About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Manager to join our Communications team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing our communication strategies to support our vision and strategy, working closely with the marketing, brand and digital teams to ensure cohesive customer journey and impactful messaging across all channels online and offline.
Additionally, this role will involve account management of communications deliverables across the organisation and strategic transport outcome areas and building strong close relationships with key stakeholders in the sector as required.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for a range of different B2B and B2C audiences that profile our work and promote our grant, innovation and research products and services ensuring smooth customer journeys at all touchpoints.
- Ensure that there is a smooth customer journey for different audiences across identified touchpoints, maximising the impact of our content and CTAs for all audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing, brand, digital and press teams to develop our content themes, and create content for various platforms including social media, website, email campaigns, and press releases.
- Collaborate with the brand and marketing team to deliver online and offline events.
- Support in delivering brand and communications activities for key partnerships and stakeholders as required.
- Manage projects in an account management type structure, ensuring timely and effective execution of communication plans and initiatives.
- Anticipate and manage risks and external factors that could influence the communications message, ensuring proactive and strategic responses.
- Monitor, analyse and report on communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies, KPIs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement to communications and customer journey.
- Collaborate with innovation, research, and grant team to set creative, clear strategic communications goals that raise awareness and profile our work in the right way, with the right audiences. This will involve creative brainstorming of tools and tactics as well as gathering examples of best practice from industry.
About you:
Must haves:
- Extensive experience in strategic communications, with a strong background in marketing, branding, and digital.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies for a range of audiences promoting a range of CTAs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Experience of creating a range of content for different platforms, from video and infographic to web pages and social media posts.
- Experience of managing communications partnerships and or campaigns with third party organisations.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and evidenced experience in ability to record and report effectively on communications projects through systems such as Microsoft Planner.
- Proficiency in using communication and marketing tools, such as social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to delivery – key part of this role will be to ensure that relevant senior communications colleagues are kept informed and consulted on key projects.

Extra Information
- The role is based In Harlow, Essex at Motability’s offices, easily commutable from London, 30 minutes from Liverpool Street station or 18 minutes from Tottenham Hale station.

As Events & Engagement Officer, you will work closely with our Operational Support Team to design and deliver a varied programme of online and in-person events. These will support the wellbeing of our Members (adult family members of injured veterans and serving personnel), reduce isolation, and build understanding of the challenges faced by military families.
The Ripple Pond is a UK-wide charity that supports the adult family members of physically or psychologically injured Armed Forces personnel and veterans. We provide peer support, structured guidance, and signposting to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation for families who often carry complex emotional burdens in silence. Our work is rooted in lived experience and built on a foundation of inclusion, compassion, and community.
The Operational Support Team lies at the heart of our frontline service. It delivers one-to-one support, coordinates safeguarding and triage, and ensures Members are connected to the right pathways at the right time. It is a trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent team that works with care and professionalism, ensuring that no one caring for an injured veteran or serviceperson feels alone.
You will start your time with The Ripple Pond by embedding into the Operations Team for approximately two months. This will give you a firm grounding in the lived experiences of our Members and ensure you’re fully trained to act as Duty Officer. As Duty Officer, you’ll receive and respond to referrals and enquiries, complete needs assessments, carry out risk assessments, and navigate Members to appropriate internal or external support. This may involve responding to distressing and traumatic situations, including domestic abuse, suicidal ideation, addiction, and other complex issues. You will also be expected to attend (online) multi-agency meetings.
This role requires emotional resilience, sound judgment, and exceptional communication skills. You will need to work flexibly, including some evenings and occasional weekends, and travel to a limited number of face-to-face events and meetings throughout the year. In return, you will be part of a supportive, values-driven team making a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities

Working with your colleagues to design and deliver an engaging and inclusive programme of digital and in-person events that support Member wellbeing, build confidence, reduce isolation, and encourage peer connection.

Co-develop activities such as themed discussion groups, creative and recreational workshops (e.g. book clubs, craft groups, quiz nights, art workshops, journaling, fitness, etc.), and skill-building sessions.

