This is an exciting time to join Dementia UK’s growing Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive (Acquisition), which is expanding in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy.

You’ll be at the forefront of inspiring new supporters to take action, creating engaging website and digital content and leading national acquisition campaigns that empower individuals, groups and communities to make a difference for families affected by dementia. About this role

Over the past two years, SPANA has made significant investments in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), culminating in the establishment of an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate. The MEAL Manager plays a central role in advancing SPANA’s MEAL systems, providing technical expertise and support to SPANA UK staff and over 20 global partners. Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This role is UK based, hybrid working with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 days per month, or more if preferred) in our London office. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK currently and for the duration of the contract.

The main focus of the role is to secure income for large-scale capital investment at Stanley Arts; alongside developing and maintaining relationships with statutory funders and trusts who maysupport programming and core running costs of the
building. Funding bodies will include Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other voluntary sources, predominantly trusts and foundations.

The Development Manager will play a central role in securing income for Stanley Arts through two key areas:

1) Overseeing fundraising across trusts, foundations, statutory funders, corporate partners, and individual donors to support programming and core running costs.

2) Developing and delivering a major fundraising campaign to raise funds for a large-scale capital investment in Stanley Art’s future.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Development Manager will help shape the organisation’s strategic direction and ensure fundraising is embedded across the organisation. They will lead on individual giving and donor development, alongside capital, trust, and foundation fundraising.

Purpose of the job

Thames21 is seeking an energetic, experienced and committed person to lead our team of Catchment Partnership hosts. This role will involve overseeing the development of our portfolio of 10 hosted and co-hosted Catchment Partnerships across a diverse landscape of urban and rural river catchments spanning London and the wider Thames Basin.

Each partnership is unique, and we pride ourselves in developing each according to the local partners’ vision and as is appropriate for the character of the area and river. Our primary aim is to deliver the Catchment Based Approach and tangible on-the-ground improvements that achieve clean, healthy rivers which deliver social benefits for our communities.

The successful candidate will have operational experience at catchment level as well as management experience. The candidate will take a strategic overview of all catchment partnerships and guide our team of Catchment Partnership hosts and officers, enabling the enhanced delivery of the four priority themes: –

Stakeholder and community engagement as part of active, delivery focused partnerships.
Project identification and development to support delivery of catchment plans, sub-catchment plans and Thames21’s 5-year plan.
Successful fundraising for delivery of river catchment improvement projects.
Knowledge sharing, to bring people together in a way of working that is inclusive, collaborative, cross boundary and catchment wide.

Finally, the role will take a lead in ensuring the Thames21 Catchment Officer/host role is resiliently funded by working closely with partner organisations to increase investment in catchment partnerships to deliver healthy rivers and catchments.

Key responsibilities

· Work with Thames21’s Catchment Partnership Officers/hosts to develop their Catchment Partnership networks and ensure each is delivering against clear catchment and sub catchment action plans.

· Lead on the administration and reporting of Catchment Partnerships programme and line management of the Catchment Partnership team.

· Oversee the management of the Catchment Partnership Team budget, working proactively to identify and fill any funding shortfalls.

· In partnership with the Head of Improving Rivers and Catchment Partnerships Officers, develop each catchment partnerships value to partner organisations with a view to them investing in the catchment partnership host role.

· Support Thames21’s strategic work with external stakeholders through working alongside the Chief Executive Officer to administer the River Partnerships in London (RiPL) group.

· Work closely with Environment Agency catchment coordinators to develop multi-year strategic approaches to delivering national Water Environment Improvement objectives and National Success Measures for Catchment Partnerships.

· Help Catchment Partnership Officers identify, develop and raise funding for river catchment improvement projects, taking a leading role in strategic technical funding bids and working closely with the Heads of Improving Rivers and Fundraising team.

· Contribute to the strategic direction of Thames21 Improving Rivers Team and long-term. sustainability of the organisation.

· Arrange, host and coordinate Catchment Partnership Meetings including production of agendas, minutes and actions.

· Oversee the delivery of strategic projects.

This is one of the most important roles within Shine Cancer Support. You’ll be overseeing and supporting Shine’s volunteers around the country, ensuring that they have what they need to reach as many young adults with cancer as possible. You’ll also work closely with Shine’s Programme Delivery Manager to deliver training and support programmes directly to young adults with cancer and healthcare professionals.

Location:  Hybrid, with two days per week at Shine’s offices in Blackheath, South East London or in Poole, Dorset.

