RollaDome All Skate is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Roller Skate Coach to join our team. As a volunteer, you will support the onsite delivery of roller sports sessions, helping participants develop their skills, confidence, and fitness. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Session Assistance: Support lead coaches in running onsite roller sports sessions at our clubs. 

• Safety Monitoring: Ensure safety protocols are upheld to create a secure and inclusive environment. 

• Participant Engagement: Motivate and encourage participants of all skill levels, ensuring they feel supported. 

• Event Assistance: Help coordinate and participate in events, workshops, and showcases. 

• Equipment Management: Maintain and prepare skating equipment for sessions.

You will deliver sessions at our clubs in: 

• Harrow 

• Acton 

• Hounslow 

Please note that you will need to travel to these locations for scheduled sessions and events. 

Requirements 

• A keen interest in roller sports and working with diverse groups. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with participants of all ages.

As a Volunteer Event Projects Coordinator, you will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of various events and projects for RollaDome All Skate. You will work closely with the team to ensure events run smoothly, from conception to completion, while gaining valuable experience in event management and project coordination. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in planning and coordinating events, including community outreach and engagement. 

• Help secure event logistics, including location, vendors, equipment, and resources. 

• Assist in managing event timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure everything is in place. 

• Support with the development of marketing materials and event promotion. 

• Communicate with event stakeholders, volunteers, and partners to ensure all roles are clear. 

• Help coordinate on-the-day event operations, ensuring smooth execution. 

• Assist with post-event evaluations, including collecting feedback and reporting on successes. 

• Provide administrative support for event-related tasks such as scheduling, database management, and communications.

We are looking for passionate individuals with personal lived experience of substance use recovery to join our team as Volunteer Peer Mentors within the RhEST (Regional Homeless Engagement with Substance Treatment) service. 

As a Volunteer Peer Mentor, you will help bring visible recovery to people experiencing homelessness and substance misuse. Your lived experience can inspire hope, build trust, and help others take meaningful steps toward change. 

In this role, you will: 

• Accompany individuals to appointments and group activities 

• Provide one-to-one peer support 

• Help shape and improve the services we deliver

About RhEST 

The RhEST service recruits, trains, and develops Peer Mentors and Volunteers to support and engage individuals who sleep rough in London. Our work removes barriers to accessing treatment, helping clients navigate substance misuse services from scripting to inpatient care. 

Our Peer Mentoring Program is a key part of RhEST. Built on compassion, empathy, and empowerment, it enables individuals with lived experience to help others on their journey toward recovery and reintegration into society. 

Purpose of the Role 

As a Peer Mentor Volunteer, you will: 

• Support the running and delivery of services. 

• Facilitate group sessions and activities. 

• Provide support and encouragement to people accessing community services. 

• Use your lived experience to help design and co-produce services and support new initiatives. 

• Offer one-to-one peer mentoring to service users referred to the program, where appropriate.

Ace of Clubs (AoC) is an independent charity based in Clapham that supports individuals experiencing homelessness.  Each day we serve a hot meal to around 200 adults who are experiencing homelessness, adversity and hunger.  Alongside this we offer a range of other direct services including showers, clothing, laundry, health support and advice. 

This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable insight to the health/social care sector at a longstanding direct-service charity. As a Volunteer, you will mainly support our delivery of a high quality lunch service.

Duties include:

• Sorting through food donations
• Prepping and chopping ingredients for the lunch service
• Welcoming guests and signing them in at the front desk
• Serving hot lunch meals
• Serving coffee and teas to the guests
• Washing up plates, cutlery, and mugs
• Cleaning up after lunch service

Additionally, we are always seeking volunteers with skillsets in writing and admin on computers, social media, fundraising or communications.

We are embarking on our first ever online shop and we are looking for a volunteer with some experience in this area and the area of website support to help share the workload of managing enquiries to the shop. They will also be required to update new items as they become available and allocate orders as they come in to the relevant supplier and deal with any enquiries or complaints. This is a role that will grow as the shop does and is a creative fun role as you join a warm and welcoming team. Although remote there will be the chance to meet other volunteers at fundraising events throughout the year.

The Bike Project’s mission is simple – we refurbish unwanted bikes and donate them to refugees and people seeking asylum, giving them freedom and independence whilst they rebuild their lives.

Most people seeking asylum are banned from working and forced to many live off an allowance of £8.86 per day and those lucky enough to get refugee status still face high unemployment and isolation. Having a bike links people to essential services, including foodbanks and legal advice, as well as the local community.

The Bike Project has proved that a bike can make a difference. Not only is a bike a practical tool for tackling poverty, those who receive bikes from us report they are more connected in their community, happier and healthier as a result.

Alongside our core Bike Donations Programme, we support refugee women to learn to cycle through our Pedal Power Programme; provide ongoing support with bike maintenance through our Repair or Replace Programme; and offer the opportunity for connection and friendship through our volunteer-matching Bike Buddy Programme.

As a number of trustees are coming to the end of their terms later this year, we are looking for new trustees to join this dynamic group, including a new Treasurer (see separate advert and application). 

You will be joining a highly committed group of trustees who give their time, expertise and contacts to support the charity. Our trustees are critical in enabling us to thrive. You will work together with your fellow trustees and the wider staff team to set our strategic direction and improve our work with refugees. At the heart of everything we do is the real and instant impact a bike makes to the lives of those who have been through so much. You will be part of us achieving that.
