We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth running of our Programmes and Operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our logistics, partnerships, and communications run efficiently, allowing us to reach and support more young people. You will work closely with suppliers, referrers, and our internal team to coordinate key aspects of our programmes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme & Operations Support

• Support the coordination of OSH’s residentials, events, and programmes, ensuring logistics run smoothly.

• Arrange bookings (e.g. facilitators, venues, catering, transport) to ensure contracts and payments are managed efficiently.

• Assist in staff recruitment and volunteer management with recruitment, interview scheduling, onboarding, inductions, organising meetings and receiving feedback.

• Manage resources in our lock up (based in Hornsey)

Administrative & Organisational Support

• Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Handle general inquiries via email and phone, acting as a key point of contact for external stakeholders.

• Support the team with minute-taking in meetings.

Partnerships & Referrals

• Communicate with referrers (such as youth groups, schools, social workers, and community organisations) to ensure young people are referred and engaged in our programmes.

• Support with phoning participants and referrers to support them to complete sign up forms where necessary

• Track and monitor referral processes, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups with referrers to maximise participation at our events

• Maintain good relationships with external partners such as venues, facilitators, transport companies and other organisations we work with. 

Finance & Compliance Support

• Assist with financial administration, such as processing invoices, logging donations, and tracking expenses.

• Ensure OSH meets data protection and safeguarding requirements, keeping records up to date.

Other duties

• Getting involved in OSH events in the evenings and at weekends, including residentials. These are overnight trips from 2 to 5 nights

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Experience in the charity, youth, or refugee/migrant sector.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Confident in communicating with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.

• IT proficient, including experience with email, spreadsheets, and document management.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful. 

As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.

We are looking to recruit someone who has a Masters degree in public health sciences, particularly nutrition and/or cancer research, and with a good understanding of epidemiological concepts. The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system and developing financial policies and procedures. 

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting.  Job Purpose:

We are commissioned by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council to deliver our Family Mentors project across the local area; the project has been running for 15 years. Our committed volunteers from the local community provide support to families whose children are at risk or have a safeguarding plan.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Engagement Manager to join our team in Southend-on-Sea. The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate an understanding and total commitment to our organisational values.

As engagement leads at Hammerson House it is our challenge to help them do so and, taking a person centred approach, results in a wide and ever shifting variety of activities and individual interventions for our residents. We are a large and innovative organisation that is always trying to develop new ways to foster community and connect our residents with what matters to them.

We are specifically looking for a new member of the team to work with our residents living with dementia and while this does present particular challenges the rewards are also particularly high.

This is a job of tremendous variety and possibilities and requires individuals who have the energy, people skills and logistical know-how to bring the right ideas to fruition. Experience of working in care is not a necessity and we would welcome candidates with a diverse range of people-facing experiences and those with creative backgrounds. Experience of supporting people with dementia or other neurological conditions would be desirable.

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

£30,000 per annum for the full time role

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead on our third party challenge events programme, delivering a portfolio of inspiring events through impactful acquisition campaigns and exceptional supporter experiences.

Working closely with the Head of Mass Participation, you’ll help shape the strategy for the third party events programme, identifying opportunities to drive growth and continuously improving how we work. Collaboration will be key, particularly with the Challenge Events Manager (DIY), to ensure the wider Challenge Events Team is aligned and working together effectively.

This role includes line management of the Challenge Events Executives responsible for delivering the third party programme. You’ll support the team in developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, alongside creating insight-led stewardship journeys across email, SMS and other communication platforms. You’ll also be responsible for developing the annual budget and ensuring close collaboration with colleagues across Fundraising and Engagement to drive income and boost supporter engagement.

A key part of the role involves recruiting, training and developing staff in line with Dementia UK’s policies, including regular supervision and annual appraisals to ensure high performance and growth.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in delivering successful third party challenge events, including participant recruitment, supporter journey development and stewardship communications to meet income targets. You should be confident leading projects, directing and guiding team members to achieve shared goals and experienced in working with external agencies. A strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and the ability to use data, insight and market trends to identify new opportunities, is essential.
