About Healthwatch
The Health and Social Care Act 2012 required each local authority area to set up a Healthwatch organisation. Healthwatch gives people a powerful voice both locally and nationally. Healthwatch Barnet is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future.
Healthwatch Barnet transferred to Inclusion Barnet on 1st April 2020. It is commissioned by the London Borough of Barnet to provide the following 6 key functions:
· Gather views and understand the experiences of patients and the public
· Make people’s views known

· Recommend investigation or special review of services via Healthwatch England or directly to the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
· Provide advice and information (signposting) about access to services and support for making informed choices
· Making the views and experiences of local people known to Healthwatch England (and to other local Healthwatch organisations) and providing a steer to help it carry out its role as national champion
About Inclusion Barnet
Inclusion Barnet is a thriving peer-led charity based in North-West London. We believe in the power of experience, and this is demonstrated by all our services being led, developed, and delivered by people with lived experience of disability, including mental health issues and long-term conditions. We believe that learning to use our lived experience for social change is a skill. We have become experts in harnessing the lived experience of our staff, members, volunteers, and people who use our services to design and deliver higher quality, more person-centred services. We believe that this benefits both disabled people and society more widely. We also work to support other organisations to do the same. Our work is very much influenced by the Social Model of Disability.
Please submit a brief covering letter with your CV outlining how your skills match the job description and person specification. In your covering letter, please advise where in the country you are based, and ensure that you explain how you would draw on insights from your own lived experience of disability to deliver the role. We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.
Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.
This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.
The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.
This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.
You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do, and you will be making a huge difference to people’s lives.
To empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better whilst using our voice to achieve social change

Together with the local community, we raise funds to help our hospitals go beyond what the NHS can afford - supporting major innovations in healthcare, alongside the small things that make a big difference during a stay in hospital. After successfully delivering two major funding priorities in 2023 – and launching a third in March 2024 - we’re on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Head of Fundraising and Communications to help take our much-loved charity to the next level.
In this high-impact role, you will join the main leadership of the charity with responsibility for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to deliver fundraising priorities and diversify its income portfolio.
