About the role 

As a Regional Fundraising Volunteer, you will support Rise Scotland in generating income, raising awareness, and building community engagement through local fundraising initiatives. The role will involve event planning and support, and public engagement to help achieve regional fundraising goals. 

You will play a major part in bringing to life regional fundraising activities in line with our “Rise in the Community" concept and increase regional awareness to generate much needed additional income and amplify the impact of the work Rise Scotland do.

You will receive training and regular supervision to ensure you feel confident in your role. 

Regional locations

Whilst this is a home based role, you will occasionally attend events within Dumfries and Galloway.

What you will be doing as a Regional Fundraising Volunteer: 

• Support and assist in organising and participating in local fundraising events.
• Help with event logistics, set-up, and participant engagement to ensure smooth delivery. 
• Take part in local initiatives acquiring donors and do it yourself fundraisers. 
• Increase awareness of the organisation’s work by helping to promote regional fundraising activity. 
• Represent the organisation at schools, community groups, and public events, delivering presentations to inspire support. 
• Communicate with supporters via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. 
• Attend and contribute to meetings with the fundraising team and supporters to share updates and ideas.

A bit about this role

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You'll be

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events. These events will be based in and around the Merseyside/Liverpool area.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

NEUROMANCERS is a peer-led organisation providing autonomous, abolitionist, and accessible mental health care for and by the neurodivergent+ community.

What is ‘neurodivergent’?

Neurodivergent means 'to diverge from the expectations of neuronormativity'. We use the term neurodivergent+ to include those under and adjacent to the neurodivergent umbrella.

NEUROMANCERS work centres neurodivergent individuals, with particular emphasis on those who are also Black and/or LGBTQ+. 

We know that many people who are severely impacted by neuronormativity and ableism may not specifically identify as neurodivergent. Therefore, our term neurodivergent+ acknowledges these extended and adjacent groups.

About the Role

The Administrative & Operational Coordinator Volunteer will provide essential support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of NEUROMANCERS. This role involves handling administrative tasks, financial coordination, and operational design to improve efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support:

  • Manage straightforward administrative tasks (e.g., contacting people, making phone calls, sending emails, making queries on behalf of the organisation and the Founder).

  • Assist with proofreading and editing documents.

  • Handle contracting for guest workshops (inputting key details into pre-written contracts and ensuring they are signed).

• Financial Coordination:

  • Support basic financial management (e.g., tracking expenses).

• Operational Design:

  • Develop and implement systems to streamline repetitive tasks and improve organisational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within volunteer teams and individual workflows.

  • Designing and outlining visual representations of workflows and systems for accessibility.

Obuyisi bw’Omu Initiative empowers underserved communities in Uganda—particularly women, youth, and children—through grassroots action, advocacy, and partnerships. Obuyisi Bw'omu Initiative is seeking a dedicated Project Management Volunteer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of our programs in Mental Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Health), Quality Education, and Climate Resilience. This is a remote/virtual volunteer role. The volunteer will play a key role in ensuring that all projects are well-structured, delivered on time, and aligned with our mission to create sustainable impact in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities Program Planning & Coordination: Develop project workplans, timelines, and activity schedules across all thematic areas (Mental Health, WASH, Education, Climate Resilience). Volunteering in the shop

The Chester Shop is a beautiful community hub with two floors of creativity and vintage treasures!

Our Chester Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

Waterwatch UK is a grassroots initiative based in Southend with national ambition. We bring communities, regulators, water companies, MPs, and local authorities together to hold decision-makers accountable for water quality. We are transitioning to become a registered charity and are building a strong local base in Southend before scaling nationally.

Role Purpose
We are looking for a volunteer Communications & Marketing Officer to lead and grow Waterwatch UK’s communications. This role is central to raising awareness of our work, engaging the public, and ensuring transparency as we set up our Southend Committee, take over the Southend Water Quality Summits, and expand nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Waterwatch UK’s communications plan (starting locally, building to national reach).

• Lead on social media: create and schedule posts, engage followers, grow reach.

• Draft and publish news posts and updates on our website.

• Produce a regular newsletter for supporters, volunteers, and partners.

• Lead comms around key milestones:

  • Registration as a charity.

  • Launch of the Southend Community Committee.

Be at the heart of building a global, student-led movement for educational equity. We are launching 'Impact Champions' - a worldwide network of student societies tackling local education challenges. We need a catalyst to help us find and empower the founding leaders of this network.

In this role, you will:

• Develop creative outreach strategies to find and recruit the most passionate student leaders, starting in South Asia.

About the Role

Victory Afghanistan is a US registered 501c3 charity based in Chicago, led by Afghan women and supported by more than 100 volunteers from 27 countries. We provide free online English education, mentoring and career pathways for over 850 Afghan girls and women who are currently banned from attending school or university.

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic and entrepreneurial Career Pathways Manager to launch and lead a team focused on developing employment and internship opportunities for our senior students.

After completing our six level English programme and four semester mentoring course, students face three possible pathways:

1. Applying for international university scholarships abroad

2. Completing an online university qualification

3. Finding paid online work or remote internships — this is where you come in

Your role will be to build this pathway from the ground up, supported by a small team of Afghan volunteer project coordinators (each committing up to six hours per week). All are graduates or senior students from our programme.

You Will

• Develop a clear understanding of the online work landscape for Afghan women

• Explore safe and realistic income and internship pathways

• Identify potential partnerships with charities, NGOs, UN affiliates and socially responsible businesses

• Collaborate with Afghan project coordinators and our international leadership team

• Help shape long term systems for students to access paid work or meaningful career building experiences

Who You Are

• A committed professional with a background in charities, NGOs, international development, HR or social entrepreneurship

• Someone with excellent English and strong internet access

• Based outside Afghanistan (UK or Europe preferred for time zone, but open globally)
