Trailblazers’ mission is to reduce re-offending and inspire new futures. Your support will help a young man to reconnect with his community, friends and loved ones, go into education, training and employment, and give a person a sense of hope for the future.

Trailblazers has been providing mentoring services to people in prison since 1998 with ultimate aim to reduce re-offending. We provide support to men between the age of 18 - 35 in custody who have 6 months left of their prison sentence, and then 'through the gate' into their own community for up to 12 months. The Education, Training & Employment (ETE) team supports our mentees in custody to break down barriers to employability. Post-release, this continues by supporting mentees to gain meaningful and career changing roles in sector specific industries such as Construction, Engineering, Catering & Hospitality or the Self-Employment route. 

The ETE team are looking to build a team of volunteers to work with mentees in the community and to shape the existing ETE service in the Thames Valley area. We are looking for volunteer mentors who can commit for up to 12 months and give a few hours a week to support men to change their life by being inspirational role models, helping with goal setting and supporting their mentee to access ETE opportunities and ultimately gain meaningful employment. Mentoring sessions will be 1:1, take place weekly and can be done remotely by telephone or online. These sessions will last approximately one hour, but some time should also be given to liaising with Trailblazers staff and researching relevant opportunities. 

Induction training is provided, out of pocket expenses covered, a mobile phone is provided to protect your identity, a Trailblazers T-shirt and lanyard are provided, DBS costs are covered, as well as regular reflective practice sessions to support you within your role.

Do you have fundraising, communications, HR, IT or other skills and wish to become a trustee of a pioneering and ambitious charity which funds and develops girls’ education in South Sudan?  Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS) works to support a girls’ boarding school which provides free high-quality education for over 300 primary and secondary school girls, providing both education and a source of inspiration for the country.  Boarding provides safety and security for girls in a country emerging from war. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, a highly experienced UK charity which provides the practical support on the ground in South Sudan. FIGS must raise £400-500k each year to keep the school thriving, while longer-term plans are put in place for greater self-sufficiency within the country. The trustees are both strategic and operational, as the charity only has 2 employees (1.5 FTE). Fundraising skills and experience are particularly sought and the trustee will need to be prepared to give about eight hours a week to the work. Communications is also important and needs about four hours a week.  HR and IT are both valuable skills but do not have particular time requirements. We are seeking a volunteer treasurer to help us with financial management and reporting. Our turnover is less than £50,000 per year and we are therefore able to produce light touch accounts for the Charity Commission. The trustees meet less than once a month and we anticipate a small time committment for this role.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, this event engages the local community through free performances, classes, and exhibitions.

As part of this project, we are looking for a Data Analyst who can help us measure community impact, inform decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement across programme delivery. This is a hybrid volunteer role, ideal for someone based near Kingston (travel expenses will be reimbursed). The Admin Assistant role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to: 

• Gain experience in the Third Sector. 
• Develop their skills and management experience; or just simply 'give something back to their community'. 

The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing organisation of meetings and appointment
•  Organising events and conferences
• Managing databases
• Implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems
•  Liaising with staff
•  Miscellaneous tasks to support the team.

General tasks

• Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

Essential:

• You will need to have good written skills. 
• Well organised, proactive, and able to deliver tasks efficiently.
• Good time management
• To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
• Strong team player
• Ability to work independently and ask for clarification when needed.
• Able to participate at least 12 hours a week (2 days, 6 hours each day)

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.

Through monthly campaigns, creative initiatives, and community events, we celebrate trans joy and increase awareness of gender diversity using platforms like fashion, beauty, and the arts.

We’re looking for a skilled Newsletter Volunteer to help us communicate our mission, campaigns, and events through engaging email marketing.

Job Summary

As the Newsletter Volunteer, you will support the creation and execution of email campaigns that promote Trans Celebration’s initiatives and community resources. This role is perfect for someone with experience in email marketing, CRM systems, and content creation who wants to make a meaningful difference while expanding their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage email marketing campaigns that align with Trans Celebration’s mission and outreach goals.

• Write compelling content and calls-to-action for newsletters, updates, and promotions.

• Design and format newsletters using Mailchimp or similar tools, ensuring mobile responsiveness and visual appeal.

• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in messaging and layout.

• Develop and maintain segmented mailing lists for different campaign targets.

• Implement best practices in deliverability, personalisation, and A/B testing.

• Monitor and analyse campaign performance to inform future strategy.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and anti-spam regulations.

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in email marketing and automation platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce).

• 1+ years of HTML5 experience for customisation and formatting.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW is a plus.

• Strong understanding of CRM strategy, list segmentation, and customer journey mapping.

• Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills.

• Familiarity with GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance.
