Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5–18-year-olds.
We help individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. We offer opportunities for individuals to get support to allow them to recover from or live with mental ill health.
Each year, we help 15,000 people experiencing mental ill health.
About the Role
Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) is a local Mind, we are an independent charity, although affiliated to national Mind – the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, we are not funded by our affiliation, we are responsible for raising our own funds directly through contracts, grants and fundraising.

This Grants Officer role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis (35 hours a week). In this role, you will report to the Head of Grants and Programmes and support the development, management, and promotion of the foundation's grants programmes. We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. Research funding comes from a mixture of grants/contracts from government, foundations, and (to a lesser extent) corporates.
Responsibilities will include producing regular quarterly forecasts and the annual budget, supporting project costing, overseeing financial management of research projects, and providing variance analysis. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You service in Somerset working alongside our current RNID Near You in care homes service, Somerst Foundation Trusts Audiology team, and RNID’s Health Programme to develop and deliver a new self-referral pathway and wraparound service in the Somerset Foundation Trust area. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus on developing and delivering our volunteer lead community service across the Somerset area through sessions in community settings. The service will offer:
- practical hearing aid support
- information on hearing loss and tinnitus
- hearing checks
You will be responsible for setting up and co-ordinating sessions across the region and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will work with NHS Somerset Foundation Trust audiology team and our local RNID Near You Somerset Care Home Co-ordinator to induct and train our volunteers to high standards. You will promote this service within the NHS Somerset Foundation Trust area to ensure maximum engagement and uptake. You will also be responsible ensuring all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.

The Digital Officer will support the Communications team in creating innovative and engaging content and posting to social media channels to tell the story of ParalympicsGB and its athletes. The role will work closely with sports and athletes to facilitate filming opportunities and will assist in the delivery of branded content for commercial partners and key stakeholders.
The Digital Officer will also support programmes of activity which seek to fulfil the organisation’s vision ‘through Sport inspire a better world for disabled people’.

Content creation
Develop and oversee production of content in our brand identity including video, graphics and photography for ParalympicsGB social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
