As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

Role Overview

We are seeking two new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of Norwich Outpost. As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation fulfils its mission and operates within its legal, financial, and ethical responsibilities. Working closely with the Chair and fellow Trustees, you will provide strategic oversight and support to an evolving and dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the organisation’s vision, values, and objectives.
• Ensure legal and financial compliance as set out by the Charity Commission.
• Provide guidance and oversight to the curatorial collective, volunteers and contractors.
• Advocate for the charity within your networks and the wider community.

We’re looking for new Trustees for the Board of Spear Bournemouth Trust, which runs the Spear Programme in partnership with Resurgo Trust, equipping and empowering unemployed 16 – 24-year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Responsibilities

Governance and meeting attendance

• Attend Trustee meetings (approx. 6-9 times a year)
• Responsibility for the governance of the Trust, including meeting any legal and Charity Commission requirements
• Ensure the Trust complies with all legal duties including annual reporting, audits, insurance and data management

Local relationship building

• Build relationships with individuals in local churches to build and develop a network of supporters for the Spear Programme

Income generation

• Develop and manage relationships with local donors or companies (working with Spear coaches and other trustees)
• Steward relationships with funders, keeping them engaged in the work of Spear Bournemouth

Through grassroots initiatives, advocacy, and partnerships, the Obuyisibwomu Initiative aims to uplift marginalized groups—particularly women, youth, and children—while fostering long-term, sustainable change.

Obuyisi bw’omu Initiative addresses critical challenges faced by underserved communities in Uganda. These include limited access to mental health support, poor water sanitation and hygiene practices, barriers to quality education, and the escalating effects of climate change.

Mental Health: Stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to mental health services leave many—especially youth—without the support they need for emotional well-being.

Role Description

The Together Plan is a UK registered charity, promoting community capacity building, with a current focus on Belarus and Eastern Europe, through research, exploration, cultural events and dialogue. We help communities discover what can be achieved collectively, working alongside community members to develop skills and knowledge while providing the necessary training to build a sustainable future.

The Together Plan draws its inspiration for projects around three central pillars – ‘past’, ‘present’ and ‘future’ and each project drives a central belief which can be distilled into one line … Jewish people, wherever they are, are not alone.

The Together Plan is looking for pro-bono support to help maintain and expand our current Salesforce solution. We are looking to develop a long term relationship with a volunteer (or two) from the Salesforce ecosystem. Time commitment is expected to be on average 5 hours a month and maybe a little more if there is a specific project ongoing.

A bit more information about this role and the team

• This is a flexible role. The amount of time you offer can work to your availability and convenience.
• There may be opportunities for your activities to be fully remote and/or admin based if you'd prefer.
• You will need your own transport if you wish to attend events, ideally a car or van since items, stock and equipment will usually be needed.
• We ask that you complete training to support you in your role. This can be completed online if you have access to the internet and the necessary device (computer/laptop/tablet etc). Support can be offered or paper versions of much of the training if needed.

We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams.
