Main Purpose of the Post

To lead the strategic planning, development, and delivery of Learning through Landscapes’ (LtL) communications and marketing activities. This role will ensure effective communication with key audiences, grow engagement, and strengthen the LtL brand, positioning the organisation as the leading voice in outdoor learning and play. The Strategic Communications Lead will oversee all communications activities, manage a growing team including the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager, and ensure alignment with organisational goals and the communications strategy.

Specific Duties

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of the LtL communications strategy in line with organisational objectives.

• Align communication efforts with the key goals of growing audience engagement, generating leads, and enhancing the charity’s visibility and credibility.

• Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications adhere to LtL’s brand guidelines and key messaging.

Team Management

• Line-manage the growing Communications team, including the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager, providing guidance, support, and oversight of their responsibilities, including social media, website, and email marketing activities.

• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the communications team, and work closely with other departments to align communications with organisational priorities.

• Provide regular performance reviews and professional development opportunities for direct reports.

Campaigns and Content Development

• Plan and oversee the creation of compelling and engaging content for digital and traditional media platforms, ensuring alignment with key messaging.

• Work with the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager to deliver multichannel marketing campaigns, including organic and paid campaigns across platforms such as social media, Google Ads, and email.

• Lead on the development of innovative approaches to audience engagement, including storytelling, case studies, and evidence-led communications.

• Lead the delivery of the Outdoor Classroom Day campaign, including coordinating media interest, collaborating with global NGOs and internal teams on campaign themes, and managing data collection, evaluation, and related communications.

External and Internal Communications

• Serve as the first point of media contact for LtL, building relationships with journalists, influencers, and partners to amplify LtL’s reach.

• Advise and support internal teams on communication best practices, integrating communications planning into the early stages of project development.

• Collaborate with partner organisations to deliver cohesive and impactful communications plans for joint projects.

• Strengthen internal communication processes to ensure organisational cohesion and awareness of communications initiatives.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Improve systems for measuring and reporting communications impact, including audience engagement, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.

• Provide regular reports to senior management, using data to demonstrate progress and inform future strategies.

• Conduct ongoing analysis of audience behaviours and preferences to refine communication efforts.

General Responsibilities

• Stay informed on trends in digital marketing, communications, and education to keep LtL’s approaches current and impactful.

• Support organisational goals by contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives.

• Ensure all communications comply with GDPR and safeguarding policies.

• Represent LtL at relevant external events and networks as needed.

What you’ll need:

• Experience of leading communications or marketing at a strategic level, preferably in the charitable or education sectors

• Proven ability to develop and implement multi-channel communications strategies that grow engagement and support organisational goals

• Experience of managing staff, fostering collaboration, and supporting professional development within a communications team

• Strong track record in campaign planning and delivery, including digital marketing, content creation, and media engagement

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling

• Computer literate with experience using digital marketing tools and platforms such as email marketing systems, social media scheduling tools, and content management systems

• Strong understanding of branding and the importance of consistent messaging

• Confident using data to evaluate performance and inform strategy

• Proactive, organised, and able to work flexibly across multiple priorities

• Knowledge of GDPR compliance and safeguarding in a communications context

The Finance Officer will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Finance & Operations team play a critical role by running the day-to-day operations and providing the infrastructure that enables the continued delivery of the Trust’s mission and objectives.

The Sutton Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join the team and provide crucial support on a range of key finance processes. This is a fast-paced and hands-on role that requires an understanding of basic finance processes. You can expect a steep learning curve in a passionate and supportive working environment.

We have recently introduced a new accounting system and are looking for someone who is willing to learn, make the most of the improved technology and contribute to automating (and improving) our finance processes. The Team

This role will fit into the small Finance & Operations team and will be line managed by the Finance Manager.

Main Duties

• Maintaining the Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, grant and bursary payments, reconciling statements and making the relevant payments
• Maintaining the Sales Ledger including raising invoices and allocating receipts
• Cash management including checking bank transactions daily, allocating transactions on the accounting system and producing regular bank reconciliations. Paying in cheques and reconciling floats, if required
• Maintaining accurate records of both unrestricted and restricted fund transactions including receipts, grants, staff expenses, overheads and cash
• Providing timely and accurate financial support to the Programmes, Development and Research teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and (donor) reporting
• Supporting with the month end procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, month end adjustments, salary and overhead allocations
• Gathering monthly payroll information and reviewing monthly payroll reports
• Assisting with the administration of the pension scheme and of employee benefits
• Preparing quarterly Gift Aid claims and maintaining the relevant supporting documentation
• Assisting with the year-end statutory accounts preparation, audit and budget setting process
• Ensuring that the filing is done in a timely manner and that all paperwork is up to date
• Proactively updating your own knowledge in relation to the role, identifying and undertaking appropriate training
• Keeping up to date with legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role and the Trust’s work

Terms of Appointment

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants. 

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets. 

Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

About the role
An exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work on our specialist 10 bedded inpatient unit within Saint Michaels Hospice. You will work with our experienced specialist practitioners to deliver excellent standards of care to our inpatients. We offer a robust induction period with clinical competencies attached, and you will also benefit from regular training and education on our in-house study days to support your clinical knowledge & development.

About the Role

As a Night Support Worker, you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director you will work as part of a team covering the night shift hours delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported accommodation.

The accommodation service is based in Bishop Auckland County Durham. You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained during the night shift and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on. The aim of the service is to ensure that every client leaves with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, including safeguarding and emergency procedures, and contribute to a safe environment for all.

• Lead on risk and needs assessments and create SMART support plans tailored to individual clients.

• Provide flexible, creative, and person-centred support, encouraging client involvement in decisions and community activities.

• Work collaboratively with external agencies to support client wellbeing, ensuring compliance with data protection protocols.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide operational leadership and oversight of the Carers Manchester Volunteer Programme and support the wider development of the Volunteer Programme at Gaddum. The Volunteer Coordinator will work with Carers Manchester colleagues to ensure volunteers feel equipped and supported to use their skills and lived experience in a range of established volunteer roles.

The Operations Officer will lead the development of a new licence-based partnership opportunity, which will support the DofE’s engagement of NGBs. This role will also support the engagement of NGBs as partners across the UK. Whilst delivering this project, you will work alongside 4 other Operations Officers within the AAP team, who each manage a varied portfolio of AAPs for each Section of the DofE Award. This role will involve some travel to attend field-based meetings when necessary.

The responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:

• Producing management accounts for relevant budget holders and contributing to GPA’s client budget process
• Provide advice on financial treatment of project costs to ensure that all items are correctly assessed for capitalisation, and that the treatment of abortive costs and feasibility works are appropriately treated as RDEL, while being allocated to the correct projects