Hours & salary:  Full time (35 hours per week). Salary range is £33,000 - £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

This is a one year contract to cover maternity leave starting mid/late January 2026.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer Support

• Support Shine’s volunteer Network Leaders across England, Scotland and Wales to develop their Shine Networks, ensuring that they provide the best possible support to young adults with cancer. This will include an annual support plan, developing and testing new ways of expanding Shine’s reach, and regular catch-up calls. 

• Work with Shine staff and facilitators to recruit, train and support new volunteers from across the UK.

• Deliver an annual plan for training and support, touching on issues such as outreach and fundraising.

• Maintain and develop Shine’s online information pages for Shine volunteers.

• Organise and facilitate online meet-ups for Shine beneficiaries.

Programme Delivery

• Assist the Programme Delivery Manager and facilitators to deliver Shine’s core programmes (Break Out programme, Shine Circles) to Shine beneficiaries, as well as training to healthcare professionals.

• Create new connections with healthcare professionals across the UK. This will include linking to relevant Cancer Alliances and Integrated Care Boards.

• Oversee the administration and management of relevant monitoring and evaluation processes.

• Experience of working with and/or supporting volunteers

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, Safelives, and Social Finance is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting challenging and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change - to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

About the Role

As a Case Manager you will strive to make contact and work on a one-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. To do this you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risk, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA's (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse and /or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. We are seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active and highly organised Governance Administrator to support the efficient running of our governance arrangements. In this role, you will coordinate and provide high quality support to our committee programme and other key processes such as our grant funding and abstract competitions at Association conferences.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the Association’s governance and operational activities. Collaborating closely with the senior management team, committee Chairs and senior stakeholders, you will contribute directly to the success and impact to the charity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the committee meeting programme; arranging meetings, preparing detailed agendas, circulating papers promptly and producing accurate, high-quality minutes

• Administering the abstract competitions across all Association conferences, including communications with participants and on-site coordination when required
• Supporting the administration of committee appointment processes and Board and committee elections

About the role

This role is maternity cover and will be offered on a fixed term contract. 

The role will report directly in to the Town Clerk and be responsible for the Events Officer, contractors and volunteers. You will work closely with other officers including Communications, Public Services, Community, Heritage and Support Officer. 

Crewe Town council has a rich and varied events and culture programme planned and set out  for 2026 which needs oversight while the events and culture manager is on maternity leave. This will require a suitably experienced and qualified individual to ensure delivery is consistent, compliant and maintains the usual standard of quality events and experiences delivered by Crewe Town Council.

What you’ll be doing:

¨ Be an effective manager, line managing our Volunteering and Community Engagement teams with passion, creativity and purpose.

¨ Working with local partner organisations, building relationships whilst exploring possible funding/joint working/event opportunities, and supporting the teams to make sure they are best placed to have the biggest impact for the people we enable and empower.

¨ Develop and maintain strategic community engagement relationships across the county, in collaboration with Senior Managers, including those with Local Area Committees (LAC)/Neighbourhood Area Committees, and with the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector infrastructure organisation in each area (for example, Voluntary Action Surrey East) as well as those working across the county including Surrey Community Action, Surrey Youth Focus, Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum, and Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.

¨ Organise and facilitate our Breaking Down Barriers Workshops, and other similar initiatives inspiring change and inclusion across Surrey.

¨ Drive forward our volunteering and engagement strategies—shaping policies, streamlining processes, and ensuring our work reflects best practice and legislation.

¨ Working with colleagues in other teams to create a culture where community engagement is at the heart of everything we do.

¨ Using innovation and creativity to design and deliver new projects focussed on community engagement, and maximising community participation for those we support.

¨ Promoting and demonstrating a strengths-based, asset based community development approach, to ensure the people we support have the opportunities to be involved in all aspects of our work and in the community.

¨ Ability to work flexibly according to the business need, which will include organising and attending community engagement events during the evening and at weekends.

We’re seeking someone who has the following skills:

• Direct experience of line managing a team of staff and providing team leadership
• Relevant experience in the management of a volunteering programme, or extensive experience of directly managing volunteers with the ability to step up into this role
• Knowledge and understanding of volunteering best practice, strategy and policy 
• Demonstrable experience of community engagement projects, working directly with beneficiaries and in building relationships with partner organisations
• Planning and organisational skills, including ability to plan, prioritise and deliver a complex workload
• Strong presentation skills, sufficient to deliver engaging training to staff and volunteers
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written, and ability to relate well to people from all backgrounds
• Experience using Microsoft Office and confident in using a database
• Understanding of data protection requirements and confidentiality
• Able to champion the role and contribution of volunteers
• Ability to engage and influence colleagues
