The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.

Salary: £35,100 - £38,700 (35 hours FTE) depending on experience

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.

Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.

You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Producer, with strong climate credentials, to lead our small, dedicated production team. As the Executive Producer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the editorial direction in close collaboration with the hosts; oversee the production process end-to-end, including acting as Producer on episodes; and ensure the podcast maintains its high standards of quality and impact. Working closely with the hosts, content creators, and other stakeholders, you will drive the strategic vision of the podcast and spearhead efforts to grow its audience and influence.

Given the size of the team, this is a hands-on role, combining storytelling and editorial excellence, alongside strong climate knowledge and a commitment to driving action and impact.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive and well organised administrator to develop their skills as part of the Quality and Standards team delivering administrational and engagement support for the teams’ key objectives in the raising of standards with quality assurance process to ensure projects, activities, products, platforms and services are organised and executed to a high standard. Role Purpose

To provide highly efficient administrative support and be proactive within the Standards Department with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and a strong teamwork ethic.
The purpose of this role is to provide high-level general administration for the Quality and Standards team who is responsible for raising standards through the learning lab educator platform, using benchmarking resource products, to empower young people and champion future skills.

Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Administrative support to raise standards - Learning Lab:
• Support the engagement plan activities for educators to use the online learning platform and to access educational benchmarked resources.
• To aid the Digital Skills Development Manager to support the creation of editorial and marketing scripts.

• To assist the Quality and Standards Manager to develop teaching tools for educators in colleges and training providers.

3. Support to champion future skills – Competition portfolio reviews and audit:

Dog A.I.D. is recruiting for the exciting new role of Programme Support and Engagement Officer. The post holder will play a key role across client support and volunteer engagement functions within the charity. They will work alongside our operations and training teams to support and engage our existing network of volunteer trainers and support them effectively to ensure their long-term retention. As well as providing administration for our existing volunteer CPD offer, the post-holder will support the roll-out, administration and evaluation of two crucial new projects, a trainer mentoring programme and an in-house assessor’s course.

The Programme Support and Engagement Officer will also develop trusting and empathetic relationships with our clients, engaging and supporting them as they navigate the Assistance Dog training programme.

This role is person-centred and focused on building great relationships with clients and volunteers. You will often be the first point of contact for volunteers and clients contacting the charity, so an empathetic, diplomatic and professional approach is essential, as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills. The role post-holder will be expected to undertake a wide array of administrative tasks related to programme support, so it is essential that the right candidate is able to manage and work through a heavy and varied workload efficiently and effectively.

Dog A.I.D. has a small staff team so it is essential that the post-holder is a strong team member who is proactive and self-motivated. They need to be able to see “the bigger picture”, identify priorities and use their initiative to “get on and do” what needs to be done. Dog Assistance in Disability (A.I.D.) is a unique organisation, empowering disabled people to train their own pet dogs, supported by professional dog trainers as volunteers.

Dog A.I.D. was established in 1992 to assist people with physical disabilities, improving their quality of life by helping them train their own pet dogs to provide assistance with day-to-day tasks.

In 1996, the Dog A.I.D. Scheme was launched nationally at Crufts and today has a team of staff, volunteer trainers and assessors based across the country supporting over 168 Assistance Dog partnerships, both in training and fully qualified, with our office base in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

As of May 2024, there are currently 98 fully qualified Dog A.I.D. dogs throughout the country, with 70 more in training with 95 voluntary Dog A.I.D. Trainers. The training takes up to two years with both dog and disabled owner (‘client’) receiving specialist education from our network of trainers and attaining fully accredited Assistance Dog status through three distinct stages.

Dog A.I.D. is a member of Assistance Dogs UK, a voluntary coalition of Assistance Dog charities that aims to promote the freedom, independence and rights of people with assistance dogs across the UK. All Assistance Dogs UK dogs adhere to the highest training and welfare standards as set out by Assistance Dogs International and the International Guide Dogs Federation.

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to working with a well known medical charity as they hunt for an Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Officer to support them for a 12-month period. 

Using your internal communications skills and understanding of organisational change management, you’ll coordinate, plan and deliver effective engagement strategies for internal change programmes across the charity. 

Working primarily between the Internal Engagement & Communications and Delivery Services teams, you’ll collaborate on, plan, and deliver communication strategies that take colleagues on a supported journey through change, creating content that translates complex topics into compelling narratives to drive participation and adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver an engagement strategy for internal change communications within the charity, which helps support colleagues with the understanding and adoption of change.
• Plan and create content for internal channels, selecting the most appropriate tools to ensure colleagues are kept informed and engaged, regardless of location or working style. 
• Use audience and business insight to develop engagement strategies that are tailored to recipients, appreciating that colleagues are based in different locations and roles.
• Oversee the involvement of various groups across the charity, to enable us to hear the voices and opinions of our workforce.
• Build effective relationships across the charity, acting as a trusted adviser to project teams, leaders and colleagues.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful internal communication and engagement strategies, ideally including for change related programmes.
•  Strong planning skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to translate complex topics and create compelling narrative for different audiences.
• An understanding of change adoption processes (e.g. PROSCI/ADKAR) is beneficial but not essential.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven experience of influencing and collaborating to achieve positive outcomes and engagement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think creatively.

Role Objective

To work with the Commercial Marketing Manager to drive commercial interest in Kooth Digital Health’s services in the UK healthcare setting by supporting the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, online and in-person events and customer database management.

Responsibilities

Digital Campaign Delivery:

• Working closely with the Commercial Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and logistics of various commercially focused campaigns ensuring deadlines are met and key milestones and metrics are achieved.
• Assist in planning digital marketing campaigns, providing support in defining objectives, identifying target audiences, and coordinating campaign logistics.
• Aid in the management of content on our digital platforms, such as email, social media, and online advertising, by helping with scheduling, monitoring engagement and responding to inquiries.
• Provide assistance in the implementation and management of email campaigns, ensuring proper organisation of workflows and automated drip campaigns, and helping with metric tracking to inform continuous improvement and conversion rate optimisation efforts.

Event Management:

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent work experience (Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience)
• Demonstrable experience in event management as well as evidence of collaborating with a range of internal and external senior stakeholders to deliver high quality, unique in-person experiences
• Proven track record in a previous digital marketing function with evidence of campaigns/collateral/content that you have created or contributed to and insight into their performance

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical.
