About the role
As a Contact Centre Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, supporters, and fundraisers. Your mission will be to provide an exceptional customer experience by keeping interactions Epic, Emotional, and Easy. Your daily tasks will include:
- Responding to and resolving inbound queries via telephone, email, and live chat.
- Providing information, taking donations, and resolving customer complaints or queries.
- Using our ticketing and CRM systems to update customer records with preferences and reasons for contact.
In this dynamic and customer focused role, you'll harness your active listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills to guarantee a seamless and positive customer experience.
About you:
We are looking for candidates with the ability to remain calm and patient in fast paced environment, providing consistent and engaging support, as well as the following key skills:
- Contact Centre Experience: Preferably you will have a proven track record in a contact centre or call handling environment, demonstrating your ability to handle inbound queries effectively.
- Passion for Customer Service Excellence: A genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making every interaction a positive and memorable one.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally to customers and colleagues.
- Digital Proficiency: Excellent IT skills and able to navigate multiple systems, allowing for seamless navigation and efficient customer support.
- Multitasking: You have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and manage your own time efficiently.

Working arrangements
This is a 6-month fixed term contract. While initially this role is for six months, could potentially lead to permanent job opportunities.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Birmingham office (B37 7YE), 9-5 Monday to Friday, totalling 35 hours per week.
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. At the moment the team typically go in once a week, on a Wednesday. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Interview Process:
Our interview process involves two stages. We will conduct the initial stage via telephone interviews, followed by an assessment centre, which will take place through in person at our Birmingham Office.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual to join our team as a Supporter Care Advisor. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a 12 month fixed term contract and will be based at our National Cat Centre. In return you will receive a salary of up to £26,796 per annum plus excellent benefits.
This role is on a hybrid basis, meaning a mix of working from home and at Cats Protection's National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate, East Sussex.

The Supporter Services team is part of the Cats Protection Marketing & Income Generation directorate. We answer queries from supporters about memberships, sponsorships, lotteries, raffles and donations. We also record and update the contact preferences of our supporters to ensure we only send communications which are wanted. The Supporter Services team is also responsible for the management of the Gift Aid scheme for Cats Protection, claiming money back from HMRC to provide much needed assistance to the many cats and kittens in need of help. We look to provide the best service possible to our supporters, although we never stop striving to improve this service.
Responsibilities of our Supporter Care Advisor:
As our Supporter Care Advisor you will provide a first-class level of customer care to current and potential supporters to secure financial and non-financial support, nurture relationships and increase levels of engagement, ensuring supporters feel valued and a key part of our work. You will be the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries and direct communication with supporters via a variety of channels (including inbound and outbound telephone calls, letters, email and social media response), helping to build loyal, committed relationships with supporters.
What we’re looking for in our Supporter Care Advisor:
- Experience working within a supporter relations or customer care environment
- A keen desire to provide excellent supporter/customer care
- Experience handling complex complaints and queries
- Hardworking team player but also able to work independently off own initiative

Solace’s Immigration service provides high quality immigration advice to survivors of domestic abuse who have insecure immigration status. The Immigration Service is a pan London provision working with women with insecure immigration status who have been affected by VAWG including sexually exploited and trafficked women.
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced OISC level 2/3 immigration advisor/solicitor to join our pan-London Immigration service in Camden.
As part of a team of legally trained advisors, you will be responsible for assisting women affected by domestic or sexual abuse with uncertain immigration status. Your role involves managing complex cases and collaborating closely with the team to provide comprehensive support to women as they rebuild their lives.
About You
You will have substantive experience in providing immigration advice and conducting casework, with the relevant Level 2/3 OISC qualification or equivalent (qualified solicitor) Please note only candidates with the relevant OISC qualification (or equivalent) and legal experience will be considered.
We seek someone who is with strong caseworker skills, with a commitment to keep survivors at the centre of service delivery whilst also delivering on service targets. You will have a passion for ending violence against women and girls as well as a thorough understanding of immigration law and an understanding of the barrier’s women with insecure immigration status face in accessing legal advice and support.

