The role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to fulfil the role of Head of Policy and Public Affairs. We are looking for an experienced public affairs professional who can design and implement a public and parliamentary affairs strategy and support the team’s projects across public and parliamentary affairs, research, law and legislation, and UK Government consultation and inquiry work.
The requirement
- Demonstrable experience of working at management level in a public policy role in a topic related to disability, diversity and inclusion in the UK.
- Strong experience in setting and delivering a public and parliamentary affairs strategy.
- Strong experience of developing of new insights and policy positions within a team in an organisation working with other internal teams (such as comms and media) to communicate and promote those positions.
- In depth knowledge of the disability and reasonable adjustments element of UK legislation, and equality law as per the Equality Act 2010, the Employment Rights Act, Health and Safety at Work.
- Experience of acting as public facing spokesperson for an organisation.

We are looking for an experienced Business and Human Rights Manager to join our committed team as a maternity cover, who will hit the ground running.
The role is diverse including developing and delivering training and services with a variety of businesses, with opportunities to generate new funding to drive impact and sustainability, to project manage a collaborative programme and to try out new ideas. You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Co-CEO, Head of Business Development, and rest of our committed team across the world.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- You will deliver interactive training workshops and deliver premium quality services to businesses to support them to embed responsible recruitment and fair work and tackle modern slavery in their operations and supply chains.
- You will be responsible for ensuring high quality technical content across our organisation and sharing technical insights internally and externally.
- You will manage and grow Stronger Together’s business relations in a variety of sectors, both in the UK and globally to drive impact and generate funding.
- You will project manage client projects from start to finish and, dependent on candidate experience, manage our UK Construction and Property collaborative programme.

Who you are:
- An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience)
- An excellent trainer, with experience of developing and delivering training to businesses
- The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals
- Experienced in maintaining and developing corporate sponsor relations including writing client and grant proposals
- A strong project manager and great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those
- A professional who has worked with or within the construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, apparel, finance or care sector on responsible business behaviour
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the organisation professionally at a variety of events
- A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders
- Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.
- Knowledge of social compliance audit and certification methodologies and audit quality management would be a bonus.

Are you a dog-loving marketing professional who has experience of building communications plans for regional audiences?
We’re looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to shape and deliver a regional, audience centric marketing strategy to promote our rehoming centres in the South East of England, to expand local awareness of our brand, drive engagement from local communities and encourage more people to adopt a dog.
What does this role do?
As Regional Marketing Manager, you will:
- develop a strong knowledge of our audiences in South East England, understanding the areas local to our rehoming centres. Translating this knowledge and insight into bespoke, targeted activity for the audience, you will be responsible for driving awareness of the brand in the region,
- work with other teams within Marketing and Communications to translate organisational strategy into regional plans. Working with local rehoming centres, you will be responsible for understanding the regional perspective, and presenting suitable alternatives or solutions where necessary,
- plan and deliver 360 marketing plans across paid, owned and earned channels, ensuring they are on brand tonally and visually, relevant to the region and ensuring they meet key objectives and targets,
- lead and motivate a small team of Regional Campaigns Officers based in the region providing development, mentorship and guidance to deliver regional activity that meets both organisational, and region specific objectives,
- build a strong working relationship with both London based and rehoming centre based teams.
Please note, this role will be hybrid between home and any of our rehoming centres in the South East of England, including Basildon, Canterbury, Harefield, Shoreham-by-Sea or Salisbury. It will involve significant travel across the region, as well as the need to work from the London office occasionally.
First stage interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for 1st and 2nd April 2026, with second stage interviews on 9th and 10th April 2026, on Teams. This role is being offered as a fixed term contact until October 2027.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need significant experience across the communications mix, and leading, planning and delivering end-to-end communications campaigns, with a strong understanding of how these campaigns align with a wider strategy. You’ll have experience of working in PR, social media, audience insights and project management methodologies. You’ll need excellent communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships, as we’re looking for someone who can work closely with our rehoming centre teams and marketing colleagues alike. We’re looking for two Regional Campaign Officers who will be responsible for delivering 360 marketing plans for our rehoming centres in the South East of England to expand local awareness of our brand, drive engagement from local communities and encourage more people to adopt a dog.
What does this role do?
As Regional Campaign Officer, you’ll:
- deliver localised marketing and communications content and material focused on specific rehoming centres in the region. This will include immersing yourself in the local community and creating comms assets such as press releases and social media content,
- support the Regional Marketing Manager to act as a conduit between the rehoming centre and central MarComms teams, aligning plans and activity to ensure that national strategy can be relevant for regional audience,

