Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of the issues affecting blind and partially sighted people in relation to sport. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to sports clubs, sporting venues and facilities and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a sporting world without barriers.

What you’ll be doing
1. Talks to sports and physical activity providers to support and encourage them to consider the needs of blind and partially sighted people by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local leisure centres, sporting venues and sports clubs.
2. Delivering talks to raise awareness of existing sporting and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.
3. Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service.

At Mary’s Youth Club, we’re more than just a place to hang out. We’re a safe, supportive space where young people aged 10–19 can be themselves, try new things, and feel like they belong. 

From creative arts and music to games, sports, and wellbeing sessions, we run exciting drop-in activities and workshops every weekday. Everything we do is shaped by young people, with a strong focus on inclusion, creativity, and community. 

The Role 

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to support our team in delivering fun and engaging activities for young people. No experience is needed – just a positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in! 

This role is for our Wednesday satellite session ‘Craft & Create’ delivered At Mildmay Community Centre (N16 8NA).

This role would particularly suit someone who is interested in, and able to offer, arts and craft, music or other creative sessions

Action for Refugees in Lewisham works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in Lewisham. At the Rainbow Club supplementary school we aim to help children between the ages of 4 and 11 to improve their literacy, numeracy and social skills in a friendly and supportive environment.  We need your skills and enthusiasm to assist the teacher in the delivery of a literacy and numeracy class and work with other volunteers to develop a programme of recreational activities. The Rainbow Club runs on Saturday mornings during term-time.

Your duties will include:

• Arriving punctually for the 9am briefing by the Rainbow Club Headteacher;
• Working in a team with other volunteers and teachers to deliver literacy, numeracy, arts, sport activities – this includes ensuring children remain engaged throughout the lesson and carry out set tasks as instructed by the teacher;
• Working one-to-one with specific children if and when required;
• Filing classroom work and homework in children’s individual files and keeping all materials and resources tidy and properly stored;
• Liaising with parents as and when required for example distributing leaflets and news about future meetings and events and also assisting with parents' day;
• Following the teacher’s policies on discipline and classroom management;
• Supervising the children during break times;
• Supporting the children during class trips;
• Ensuring classrooms are clean and tidy at the end of each day – this may include being part of a regular team rota;
• Providing feedback and comments to the Rainbow Club Headteacher when required.

We are looking for a trustee to join our board as Chair of Trustees. With our five-year fundraising strategy underway, this is an exciting time to join as we develop new, impactful partnerships to deliver our mission for young sports people towards and beyond SportsAid’s 50th anniversary in 2026. 

As the Chair of Trustees you will lead and support an effective, diverse and committed Board.  The Chair will provide inclusive leadership to deliver the charity’s vision and mission, ensuring that each trustee enjoys fulfilling their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the charity. The Chair will also support the Chief Executive to ensure that the Board functions to best effect in supporting the executive team to achieve its objectives. He or she will act as an ambassador and be a public face of the charity in partnership with the Chief Executive.

You will have significant Board experience, ideally at Chair or other senior level, in the public, private or voluntary sector; or substantial Board experience as a member of a National Governing Body of Sport or Charitable Trust.  You will be familiar with partnership working and engaging with a complex stakeholder mix.  You will have strong financial and commercial acumen and a genuine passion and personal connection to the core purpose and mission of SportsAid.

This is a vital role offering the opportunity to join a committed and driven charity at an exciting time.  You do not need to be a sports expert, but you will have a desire to help young people and a willingness to get stuck in.  You can make a difference.

You will join a board of eight trustees in working with an effective executive team to support the charity’s work. 

The minimum commitment as a board member will be to attend four board meetings per year (typically held in London but with the facility to join remotely if necessary) plus two half-day induction sessions and at least one half-day strategy planning session.  There will likely be an additional time commitment to attend events representing SportsAid. Board positions are unremunerated but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Kipawa Dreams Initiatives (K-DI) is a women-led Organization. Our mission is to empower youth, especially girls and women, by equipping them with the knowledge and opportunities to foster sustainable communities through extensive education, health, and technology-related initiatives. At K-DI, we prioritize tackling significant challenges in education and health, particularly for marginalized youth. We focus specifically on women and children aged 10 - 25. Our strategy is built on collaborating with local stakeholders, governments, and development partners, which allows us to create community-driven solutions and enhance capacity within our communities.

KIPAWA Dreams addresses the intertwined social and environmental challenges facing youth in rural Tanzania, including poor mental health awareness, cultural stigma, gender inequality, and lack of supportive spaces. Many young people struggle in silence with trauma, anxiety, or abuse, worsened by poverty and harmful norms. Girls are especially vulnerable due to early marriage, menstrual stigma, and limited educational access. Through peer-led clubs, community dialogues, and youth mental health training, KIPAWA Dreams fosters safe and inclusive environments that promote resilience, emotional expression, and support. The organization empowers young people to heal, lead, and drive change within their schools, families, and communities.

