We are currently looking for a Senior Virtual Learning Officer to join our learning development team.

This role will be involved in the development of training covering subjects such as:

• Safeguarding
• EDI topics such as Autism and Gender Diversity
• Health and Safety
• Onboarding new adult volunteers to Sea Cadets

Responsibilities

• Work with course designers to develop new, and maintain existing, elearning and media content.
• Translate storyboards into interactive learning content, creating activities, graphics, animations, audio and videos, using tools such as Articulate (Storyline and Rise), Canva, H5P, Murf and Adobe.
• Ensure learning meets development guidelines, and is accessible, functional and engaging.
• Integrate learning content to create courses on our learning management system (Moodle).
• Test learning content, including using screen readers and other accessibility software.
• Help to maintain the guidelines for course development.
• Support the day-to-day administration of the Sea Cadets learning management environment
• Cultivate strong working relationships across multiple teams (internal and external)
• Stay up to date with latest system upgrades and advise on their potential impact on existing or new courses

Requirements

• eLearning development experience ( e.g. tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, or similar)
• Experience in media creation for graphics, sound and video editing.
• Good MS Office skills

Desirable

• Experience using Teams and SharePoint
• Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• LMS Administration experience (our platform is based on Moodle, Mahara and Alfresco but other LMS skills will be transferable)
• Subject matter knowledge in one of the following areas:

Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.

About Us

CAP sets up and supports local partnerships that aim to reduce alcohol harm in children and young people, improve their health and well-being and enhance their communities. Our mission is to create an alcohol-free childhood for all children and young people.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.

· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.

· Raise the profile of CAPs in Scotland and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.

Specific duties to include the following:

o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.

o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.

o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions.

o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media.

o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools.

o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity.

o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa).

o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MSP visits to CAP projects.

Skills, attributes and experience

• Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, Alcohol and Drug Partnerships, police, retailers and licensing.
• Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.
• Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan.
• Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events.
• Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills.
• Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation.

Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 2.5 days of consultancy per week or around 100 days per annum. All reasonable and agreed travel expenses will be paid in line with invoice arrangements.

This is a key role for our Trust, in which you’ll use your expertise and knowledge to continue our efforts to drive meaningful change for nature, further developing our work via our innovative collaborations, pioneering natural capital markets, meaningful farmer engagement and nature-based project demonstration.

You’ll be leading a small but dynamic team involved with a wide range of projects, including the groundbreaking Bristol Avon Catchment Market, NEIRF, a developing land advice service and support for farmers with private finance opportunities and delivery of a range of specialist ecological services including species recovery projects. • Support the development of existing projects within the team including natural capital markets, farmer engagement and species recovery projects.

The Head of Data Insights and MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning) will lead SPANA’s strategic approach to data, evidence and learning within our Global Programmes Department (GPD). This exciting and pivotal role will oversee the design, collection and analysis of data and insights across our diverse portfolio of international working animal welfare programmes and implementing partners. 

This role will suit a strategic and solutions-focused leader with strong international programming experience in developing and delivering robust data systems, and in applying MEAL frameworks that enhance the impact and accountability. A deep commitment to SPANA’s mission to transform the welfare of working animals is essential. 

Salary, contract and location

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week) permanent role. This role is UK based, with regular attendance (approximately 1-2 times per month) in our London office. The salary for this role is approximately £55,000-£60,000, dependent on expereiunce. The Florrie is looking for a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to oversee private bookings and help run events in our vibrant new youth space, The Basement, as well as support larger venue-wide events. This state-of-the-art facility features a cinema, radio station, and activity zone, and hosts everything from children’s parties to community conferences.

A Liverpool landmark for over 130 years, The Florrie is a Grade II listed Victorian building and a thriving hub for arts, culture, and community life in South Liverpool. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all enquiries, bookings, and events in The Basement, acting as the main point of contact for clients and ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish.

• Promote and maximise use of the space by responding to enquiries promptly, maintaining efficient booking systems, and building relationships with external partners.

• Oversee event delivery, especially children’s activities (e.g. parties, screenings, games), and ensure the space is safe, clean, and ready before and after each event.

• Manage operational logistics including safeguarding, scheduling, risk assessments, and staff support.

• Support charity-wide events and collaborate with Florrie teams to promote use of The Basement across programmes.

• Contribute ideas to improve the customer experience and enhance The Basement’s role as a valued community venue.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience coordinating youth or community programmes and managing public-facing spaces.

• Strong background in event planning, including working with partners and overseeing venue hires.

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with confidence handling schedules, bookings, and budgets.

• Sound knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and professional conduct in youth/community settings.

• Effective communicator with the ability to engage children, families, and external partners.

• Flexible and dependable, with availability to work evenings and school holidays.

• Full D1 UK Driving Licence required (no personal vehicle needed).

• Appointment subject to DBS clearance and satisfactory references.

What you’ll do

• Assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offl ine, maximising income through acquisition and stewardship communications to secure one-off and regular gifts.
• Manage relationships with creative, print and response handling agencies working on campaigns.
• Support the Senior Individual Giving Offi cers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme.
• Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets.
• Excellent copywriting, creative and proofreading skills for both online and offl ine materials.
• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools, platforms and techniques to work collaboratively and productively.
• Ability to review and evaluate data and campaign results and pull out key trends to inform future work.
