- We are looking for someone with an understanding of supporting people additional care requirements and their carers.

- Able to use Patient / Customers Databases to manage referrals and record case notes.

Trust and Grants Manager
As Trusts & Grants Manager, you’ll play a key role in powering the Youth Zone’s mission to give thousands of young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

About the Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising Team, where you’ll help generate over £1.4 million each year to keep the Youth Zone running. You’ll lead on writing compelling bids and funding proposals that unlock both unrestricted income and targeted project support – from mental health to employability to sports and creative programmes.
You’ll have access to a wealth of impact data, real stories, and a ready-made case for support – and you’ll be encouraged to bring your creativity, energy and ambition to every application. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead on identifying, writing, and submitting high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with strategic priorities
- Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and prioritised, maintaining regular communication with delivery leads to shape project bids that reflect current and emerging needs
- Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone
- Act as a passionate advocate for the Youth Zone, representing the charity at networking events, funder meetings, and promotional visits, and supporting the wider fundraising team on campaigns and events when needed.
About You
You will have experience of:
- Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources
- Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
- Collaborating across teams, particularly with delivery, finance, or impact colleagues, to gather information and develop compelling bids grounded in real-world delivery
- Producing high-quality donor reports, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations through clear narrative, data, and case studies

The Role
The Development Assistant underpins the important work of the Development Department to raise funds from private funders, including individuals, trusts & foundations, corporate partners, and international funders. The Development Assistant directly supports the Director of Development and works across the Development department, providing strong and proactive organisational and administrative support. The Role
As Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a central role in helping Winning Scotland deliver sustainable growth by identifying and securing new income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory and government funding, and public sector contracts.
Working closely with programme leads and the senior leadership team, you’ll research, prioritise, and secure funding opportunities to support the charity’s ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years. You’ll also develop strong relationships with funders, write compelling funding applications, and provide excellent stewardship and reporting.

About the role:
EJF seeks a dynamic and highly organised individual to join our expanding Environmental Defenders (ED) programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we scale up support for grassroots leaders who protect our planet and defend interlinked human rights.
Working closely with the Global Programme Coordinator, the ED Programme Officer will enable EJF to deliver tailored training on advocacy, investigation, and filmmaking to environmental defenders worldwide. This starts with supporting the coordination of our new Ocean Defenders project alongside EJF’s teams in Southeast Asia and West Africa.
As an effective multitasker and skilled coordinator, you will lead the operational and logistical elements of our capacity-strengthening programmes. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored support. The role requires excellent planning abilities, a strong attention to detail and a passion for helping others.
This position offers significant room for growth and learning. The successful candidate will be given opportunities for development such as participating in training projects overseas and growing project management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
Taking instruction and guidance from the Global Programme Coordinator (and in her absence, a named member of the Senior Management Team), the Environmental Defenders Programme Officer will:
● Plan and organise in-person (and remote) support for environmental defenders – leading on scheduling, budgeting, logistics and other administrative elements of the EJF support.
● Support the implementation of the capacity-strengthening programme, following up with colleagues and partners to ensure continuous progress towards deliverables.
● Coordinate with environmental defenders (grassroots NGOs and other civil society leaders) – maintaining relationships with focal points, collecting feedback, and monitoring support needs.
● Contribute to the implementation and improvement of the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) processes, to measure the programme’s impact, the quality of the support provided and adapt to emerging needs and priorities.
● Support with creating new and streamlining internal processes – developing templates, centralising training materials, and facilitating the sharing of lessons learned across teams.
● Assist with production of reports to funders and in securing new and additional funding for the programme.
● Support communications efforts on the Environmental Defenders programme, drafting impactful content for the website, sharing successes with the EJF comms team and identifying other opportunities to improve the programme’s visibility.
● Ensure that digital images from the Programme and from partners are logged in the EJF image library and utilised effectively to drive engagement in the programme.
● Conduct research and participate in networking opportunities to identify potential organisations and individuals to join and benefit from the Environmental Defenders Programme.
● Liaise between partners and EJF’s finance function to ensure that activities are delivered within budget, delivering value for money.
Essential experience and skills:
● Experience coordinating logistics for international trips, events or complex projects.
● Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners (NGOs or others) from different cultures and across time zones.
● Experience in managing complex schedules and meeting deadlines.
● Experience with budget management (planning and reporting) and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
● At least two to three years’ professional work experience in a relevant field (e.g. environmental action, human rights, international development, project management, etc.)

ROLE SUMMARY
This role will be pivotal in devising, executing, and evaluating impactful marketing and communication strategies that resonate with key audiences and advance upReach's mission of transforming social mobility in the UK. The successful candidate will split their time between PR and external affairs (50%) and marketing campaign development and delivery (50%), with flexibility to adjust based on organisational priorities.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, and closely collaborating with the Junior Marketing and Communications Manager on specific projects, focussed on increasing press coverage, creating compelling marketing materials, and delivering impactful campaigns. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure all communications align with upReach’s brand, with the ultimate aim of championing upReach's mission to transform social mobility in the UK. You will also support upReach in fulfilling our 2024-27 strategic objectives.

