This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.
You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.
You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have the following:
· Demonstrable experience in supporting vulnerable young people in a similar role, particularly through youth activities in 1;1 and/or group settings, or befriending/mentoring
· Good knowledge of the UK asylum system and the related challenges facing young refugees and asylum-seekers in contingency accommodation
· Strong ability to problem-solve, research information and solutions, and to take initiative
· Working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding processes
· Ability to empathise, communicate and engage effectively with young people in distress
· Ability to handle complex, sensitive and confidential information appropriately
· You are available to work on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Supporting our Newcastle Operations team, this role will help to build FareShare North East’s capacity to redistribute surplus food in the region. Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment:
- Develop and implement a regional volunteer recruitment strategy that will deliver an extensive pool of diverse and engaged volunteers to ensure the operational needs of FareShare North East (FSNE) are met in a timely manner.
- Recruit, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of regional volunteer sources, ensuring regular engagement leading to long term partnerships.

Burnham and Weston Energy CIC is looking for a programme manager to nurture and grow our energy advice service.
The service is delivered by a small team of trained Home Energy Advisors who visit people in their homes to provide advice on how they can save money on their bills and make their homes warmer and healthier to live in. They also install small energy efficiency measures such as LED lights, draft proofing and radiator reflectors. Households are then referred on to further support to help them access welfare payments and grant funding for home upgrades including insulation, boiler replacement and energy efficient appliances.
The current team of 2 Home Energy Advisors have capacity to deliver around 700 home visits per year. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations. We employ a Programme Co-ordinator to manage and generate home visit referrals and bookings, provide follow up support, and manage events and communications.
From this foundation, our growth objectives for the Home Energy Savings service are to:
- Continue to raise awareness of the service amongst local organisations and the public, and increase the number of referrals and vulnerable householders who benefit.
- Grow the team of Home Energy Advisors as demand requires, to at least double the team by the end of 2025.
- Secure additional funding to support the service.
- Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households, including unlocking funding and support for energy efficiency retrofit.
Role responsibilities

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time or Part-time (21-35 hours per week). If part-time agreed then additional hours may sometime be required and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.
The charity’s Development Manager will slot into the newly-formed Development Directorate, working with the Director of Development to deliver transformational programmes, projects and initiatives across the charity.
The postholder will have the opportunity to drive development across commercial, volunteering and grant-making activities, among others, and will manage a team including the Grants Officer and Volunteer Coordinator.

The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. These grants support a range of LSO activities, including projects within our pioneering learning and engagement programme, LSO Discovery; our exciting artistic season at the Barbican Centre; international tours; new commissions for the LSO and recordings produced by our record label LSO Live.
About you
Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy. An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.
The Trusts & Foundations Officer will also support the wider fundraising of the Department, helping to steward current and potential supporters at concerts, special events, and LSO Discovery projects taking place across east London.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in:
· Writing compelling applications and reports to grant-giving bodies, as well as knowledge of fundraising through trusts and foundations (at least twelve months of experience).
· Researching potential new funding opportunities with an understanding of cultivation and stewardship processes
· Ideally relevant some event management experience.
The capabilities and characteristics we are looking for:
· Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collate detailed information and present it concisely and compellingly.
· High attention to detail in both written communications and database processes.
· Outstanding editing and proofreading skills.
· Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload, and to consistently meet deadlines.
· Self-motivated, with strong organisational skills.
· Ability to work with a team effectively, integrate with the whole development department and engage with a variety of colleagues across the organisation and stakeholders.

Parents 1st UK is dedicated to enabling quality peer support to flourish during pregnancy, birth and beyond. The evidence is clear - effective and sustainable peer support nurtures the emotional wellbeing of mothers, fathers, partners, and babies, and builds strengths in communities. We work both locally and nationally to achieve this aim.
Our national work: Through an ‘open source’ online community platform, we provide all the resources necessary to set up a perinatal peer support initiative. Freely sharing all the tools that our local programme (Parents 1st Essex) uses in daily practice, from budget setting to volunteer training guides and impact tracking. Working with commissioners and providers, Parents 1st UK also provides consultancy and workshops to help build new perinatal peer support initiatives in communities.
Our local work: Parents 1st Essex currently operates in South and North Essex, delivering perinatal peer support to parents, through 1-1 or group support. Peer supporters engage and develop trusting relationships with parents during pregnancy, continue support through birth and the first few months afterwards.
Alongside this, Parents 1st UK also leads the Essex Peer to Parent Network, a peer support collaborative that aims to develop a hub of good practice across Essex. The Peer to Parent Network employs 4 Peer Support Link Workers who work alongside the local maternity units in Essex, helping parents to access peer support during pregnancy or anytime during the first year after birth.