Team and Role Purpose
The ‘Global Legacy Lead’ is part of Save the Children International’s (SCI) Global Fundraising Team. The purpose of this team is to catalyse growth of fundraising globally, with particular focus on individual giving and unrestricted income, and working to develop a strong and healthy global market portfolio. This team of global fundraising experts works closely with Save the Children member offices around the world, providing them with strategic and implementation support in priority areas and fostering a vibrant fundraising community. The team also ensures global leadership and coordination for our humanitarian fundraising strategies/campaigns, collects and reports global fundraising/marketing KPIs, coordinates international benchmarking initiatives and provides strategic fundraising analysis and actionable insights to members.
Role purpose
Save the Children is pursuing an ambitious global growth agenda, with long-term, sustainable, unrestricted income as a critical enabler of impact for children. Legacy fundraising represents a significant, yet underleveraged opportunity across our global movement.
The Global Legacy Lead will serve as Save the Children’s senior global expert on Gifts in Wills, leading the creation, evolution and global roll‑out of the organisation’s Legacy Strategy. This includes setting the strategic direction, elevating legacy fundraising as a core driver of long-term unrestricted income, and ensuring Members have the capability, tools and insight needed to maximise growth.
The role provides high-level strategic guidance, deep technical expertise, and cross-market leadership to strengthen pipelines, shape market strategies, build capacity and embed a culture that recognises legacy income as essential to financial sustainability and future impact for children.

- Provide global guidance on pipeline forecasting, ROI analysis, investment planning and long‑term growth modelling.
o Market Support, Capability Building, Tools & Knowledge Management
- Identify high‑potential markets and provide targeted strategic support to build strong national legacy strategies and deliver deep 1‑to‑1 support to key practitioners, strengthening skills, capacity and confidence.
- Lead the global community of legacy practitioners, driving ambition and sharing best‑practice marketing, stewardship and supporter‑journey insights.
- Develop or refine data‑mining and prospect‑identification tools (e.g., propensity modelling) to help Members identify high‑potential audiences.
- Maintain a global repository of best practices, ensuring easy access to optimised assets, testing frameworks, creative content and strategic insights.
- Track global and market‑level legacy performance to inform strategy and monitor progress.
o Contribute and Integrate Across Fundraising Programmes
- Collaborate with Philanthropy and Donor Development Leads to ensure an aligned pipeline‑building strategy and reduce functional silos as well as supporting or leading relevant cross‑team projects, including areas such as Mid‑Value that strongly intersect with legacy.
o External Sector Engagement & Market Intelligence
- Represent Save the Children in global fundraising networks to stay at the forefront of innovation and emerging trends in Legacy fundraising, to participate in benchmarking peer performance and encouraging sector collaboration.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Significant experience in strategic legacy leadership roles in large fundraising organisations.
- Experience of leading the development and implementation of large-scale legacy strategies and strategic initiatives that require deep stakeholder engagement in complex international organisations.
- Proven experience of delivering legacy fundraising with a demonstrable record of success in securing pledgers and developing a legacy pipeline. Experience in doing this in multiple markets is an advantage or at the global level in an international team.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets across multiple channels and markets to identify actionable insights. Adept at understanding market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships and work effectively in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment respecting diversity.
- Strong personal organisational and self-management skills with the ability to lead and work in teams and to motivate others.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Additional language skills in one or more of our members' working languages would be an asset.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or relatedand/or equivalent relevant experience to a senior level.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and data analysis tools.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English. Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
