About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work across all areas of resident services provision including customer services, repairs and tenancy management. Ideally suited to someone looking to expand an existing career in housing, this new role will offer the opportunity to collaborate with technical and housing specialists to develop, co-ordinate and manage a range of projects within the team, as well as support the day to day operations of English Rural. Often working at pace and balancing competing demands, the role requires someone with exceptional organisational and project co-ordination skills.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record working in housing services, ideally in a housing association or property related environment. You will need good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate and work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisation and time management skills are essential to the success of this role, along with sound judgement and decision making. Experience in achieving excellent levels of customer service are essential. The right candidate will have sufficient skills, knowledge and expertise, either from a formal qualification or direct experience.

Position: S11280 Stroke Support Coordinator – 3 posts

The Role

Project Overview:  

The Barnsley Street Project is a Community Mental Health Pilot aimed at delivering continuous, person-centred mental health care to underserved populations in PCN1 (Bethnal Green). This initiative is a collaborative effort between East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA), and the Look Ahead Housing Association. Driven by the voice of lived experience, the project is designed to address the systemic gaps in mental health services, particularly for marginalised communities.  

Purpose of the role:  

To identify and coordinate an effective support service for unpaid carers who support residents who access the Barnsley Street Project, with the aim of supporting carers to have their needs met as well as develop a healthy and sustainable caring role.    

To facilitate access for unpaid carers in the Barnsley Street Project to appropriate support services, both statutory and voluntary. To provide comprehensive support and information to families and carers. To raise awareness of carers’ needs with professionals in the project environment and contribute to carer friendly policies.   

The post will involve the direct provision of services, referral to and between services, collaborative work with other local agencies and outreach work. The post-holder will provide advocacy, referral, and ongoing practical and emotional support to unpaid carers through individual and group work.    

Responsibilities: 

• Identification and Support: Proactively identify carers of residents who utilise the Barnsley Street Project, and provide them with tailored support, ensuring their well-being is prioritised. 

• Information and Guidance: Offer information about available resources, support services, and community networks to assist carers effectively. 

• Communication Liaison: Facilitate communication between clinical staff and carers, ensuring they are kept informed about the patient's condition, treatment plan, and any discharge process.

• Training and Education: Organise workshops and peer support groups to equip carers with essential skills for their caregiving role.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about technology and digital inclusion, with the skills to coordinate and develop a service. 

You’ll need:

• Experience coordinating or delivering services—ideally involving technology and disabled people.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and AI applications for people who are disabled.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to liaise effectively with volunteers, staff and sector partners.
• Excellent communication skills, with a range of audiences, including through written report writing.
• Experience and confidence using Microsoft 365, databases ideally including Microsoft Access, and Customer Relationship Management systems.
• A collaborative, person-centred approach.
• Ability to travel across Surrey and to work independently when required.

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Lived or professional experience of sensory disability.
• Experience of coordinating a digital inclusion service for people with a sensory impairment.

The FIGO Fistula Surgery Training Initiative (FSTI) project has been in existence for 10 years and in that time has become recognised as a key global project, instrumental in delivering capacity building and improved healthcare outcomes for women, with an emphasis on the global south. After 10 years the senior project manager has stepped down and FIGO are seeking to use this as an opportunity to review the project delivery model.

The Interim Senior Project Manager role will lead the FIGO Fistula Project on an interim basis and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the project during that period. In addition, they will be expected to review the project delivery model, ensuring that the project aligns to best practice and delivers in the most effective and efficient manner possible for the future, whilst ensuring agreed project outcomes.

Purpose of the job

Working across the Network Delivery Department, you will support the efficient day to day administration and co-ordination of the teams. You will play a critical role providing administrative and co-ordination support for the Network Delivery Department ensuring we have strong processes and ways of working to deliver our ambitious goals. You will support individual project teams to deliver specific work streams to help us enable all young people to thrive.

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and coordination support to the Network Delivery Department to ensure the smooth running of the Department. This includes but is not limited to:

• Support the implementation of new systems and processes across the Department and ensure all are kept up to date

• Maintain team and departmental inboxes and provide first point of contact for enquiries, working across the team to ensure efficient communication and stakeholder satisfaction

• Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers relating to the delivery of our youth work programmes and activities with our networks

• Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, minute taking and booking venues/ catering

• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of events and public affairs activity related to the department

• Support ongoing work on departmental process improvement and new filing systems on SharePoint

• Manage and maintain databases and CRM; champion CRM use across the department

• Maintaining budgets, as appropriate

• Booking and arranging travel for young people participating in our programmes

• Manage departmental meetings and support with arranging team away days

• Managing the creation of a range of project documents using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other software packages

• Support the development of marketing and communications materials

The Role:

As a member of the Work Experience team, you will play a key role in facilitating meaningful work experience placements for young people in Tower Hamlets. In this role, you'll work closely with local employers in Tower Hamlets and the City of London to support them in delivering engaging placements.

Responsibilities will include actively recruiting and onboarding new employers through phone calls, online meetings and carrying out on-site health and safety checks. In addition, you’ll support the Work Experience Manager in delivering school-based sessions, such as assemblies and Q&A drop-ins, to help prepare young people for their placements. You’ll also assist in coordinating placements at The Switch by creating schedules and supporting young people with their tasks. During delivery weeks, the team is responsible for providing responsive support to employers and schools. In case of any issues, you may be required to work from the office five days per week during these periods. 

Details:

· The role sits in the Work Experience team and reports to Work Experience Manager

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 to 3 days a week, except on delivery weeks where you may be required to be in the office 5 days per week

· Flexibility may be required to cover meetings or deliver events outside of these hours and WFH days

· Start date end of June/early July 2025
