Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

We are currently inviting applications for qualified honorary counsellors/psychotherapists and student counsellors/psychotherapy trainees to join our counselling team. Kingston Bereavement Support provide free one-to-one counselling on a short-term basis of ten sessions to adults who have been bereaved.

We are looking for candidates who have had at least one year’s clinical experience, and/or have extensive experience in a hospital, hospice or bereavement service, and have acquired a minimum of 50 clinical hours.

Training on bereavement counselling will be provided, and we offer a diverse ongoing CPD training programme. This covers things like working with complex clients, substance abuse and working with clients bereaved by suicide.

Kingston Bereavement Support is primarily a face-to-face service to best support the local community. Supervision for our counsellors is free of charge and provided fortnightly.

Purpose of the Role

This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. We support clients with mental health with both clinical and non-clinical interventions. The volunteer will work with the Advocates, assisting the Inpatient Advocacy service, on the wards of The Limes and St Bernards Hospital. Our volunteer will the opportunity to support the Advocacy team with various tasks, including administration, (once trained), with the possibility of being trained as peer advocate.

Main Responsibilities

To work closely with the Advocacy team and Adult Services, Day Service Manager, attend ward rounds at The Limes and St Bernards Hospital and support the service in general. There will also be a further opportunity to train as a volunteer Peer Advocate in the future.

Tasks

All relevant training will be provided

· Attend Ward Rounds 3x per week with the Advocacy staff

· Support/work with the Advocacy staff on the Ward Round

· Provide information on the Advocacy Services

• Triage clients for the service through an onboarding process

· Register potential Clients, wanting to access Advocacy services

· Complete Advocacy Action Plans (training will be provided)

· Support with follow up surveys for those who have accessed the project and obtained their feedback to improve our services

· Support the Advocacy team to promote the service within the local community

· A willingness to undertake training courses

Purpose of the Role

This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team for a Service offering Non-Birthing Partners and/or Parents, of new mothers accessing specialist Perinatal Mental Health services and Maternal Mental Health Services. The Clients are offered an evidence-based 1:1 assessment for their mental health needs and goals, offered support and then signposted and referred to further support, (including a PSFP peer support group), as and when required.

Main Responsibilities

To work closely with the team and Adult Services, Service Manager, in supporting our Service with a variety of tasks such as supporting referral enquires, conducting the triage and onboarding of new Clients onto the service, co-facilitating monthly peer support groups, signposting/referrals to other organisations, taking care of our inbox emails and other administrative duties. There may also be further opportunities to train as a volunteer for other Services, in the future.

Gambling Harms actively impact over 7 million GB residents each year, with an estimated 1.3 million actively engaging in harmful gambling. Millions more experience legacy harms long after gambling has stopped being a 'live issue' in the lives of individuals and their family members.

GLEN is a network charity (CIO) seeking to amplify the voices of those who have experienced and intimately understand what gambling harms are, and how they manifest in individual, family and community environments.

We are a strong advocate and supporter of the power of Lived and Living Experience and accordingly seek individuals who share our vision of needing the voices and experiential knowledge embodied in LLE to have a central role in shaping our societies understanding and response to what is a growing public health concern.

Time-wise, we simply ask a few hours per month, mainly through attendance at GLEN board meetings which are usually hosted online 4-5 times per year.

Fundraising Expert

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

• Collaborate with CERAD leadership and program teams to develop and refine comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's mission, values, and programmatic needs. This includes identifying fundraising goals, target audiences, and appropriate fundraising methods. • Assist in identifying potential donors (individuals, corporations, foundations), developing compelling communication materials, and supporting efforts to cultivate and steward donor relationships. This may involve research, drafting proposals, and assisting with donor correspondence. • Contribute to the development of high-quality grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding organizations. This may include conducting research, drafting sections of proposals, and ensuring alignment with donor guidelines. • Support the development and execution of online fundraising campaigns, including peer-to-peer fundraising, social media appeals, and online donation platforms. This may involve content creation, campaign monitoring, and analysis of results. • Assist in maintaining accurate donor records, tracking fundraising progress, and generating reports on fundraising activities and outcomes. • Proactively research potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors, and provide recommendations to CERAD leadership.
