sensory toys, arts and crafts materials, baking supplies, etc.

· Ensure session documentation and CRM records are accurately maintained.

· Maintain excellent communication with parents, carers, social workers, schools, and internal teams.

· Identify and coordinate training needs within the team, taking part in relevant professional development.

· Liaise with the Office Manager to ensure all spaces used are clean, safe, and hygienic.

· Work with the Marketing Manager to share impact stories, quotes, and photos (with appropriate consents).

Session Delivery & Quality

· Oversee the delivery of all sessions, ensuring they are age-appropriate, engaging, and meet the needs of young people with SEND.

· Supervise and coach staff during sessions, providing guidance on behaviour management and inclusion strategies.

· Ensure every session promotes fun, safety, and a sense of belonging.

· Support staff in session planning and resource management, ensuring spaces are left tidy and ready for the next use.

· Plan and coordinate meals/snacks for afterschool sessions, ensuring adherence to food hygiene standards.

· Foster independence in young people, supporting them to develop social, communication, and life skills.

· Provide hands-on support where needed, including personal care, eating and drinking, mobility, or emotional regulation.

· Implement a simple outcomes framework to measure impact and track progress.

Safeguarding, Incidents & Compliance

· Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed, maintaining a vigilant and proactive approach to child safety.

· Record all incidents and accidents using CPOMS and escalate urgent concerns appropriately to the Head of Services and Quality and/or CEO (Designated Safeguarding Lead).

It is an important time at Sophie Hayes Foundation. Our strategy ‘Sustainable Freedom from Modern Slavery’ has launched and the charity is in a period of exciting transformation. This role is essential for the delivery of the strategy and ensuring that survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation have access to the support and opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations, independence, and a positive future – with soaring numbers of referrals to the NRM and thousands more victims living in fear of a hostile environment, this has never been more important than now.

But we cannot do this work without funds. Alongside a small, friendly, and dedicated team, you will coordinate and deliver a range of fundraising activities.

About You

This role would suit someone looking for meaningful, creative, and varied work, in an enthusiastic and motivated team.

You may have started to build a career in charity fundraising, corporate business development, or related areas.

You may have gained some experience across multiple different types of fundraising and development such as grant applications; donor relationships; community events; or institutional bidding.

You may enjoy networking and relationship building; designing creative projects, bids, activities, and events; and also, be comfortable with data management via a CRM.

We would love a team member who is efficient, reliable, creative, enthusiastic and ready to get stuck in helping across our range of fundraising activities.

What You’ll Do

• Trusts & grants: Work with the Development & Communications Manager to write and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

• Scout for, build and maintain relationships with existing and new funders, donors, and partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.

• Events: Plan, organise and manage fundraising events, including overseeing event logistics, participant engagement and post-event follow up.

• Work with the Development & Communications team to generate new, innovative fundraising concepts and bring them to fruition.

• Manage the database of funders and donors and ensure contact is up to date.

• Support with monitoring and evaluation, including reports to funders

• Work closely with the communications team to ensure coordinate donor and external communications, and to contribute to our social media presence

• Identify roles and responsibilities that could be delegated to volunteers to maximise their support, supervising those assigned to you.

• Represent the Sophie Hayes Foundation with colleagues at meetings and events with external stakeholders. This may include deputising for more senior colleagues on occasion.

• Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding across all activities.

• Other duties which may arise under the implementation of the new strategy, as directed by the Development & Communications Manager.

Location: London, in office 3 days per week with occasional travel nationally - 2 days can be WfH

MediCinema is a leading and growing UK charity with a mission to improve the wellbeing of patients, their families and carers through the magic of the shared cinema experience. We do this by building and running  high specification cinemas in hospitals, bringing the magic of the silver screen to patients young and old, for free. Our work makes a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of people experiencing some of their most challenging times, and we are proud to work in close partnership with a growing number of hospitals to direclty benefit patient experience.

We have an ambitious growth plan in place for the charity to continue to maximise services at our current sites, to build new MediCinemas and expand services to new hospitals across the country ensuring nationwide reach and impact. This is an exciting time to join our dynamic charity and be a central part of our growth.

We are now looking to expand our Fundraising and Devlopment team in this newly created role. You will have relevant experience likely to have been gained over 1 to 3 years working in fundraising, supporter engagement, or a similar role within a charity or not-for-profit organisation. You must be confident using CRM systems such as Donorfy or similar, and in writing donor communications. Our team is passionate about the work we do and it is crucial that you have a genuine interest in the role fundraising plays in the charity sector as well as a resonance with our cause.

About the role

· Assist the Fundraising department in planning and delivering national and large-scale fundraising activities.

· Assist the Individual Giving Manager in the coordination and delivery of fundraising campaigns and initiatives including our annual Christmas Appeal, ensuring they are executed effectively and efficiently.

· Support the delivery of digital fundraising activities in line with the Fundraising Strategic Framework.

· Support the administration of the individual giving fundraising programme in collaboration with the wider team.

· Assist the Head of High Value and Individual Giving Manager to administer donor support communications.

· Ensure all donors are thanked in a timely manner via e-mail and letters and accurately recorded on our CRM.

· Maintain and update supporter and donor records within the CRM database ensuring they are accurate.

· Support the refinement of systems and processes to enhance donor experience.

· Serve as the first point of contact for Community Fundraising, including emailing and posting fundraising packs and providing fundraising guidance and advice.

· Maintain and develop our low to mid-level Trust and Foundation income, delivering applications and reporting using our Case for Support.

· Respond to general enquiries received over the phone and through the fundraising and general enquires inboxes.

· Liaise closely with colleagues across the charity to support the development of fundraising collateral and materials for fundraising activities.