KIPAWA Dreams tackles mental health stigma, gender inequality, and youth marginalization through culturally rooted, community-driven solutions. It trains teachers, health workers, and youth leaders in Mental Health issues, builds school-based peer support clubs, and facilitates intergenerational dialogues to break harmful silences. By integrating arts, sports, and storytelling, the startup creates safe spaces for youth expression and healing. Fundraising & Partnerships Lead (Volunteer)

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

KDI is seeking a passionate fundraising strategist to help us secure funding and scale our mental health and empowerment programs for rural youth in Tanzania. You will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, building donor relationships, and writing compelling proposals.

Key Responsibilities: -Research and apply to grant opportunities (e.g., embassies, foundations, UN agencies). -Build and manage relationships with donors and strategic partners. -Develop fundraising materials (pitch decks, reports, concept notes). -Support crowdfunding or online campaigns.

Ideal Candidate: -Strong writing and communication skills. -Experience in nonprofit fundraising or donor relations. -Passionate about youth mental health and development. -Bonus: Familiar with the African development context or grant platforms.

Weekly Time Commitment

What will you be doing?

Support U is seeking trustees to join our board at this pivotal moment following a period of change, as we strengthen our governance and work toward a more sustainable and impactful future. As a trustee, you’ll play a role in helping guide the charity’s direction, ensure good governance, and enable our small team to deliver high-impact services to the LGBTQIA+ community across Berkshire.

Key responsibilities include:

· Providing strategic leadership and oversight

· Ensuring good governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

· Supporting financial management and safeguarding the charity’s resources

· Acting as an ambassador and advocate for the charity

· Promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work

Trustee Treasurer: We are seeking a committed individual with a proven, professional track record of financial management and leadership at the highest level, and a sound understanding and experience of the voluntary sector.  We need someone with significant experience of leading long-term strategic development and driving financial sustainability.

You will share our vision and want to take a leading role in our journey to be recognised as an outstanding organisation. It would be a significant advantage if you have an understanding or experience of working in the voluntary and community sector, and even more so if you are a current or former resident of Hammersmith & Fulham or have a tangible, established and current connection with the area.

Sobus was formed in 2014 following a merger between the Community & Voluntary Sector Association and Fulham Community Partnership Trust. However, we were first established as the local CVS in Hammersmith & Fulham in 1998.

RSBC are looking for volunteers to help out at our Audiobook club. At Audiobook club, the children and young people decide on an audiobook they want to listen to and then discuss its themes afterwards. 

We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate the clubs admin, make sure everyone feels involved and occasionally assume character voices when we do live readings! 

Role: Online Activities Volunteer

Commitment: Currently, sessions are run both during the week (mostly in the afternoon) and at weekends (usually on a Saturday). Activity volunteering is a flexible commitment, and you will be able to sign up for the session you like and when you have time. It really is up to you and your availability.

What will I be doing?

Our amazing Activity Volunteers play a key role in supporting blind children and young people to take part in a variety of activities. These range from sports, creative (singing, performing, art), audiobook club and day trips. Our activities are designed for blind young people to meet new friends, gain confidence, learn new skills/sports, and become more independent. The skills you have developed in your career and personal life will be invaluable to our young people. 

Key Tasks and Main Duties 

Online activities: 

• support the session timetable 

• facilitate the communication and social interaction between participants 

• encourage members of the group to participate and share their opinions 

Who are you?

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You don’t need to have volunteered or worked before as full training will be provided. What’s important to us is that you are a team player, open to learning and willing to follow RSBC’s policies and can be an excellent ambassador for RSBC. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of sight problems. 

What’s in it for me?

RSBC offers the opportunity to gain insight and experience into helping others with sight issues. As part of your volunteering, you will have access to Sighted Guide training, a training session designed to help you understand the issues and complexities of sight problems and give you the ability to help others navigate the world.

RSBC also provides paid expenses for your volunteering experience, you can claim up to £10 per day.

RSBC can also provide references and impact reports from your volunteering if required. 

You will be fully supported in your role by our team of expert and compassionate service delivery team.

Develop or utilise your skills – As a volunteer, you’ll be given plenty of opportunities to develop new skills or use those you already have, which can help to build your CV, boost your employability and give you a sense of satisfaction.

Safeguarding:

Due to the nature of the role, before you can begin volunteering with RSBC there are some required safeguarding checks which will need to be completed.

All RSBC volunteers undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by RSBC) and must provide two references.

All volunteers will also be booked onto safeguarding training.

RSBC risk assesses all its services and activities.