We are delivering employment support in the South West of England as part of the Refugee Employability Programme (REP). Support, which will follow our STEP model, is offered to refugees to develop their skills and identify the opportunities they need to secure sustainable employment. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Employment Advisor to join the team providing support to clients across the South West of England.
The Role
You will provide employment support to refugee clients enrolled in the Refugee Employability Programme (REP) and help them to achieve their employability goals. You will be the main point of contact for clients enrolled in the project, delivering one on one support across a variety of employability activities including updating CVs, writing cover letters, searching for jobs, applying for jobs, finding volunteering, work experience and training opportunities and preparing for interviews.
You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of clients such as voluntary and work placements and achieving and sustaining paid employment.
About you
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience in successfully supporting refugees into sustainable employment
- Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by unemployed people to finding work, including those who first language is not English
- Experience of providing advice and guidance and supervising a caseload of clients
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills and the ability to work remotely with confidence
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with clients with varying levels of English
- Knowledge of using salesforce or other similar CRM system desirable

Main Responsibilities
Supporter care advisors are responsible for being the first point of contact for supporters and members of the public dealing with a wide range of enquiries via phone, email, web chat, social media and letter. Advisors provide excellent customer service by putting the supporter at the heart of everything we do. Capturing data and feedback accurately after each contact is key to help us identify trends and new ways of working. They will also thank supporters for their generous donations by creating bespoke acknowledgements within agreed timeframes. We also provide a first line self-empowerment support service where advisors are expected to manage individual cases.
Ideal Candidate
Experience working in a contact centre is preferred. In addition, providing information both verbally and in writing to a high standard is key. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high volume of enquiries and have the necessary computer skills (incl. Word, Excel and Outlook), with the ability and willingness to learn new procedures through training provided. You will also be expected to react and deal with change in a positive manner, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the emotional intelligence needed and active listening skills.

Job Purpose
The Advice Centre at The Harbour Project is the heart of the charity. Seeing 30 to 40 people a day, our team of Advisors provide key help and support to Harbour Visitors (our beneficiaries), responding to a variety of questions and issues. For those seeking asylum, this includes: health-related matters, access to education, accessing asylum support, contacting immigration solicitors, Migrant Help, and the Home Office. Knowsley Carers Centre is a growing charity, established in ~October 1997 to support the borough's 16000 unpaid/family carers.
A highly motivated and experienced person is required to prove welfare benefits advice to unpaid carers.

Location: Predominantly based in Kirkby but will be part of the team at Knowsley Carers Centre and will be expected to spend some time at other venues across Knowsley.
Job Purpose: To find and assist Carers and Young Carers Families in Knowsley by providing welfare benefits advice, accessible information through advice and support, drop-in sessions, home visiting and a variety of other methods highlighted by Carers in Knowsley.
Duties and Responsibilities
Welfare Benefits
1)Provide casework covering the full range of welfare benefits.
2)Act for the client where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning.
3)Negotiate with third parties as appropriate.
4)Ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits.
5)Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate.
6)Make home/outreach visits as necessary.
7)Provide advice and assistance to other staff across the whole range of issues.
8)Maintain case records for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation.
9)Ensure that all work conforms to the organisations systems and procedures.
10)Keep up to date with legislation.

Information and Support
1) Identify hidden Carers and provide them with high quality information, advice and support. This will include:
a)Answering enquiries about available services, and other organisations of interest to Carers
b)Sending Carers appropriate leaflets and application forms.
c)Referring Carers for carers’ assessment
d)Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing.
e)To signpost carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.
2) Keep up-to-date with services, and organisations relevant to Carers.
3) To promote the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.
4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.
Casework/Individual Support
1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.
2) Attend meetings, case conferences, complaints procedures etc. as necessary to support individual Carers.
3) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit.
4) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.
Administration and Monitoring
1) Produce statistics and other monitoring reports to the management
2) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.
3) To enter information on to the database.
General Tasks
1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.
3) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute
to establishments around Knowsley.
4) To attend and actively participate in regular supervision, team meetings and annual appraisal sessions.
5) To undertake relevant training and staff development activities as required.
6) To undertake occasional evening/weekend work where necessary.
7) To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager.

You should fully appreciate the patience, resilience and self-motivation that are required to support a dispersed and diverse caseload of complex individuals. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, particularly in managing time and caseload, whilst recognising that they are one crucial element of a wider team of support who will need to work collaboratively to get the best outcome for clients. Experience of working with veterans would be beneficial although not essential, and knowledge and experience of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) method of working would be welcomed.

Who are we looking for?
You will need to be supportive and empathetic with great communication and listening skills. Please note this is a fixed term contract for one year.
Our organisation is transforming the way in which it works and the HR team will be at the heart of these changes, supporting managers and teams on a variety of projects.
You’ll have worked in a similar role at this level. You’ll have substantial experience of advising on grievances, disciplinary matters and sickness absence. In addition, you will undertake general HR administration, payroll input each month and provide cover for colleagues within the HR Operations team as and when required.
