Job Purpose
As BSR’s Marketing and Communications Manager you will deliver impactful communications and data-driven marketing plans that support our mission and vision.
You’ll work with teams to build strategic marketing and communications plans and manage a tactical calendar of multi-channel activity. All of which will drive engagement with clinical guidance, the latest science and research, quality education programmes, professional events and conferences.
You’ll focus on promoting member benefits to boost recruitment and retention across the adult, paediatric and adolescent rheumatology community. Key Responsibilities
Digital Acquisition and Fundraising

Develop and implement acquisition campaigns and activity to attract new supporters through social platforms, both paid and unpaid, search engine advertising, and email marketing. As well as novel and innovative platforms and opportunities as identified.

Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPI’s, budget and spend, and work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on advertisement spend / return on investment.

Ensure regular monitoring of performance across all activities and make necessary adjustments to maximise net income opportunities.

Stewardship and Supporter Experience

Maintain a good level of understanding of our supporters' behaviours and motivations to create and implement stewardship content and journeys, feedback and respond to queries and enquiries relevant to IG activity.

Work with the team to ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner and all interactions and activities are in line with our supporter promise.

Ensure supporter journeys are segmented and personalised wherever possible.

Database and Compliance

Skills and Competencies
Our ideal candidate would have the following:

Proven experience in digital acquisition for charity or social cause, or in paid digital marketing or advertising in commercial roles. With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation.

The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels.

Knowledge and experience of trends and dynamics in digital fundraising (ideally), including audience identification and optimisation strategies including with new technologies like AI tools.

Project
The free Financial and Wellbeing Support Service in Epsom and Ewell combines the specialist mental health support with expert benefits and money advice from Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) to support clients during a difficult time. This three-year project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
The Role
• Increase financial resilience and independence.
• Improve overall mental and/or emotional wellbeing.
• Reduce stress and anxiety.

• Help clients to feel more informed about how to manage finances and wellbeing in future.
Key responsibilities include:
• Work in partnership with the Citizens Advice to support people with their mental health who are experiencing financial difficulties.
• Manage a caseload of clients.
• Work with individuals and their carers around their mental health and social circumstances.
• Create a non-clinical person centred support plan around the individual, guided by the individual’s needs.
• Cultivate relationships with, and work with, other services around social wellbeing support for clients.
• Work with clients as the lead professional involved in their care, bridging to other services and opportunities and working closely with other organisations already involved.
• Aim to remove practical and physical barriers that arise from lack of resource at the community level.

About You

Join our dynamic and supportive team as a Deputy Manager in the Rough Sleeping Team, where you will play a pivotal role in tackling homelessness and supporting people who are experiencing rough sleeping to rebuild their lives. THSORT’s structure compromises of a Service Manager, 2 Deputy Managers, 6 Outreach Workers (some with specialist lead roles), 2 Navigators, Complex Needs Worker and an Information and Referrals worker. We support people who are rough sleeping and/or living on the streets of Tower Hamlets borough.
Your duties
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for line-managing a dedicated team of outreach workers and navigators, ensuring they deliver high-quality services to individuals experiencing rough sleeping. Your leadership will be vital in driving operational effectiveness and supporting the team to engage with people who need help most.
You will work closely with local authority partners, statutory and voluntary services, and key stakeholders to ensure an integrated, person-centred approach to tackling rough sleeping. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of service strategies, bringing your expertise to enhance the partnership working ethos that is key to Tower Hamlets’ approach.
Your role will be essential in providing strategic oversight, offering guidance, and ensuring that your team operates in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner.
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Flexibility might be required at times to work outside these hours)
