OVERVIEW
Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.
Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors, so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.
JOB PURPOSE
As one of our High Support Needs IDVAs you will be part of our experienced and dedicated adult team reporting to the HSN IDVA Manager covering the Ashford District area, and your role will include a mixture of remote and office working. You’ll be providing a high-quality, frontline service to survivors of domestic abuse and play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment for our clients with more complex needs. You will assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse which are impacting their situation, and help them to regain control of their lives. You will support them to make informed and safe choices and to move forward.
Alongside working with survivors, you will develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations to strengthen multi-agency working and improve service outcomes for survivors.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting people who is confident, resilient and has the ability to build strong relationships.
You will have experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions with survivors, including some whose individual circumstances are more complex. This might include clients with issues such as homelessness, poor mental health or drugs and alcohol use.
The nature of this work and being exposed to survivors’ trauma and challenges can have a negative impact on our own wellbeing as support workers, and therefore good self-awareness and the ability to recognise our own needs and put in place appropriate boundaries is essential. All team members are expected to exercise self-care and attend regular clinical supervision to mitigate the potential impact of vicarious trauma.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality case work support and information to victims/survivors who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence and have high support needs.
- Support those who are experiencing domestic and sexual abuse to access services to keep themselves (and their children) safe and address their needs
- Identify and assess the needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist while taking a trauma informed approach
- Provide 1:1 support to survivors in the Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone and Hythe districts, either over the phone, in community venues or at Rising Sun offices
- Manage a caseload in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality
- Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and building positive working-relationships with team members
- Attend regular clinical supervision and case review meetings
- Hold weekly information and advice drop in sessions and facilitate relevant programmes when required i.e. Freedom Programme
- Participate in street walks to meet and build relationships and trust with street homeless
- Advocate for high risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
- Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims and how your role fits into them.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to survivors including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance.
- Effective partnership working with all key agency partners (including housing and other specialist services, such as drug and alcohol support) to address the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated particularly through the MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
- Identify training opportunities and provide training and support for housing staff and other relevant agencies as appropriate
- Work with volunteers (where appropriate) to enhance the capacity of the service
- Be responsible for personal well-being and exercise appropriate self-care
- Attend wider team meetings to share learning and feed into organisational developments
- Ensure that the service user is at the heart of all service delivery by encouraging participation in service development and reporting on their recommendations and complaints

This is an exciting new role for an experienced mental health professional who has experience of providing support to and working with clients with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. You will provide Client Support for all services, including effective, in depth triage of clients, identification of client risk including escalation and support to clients. The successful candidate will provide support to all services, including building up and developing a bank of volunteers and (volunteer coordination) including general administrative support, as well as changes in service delivery.
Client Support duties include:
- Support client enquiries by using in depth mental health skills to triage effectively
- Ensure appropriate and timely responses and assistance to clients by drawing on mental health training and experience.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
This role involves working within a multidisciplinary NHS team to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness by holding a caseload of service users and serving as their key contact throughout care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge, using the RiO system. The post-holder collaborates with individuals to develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed, strength-based approaches. They support access to local resources, appointments, wellbeing activities, and peer or psychoeducational groups, while promoting recovery-focused, jargon-free communication and advocating for co-production and integrated care. Liaising with statutory and voluntary organisations ensures smooth service navigation and warm handovers, while active participation in clinical meetings and community events helps represent both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 4 in Care or possess at least two years' experience working in a mental health setting, with a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery principles, and co-production. The role requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills, alongside the ability to facilitate groups effectively. Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. We exist to end the pain and suffering and loss of life among people affected by eating disorders:

The Role

The Breast Cancer Now helpline, health information and support services help 600,000 people living with or beyond the disease, as well as their loved ones every day.
Breast Cancer Now believe that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live - and be supported to live well. But to create that future, we need to act now.
The Senior Programme Manager will work across teams within Breast Cancer Now and externally, to plan and manage, as part of Breast Cancer Now's exciting transformational growth plans, the delivery and evaluation phases of a 3-year pilot, train the trainer programme, in defined targeted areas within England and Scotland. This role covers the final 2 years of the pilot.
The programme will help drive forward the public health, inclusion, and awareness team's work across the UK, which is to empower patients and the public to play a full role in managing their own risk of getting breast cancer, diagnosing breast cancer earlier and improving their quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and development of Breast Cancer Now's Train the Trainer programme, ensuring effective project management, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage a remote delivery team and external partners, including evaluation agencies and suppliers, providing strategic oversight and direction.
- Oversee public health and inclusion initiatives, building strong relationships with stakeholders, community groups, and health sector partners across the UK.
- Ensure high-quality programme delivery, maintaining documentation, monitoring impact, managing budgets and small grants, and driving process improvements.
- Represent the charity externally, including at conferences and meetings, championing equity and inclusion in all aspects of public health engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing and delivering high-level projects and programmes, particularly in public health, behaviour change, and training delivery. You should have a strong background in developing both digital and face-to-face interventions for a range of audiences, including underrepresented groups and professionals across health, education, and community settings. Proven ability to manage people, budgets, and external partners is essential, alongside experience in independently delivering and evaluating projects. A solid understanding of health inequalities and the wider determinants of health are also essential.
You will need to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as the role involves engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including within the NHS and community sectors. The successful candidate will be confident working both independently and as part of a dispersed UK-wide team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. You will have excellent knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, as well as UK healthcare systems and the challenges they face. Experience of working in the charity/voluntary sector and within a cancer care environment are highly desirable.
This role can be based in the London or Glasgow offices. The programme is being delivered in England (Westminster and Leicester) and Scotland (Glasow and Lanarkshire), based on mortality rates of breast cancer and you will need to travel to these areas. The hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

London Support Programme - Prison Caseworker

Role summary
The London Support Programme (LSP) is a pilot service delivered by the Hardman Trust, providing pre- and post-release support to people on long sentences who are returning to London. This first year of delivery has enabled us to begin offering support, and we are now refining the programme for its next stage.
We are recruiting two part-time, Prison Caseworkers to deliver frontline support, ensuring that people serving long sentences continue to receive consistent, personalised help in preparing for release and rebuilding their lives.
As a Prison Caseworker, you will provide one-to-one, person-centred support focused on wellbeing, confidence-building, and preparation for life after release.
You will support people to set meaningful goals, connect with services, and problem-solve challenges along the way.
The role involves building trusting relationships, promoting the programme across the prison, keeping accurate records, and contributing to the continued development of this pilot into a sustainable, long-term service.
You will be managed and supported by the Head of Service Delivery.
Core responsibilities

One-to-one support delivery – Provide tailored support to people in prison signed up to the LSP, including initial support planning, goal-setting, problem-solving and referrals to both internal (e.g. Grants, Research Volunteers, Penfriends) and external services.

Remote support – Provide light-touch support to LSP participants released from prison, during their initial weeks of resettlement, using telephone/video calls, and email to check in, offer guidance, and help address early challenges.
