About you

You will have expertise in driving engagement and awareness across multiple channels, be skilled at producing and commissioning creative content, strong experience in community management and be up-to-date on the latest trends and changes in the social media landscape. Experience of working in the charity sector and a sound understanding of what makes good fundraising content would be a distinct advantage.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within the parameters of an established brand whilst driving innovation and maximising creative opportunities. You will be equally at home with the day-to-day management of social media accounts as with working with the Head of Communications and Content to develop and deliver our strategic objectives using data and insights.

 About us

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work extremely long hours, in a faced-paced busy environment, with mandatory office attendance.

We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The contract is for 8 months. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients with lived experience of mental health, but may also include Autism or a learning disability.

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals and engage with employers in line with client preferences.

At Northampton Students’ Union, our Sports Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching the student experience through sport. By overseeing over 35 free-to-join sports clubs, they ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, regardless of background or ability. Their responsibilities include managing sports programming, coordinating events like Varsity and Sports Awards, and fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. By supporting student-led initiatives and promoting participation, the Sports Development Coordinator helps create a vibrant, active campus community.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Book internal and external facilities for training and fixtures.  Ensure that the clubs use suitable facilities of an appropriate standard, while following SU procedures and maintaining good relationships with the facility provider.
2. Operational responsibility for all SU affiliated sports activity, including approving risk assessment and dealing with all accident reports for sports clubs.
3. To ensure that appropriate process is followed when disciplinary issues occur with Sports Clubs.
4. To lead on Sports Awards and Varsity, to ensure a safe and relevant event is delivered.
5. To feed into the budget-setting process, and be responsible for spending the Sports budget, following financial processes accordingly.
6. To support all sports club volunteers in the development and delivery of their activities and events.
7. Responsible for the growth and development of new sports and developing processes that enable students to either set up new activities or expand current activities.
8. To be the organisation’s main point of contact for British Universities and Colleges Sport.
9. To deliver all administrative processes for BUCS-related activity on behalf of the organisation.

The Pembroke Academy of Music (PAM) is an open-access music education programme with a vision that all young people should have the opportunity to learn and grow through high-quality engagement with music. We’re looking for a Carer Assessment Service Manager to lead our countywide team in delivering statutory and preventative assessments in line with the Care Act 2014. You’ll provide leadership and day-to-day support to your team, oversee assessment allocations, and manage referrals through our internal CRM and West Sussex County Council’s systems.

You’ll also deliver staff supervisions, attend management and partner meetings, contribute to training, and support service development projects. A key part of the role involves quality assurance, trend analysis, report writing for senior leaders and commissioners, and managing assessment processes and budgets. Job Role

• Lead the specialist, countywide Carer Assessment team to deliver best value, high quality statutory and preventative carer assessments and ensure that outcomes are compliant with the Care Act 2014.

The purpose of your role

We are looking for a proactive policy and corporate affairs professional to join the Police Now team and play a key role in shaping understanding of our programmes, build support amongst stakeholders, and lead the conversation on police reform and culture change. 

Police Now’s mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase public confidence in policing.  You will be instrumental in identifying and offering great opportunities to showcase the best of Police Now's work with Ministers, officials, MPs, Peers, committees, All-Party Parliamentary Groups, and other policy stakeholders and influencers.  You will use your skills in advocacy and effective communication to increase awareness of and support for what we deliver, and be an effective partner to the Government demonstrating delivery of their 13,000 neighbourhood policing pledge and the difference good local policing makes to communities.

What you’ll do – the key responsibilities

•Establish yourself within Police Now as a source of expert political advice and guidance in handling sensitive issues and relationships, working to protect and enhance our reputation. 

•Be curious about police reform, be actively contributing on external thinking about this and ensure PN colleagues are kept abreast of key developments.

•Maintain the day to day relationship with the Home Office including organising meetings, submissions, paperwork and evaluations.

•Provide expert policy advice to officials at the Home Office, other Government Departments, and Parliamentarians on the work of Police Now through contributions to White Papers and Committee Investigations. 

•Be proactive in looking for opportunities for Police Now such as organising visits, participating in roundtables, and playing an active role in relevant conferences.

•Ensure that Police Now fulfils its obligations to Government in return for public investment and is responsive to the needs of the Home Office and other organisations. About the opportunity

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. 

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Sussex.

• The Sussex Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The Sussex Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

Being the sole representative for a partner school, you will need to use your ability to work independently and with initiative, often organising your own time to meet deadlines. You’ll also need to have a strong aptitude for developing relationships with a range of stakeholders ensuring you uphold high standards of communication and adapt your style for different audiences. The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 
 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Foundation

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that Spear Trainees are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with Trainees on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively

Delivery of Spear Career

Training the Graduate Coach

• Contributing towards the training and development of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development

Personal qualities we're looking for:

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values of Resurgo and Christ Church Clifton
• Demonstrable experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and a keenness to develop these skills further

Working 37.5 hours per week, various shift patterns are available from 7:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 9:00pm and 9am – 6pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
