More about the role
You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations. The team has recently transitioned to a new team structure with a new set of ambitions and plans, and more formalised support across the organisation, at all levels, to enable the team to deliver.
As part of these changes, a new role of Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value) has been created, to lead on the operation and resource requirements of high value at Blue Cross, including:
- leading on the development of fundraising opportunities and propositions, including the management of funding opportunity information and case for support resource
- overseeing the delivery of high-quality prospect research and driving pipeline performance through delivery of prospecting plans and lead generation
- providing insight and performance information to help inform strategy, including the management of CRM, financial, and KPI reporting requirements

Knowledge, skills, and experience
Experience in some or all of the below:
- funding opportunity portfolio planning and management
- developing supporter orientated propositions and Cases for Support
- identifying and researching high level major gift prospects in support of the successful solicitation of 5 and 6 figure gifts
- developing and maintaining processes for prospect identification, qualification, research, and tracking
- information management and interrogating and analysing data, to draw meaningful insights that support strong fundraising performance
- designing and producing a range of reports, ideally from a CRM as well as offline, to support and drive performance
- improving processes to achieve financial and non-financial objectives
- management of stewardship products/programmes and/or events
- supporting high-value fundraising teams
- line management
- liaising and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders at all levels
- comprehensive understanding of managing personal data in accordance with GDPR, data protection legislation and fundraising ethics

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
- Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
- Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families
- To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
- Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
- Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
- Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of low to medium risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
- Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
- Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.
- Work directly and proactively with children and young people to help them to understand the impact that Domestic Abuse has had on them.

- To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
- Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
- To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
- Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
- Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. - Develop and implement a strategy for Headway’s work within the criminal justice system.
- Work with and develop key relationships across, police, probation services to improve knowledge and systems for offenders with brain injuries.

What you will be doing:
In this role, you will act as a first point of contact both face to face and over the telephone, handling a diverse range of enquiries and visits from families, volunteers, supporters, staff and members of the public. In addition, you will provide a high level of administrative and customer care support to include donation processing, database maintenance, delivering support activities for online fundraising page supporters. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and deepen your understanding of fundraising and charity work, be involved in maintaining excellent donor and supporter relationships whilst working within a supportive and professional fundraising team. Charlton Farm is a beautiful and well equipped workplace at the edge of Bristol with plenty of free parking, surrounded by beautiful walks and views. The role is 21 hours per week worked over three days: Wednesday to Friday.
The Successful Candidate:
You will be adept at prioritising competing demands and able to adapt your approach to a variety of situations and audiences. You will have a good telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills, with an excellent understanding of confidentiality and data protection, an interest in the aims and objectives of Children's Hospice South West, a professional approach with tact and diplomacy and the ability to enthuse and motivate others. You will have a flexible and collaborative approach to teamwork, and the ability and confidence to apply your own initiative. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook) and database management is essential as is the ability to carry out detailed work with high attention to detail and accuracy. RESPONSIBILITIES

You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in.

You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development.

You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

The PG Dip CAPNiP programme is an exciting distance learning programme from Anna Freud and UCL. The programme is targeted towards professionals working with children and young people, to support their understanding and application of the latest psychological research and practice to their working lives. The programme is delivered entirely remotely to the global cohort, using a range of online learning tools and strategies to support networking and connection amongst students; it brings together a diverse range of views and expertise from academics, experts by experience and clinicians, to support students understanding of a range of topics relevant to the wellbeing of young people.
The programme holds a particular focus on trauma and trauma-informed practice, including a specialist module on working with the impact of trauma, and on trauma-informed practice in education. The programme runs for one year full-time, or two years part-time.