- Supporting the delivery of effective and creative campaigns - including supporting the campaigns team in writing copy and sending mailouts.
What this role might look like on the day to day:
- Meeting a local group in Warwickshire to plan an effective meeting to build their campaign against the far-right.
- Supporting the team to convene civil society leaders as part of our work on a New Popular Front by sorting logistics for events - choosing a venue or booking catering.
- Writing copy for emails to keep our activists up to date with key information about our activities.
- Supporting the organising team with desk research to feed into our political engagement work.
- Supporting our political party organising by writing template council or CLP motions.
- Following up with a member interested in starting a local group via phone or email, finding out what motivates them and building a relationship.

Skills and competencies
We're looking for:
- Strong interest in UK politics, particularly the Labour Party, with a clear understanding of the political context in which we work, which issues are politically sensitive and the culture Compass represents.
- Willingness to learn: open-minded, flexible and eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate: able to bring people together to take action, work across networks, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, online and in person.
- Self-organisation: able to self-motivate, be proactive and work independently to an agreed schedule.

- Enthusiasm and energy: a demonstrable passion for the political change we seek and a willingness to work in pursuit of it.
Experience, qualifications and knowledge
- Experience working with a not-for-profit, political party, charity, trade union or NGO.
- Experience in political organising, whether in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- An insight into how local groups work as part of a national network.
- Experience in managing and running events online and in-person as part of a team.
- Experience of working with volunteers, activists and groups with different beliefs to build trust and work towards common goals.
- An understanding of the UK progressive political scene, particularly the Labour Party, and support for the aims, vision and values of Compass.

Pay will be £27,000, London-based, with room for flexible working in terms of hours and location. The team has an office in central London (near Vauxhall) and the likely candidate would need to be comfortable travelling to the office at least 2- 3 times a week.
You will work closely with Compass’ Deputy Director and our Political Affairs and Organising Officer who will offer managerial support and work with you to develop and deepen your skills over time.
The position is full-time and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. There is a 3-month probationary period.

The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a growing program, increasing unrestricted income, and transforming the lives of disabled children across the UK.
We are seeking an Individual Giving Fundraiser to lead the delivery of our individual giving program, with a focus on multi-channel campaigns, appeals, and supporter journeys.
This role will project manage all areas of individual giving, from concept through to delivery and evaluation, working with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care to maxmise income, deepen supporter engagement, and grow sustainable regular giving.
You’ll be responsible for delivering existing appeals (e.g. our Christmas Appeal and Grand Draw), developing new fundraising products, and ensuring that donors receive thoughtful and inspiring journeys.
At Newlife, we believe every child with disabilities deserves the best possible future. For over 30 years, we’ve been the UK’s leading charitable provider of specialist equipment for disabled children.
We offer an emergency response service, delivering vital items to family homes often within 72 hours. Alongside this, we run a free, nurse-staffed national helpline, provide sensory toys through our Play Pod loan scheme, and campaign for policy change.
Our unique model combines a recycling and retail operation that generates income, creates inclusive employment opportunities, and delivers significant environmental benefits. Along with Support from trusts, corporates, communities, and individuals through traditional fundraising channels.
Together, these raise c.£15m annually, with c.£4m directly funding our services. Demand continues to rise making fundraising growth more urgent and more important than ever.
We are now investing in our Fundraising team to build a sustainable, supporter-led program that sits alongside our thriving social enterprise as a core income stream.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Giving & Campaign Delivery
- Deliver the individual giving operational plan, managing all campaigns and appeals within agreed budgets and income targets.
- Lead the development and delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, digital, email, retail-linked activity etc.), ensuring integrated messaging and brand consistency.
- Support the delivery and operations of the charity lottery
- Ensure all activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and relevant legislation around data, privacy, consent and Gift Aid.
Donor Acquisition & Retention
- Generate and convert new donor prospects, meeting agreed acquisition and income targets.
- Design and implement a regular giving proposition to acquire and retain committed donors.
- Oversee and optimise donor journeys, ensuring excellent stewardship, cross-sell and conversion opportunities, and seamless progression across the giving pyramid.
Innovation & Insight
- Review and refine the current appeals portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Work with available data to ensure strategic decisions are evidence-based and data-driven, using segmentation and testing to maximise impact.
- Research, explore and pilot new products and approaches to widen our supporter base and increase lifetime value.
- Set and monitor KPIs, reporting on performance and return on investment.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues across fundraising to maximise income and supporter engagement.
Develop strong relationships across Newlife’s wider teams, embedding fundraising within the organisation and ensuring sensitive and thoughtful involvement of families where appropriate.