Plan and lead external engagement sessions for professionals and stakeholders to improve understanding of the Armed Forces family experience.

Manage the full event cycle, from concept and scheduling to promotion, delivery, and evaluation.

Work closely with the Operational Support Team to ensure all activities reflect Member needs and organisational aims.

Act as Duty Officer on a rota basis, including during periods of staff leave or absence. This includes responding to new enquiries, completing needs and risk assessments, and triaging Members into appropriate pathways of support.

We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated individual to help drive and develop vision, mission and strategy to progress the youth work of both the Schools and College Pastors initiatives under the Ascension Trust umbrella and as lead for the Synergy Network.
The focus in this role:
- Coordinating and supporting the Schools and College Pastor initiatives and developing strategies to grow and strengthen the work of our teams and also to promote the network and collaborations with other organisations.
- Enthuse and engage with stakeholders who want to work to combat serious youth violence, including faith groups, police and public sector.
- Develop and implement a future strategy for School and College Pastors and the Synergy Network.
- Develop funding bids for future initiatives such as the prevention of serious youth violence, working with the Youth Endowment Fund, Violence Reduction Units, and developing funding streams for the School and College Pastor initiatives with appropriate funding bodies.
- Develop vision, strategy and training for growth in new and existing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a communications strategy for the Synergy Network, including events organisation, website and social media maintenance.
- Support the Synergy Network board by organising events, maintaining the website and social media platforms.
- This is a role that allows for flexibility and creativity in approach with training and support available to grow the individual in post.

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager to join our Communications and Sales Team.
The Marketing Manager will plan, manage and deliver the Lyric’s marketing and audience development campaigns to achieve financial targets and maximise attendance across all activity, with a focus on Theatre productions. The Marketing Manager will support the wider Communications and Sales team to ensure activity reaches the broadest possible audience, highlighting our impact and positively developing our reach and reputation.
Working closely with the Director of Communications & Sales, Senior Marketing Manager, Sales & Box Office Manager and Press & Marketing Assistant, they will support the delivery of the wider strategy of positioning the Lyric as an important part of London’s vibrant theatre scene.

Role Overview:
The Senior Designer will help us deliver creative content which encourages our audiences to take action with us. Working across printed assets (such as mailers and brochures) to video (for feedback emails or social media ads) to digital ads (paid social, display etc.), you will have an array of creative skills and won’t be afraid to think outside the box to deliver content which inspires.
Working at a senior level, you will be comfortable managing your briefs and projects, working to deadlines and communicating clearly with stakeholders across the organisation. You will act as a guardian of our brand, delivering creative which meets brand guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
· Produce effective creative assets which inspire our audiences to take action with MH. These assets could be across the following mediums, but not limited to:
o Digital static banners/ads
o Video including reels
o Gifs
o HTML5
o Printed collateral such as brochures or mailers
· Confident working across the full adobe suite, as well as Figma with a willingness to learn new tools as needed.
· Be a guardian of our brand, ensuring all collateral produced fits our brand guidelines.
· As part of the fundraising team, you will lead on creative brainstorming sessions to think about how we can create content which further inspires and engages our audiences – putting the audience’s needs at the forefront of all design choices.
· Design tasks may also be needed to support teams outside of fundraising as needed.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
· Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technology to continually improve the team’s output and efficiency.
· Liaise with external vendors and printers to ensure the quality of production materials.
Essential:

· Creative designer who goes above and beyond.
· Receptive to design feedback.
· High level of video editing skills for social and Tv appeals. (Premier pro)
· High level of graphic design skill including knowledge of print.
· Social media savvy with an eye for spotting upcoming trends we could take part in.
· Clear communicator able to share rationale on creative elements.
· Strong organisation and time management skills.
· Experience in an agile fundraising environment where priorities can change.
· Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
· Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
· Experience working in or with nonprofits or mission-driven organisations is highly preferred.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of fundraising, preferably in an Islamic charity.
· Experience with task management software.
· A basic understanding of Islamic values and Muslim practices.
· An awareness of Health and Safety values.
· Full licence and access to a car to drive to meet with community leaders, partners potential event venues and collaborators.
